NB Zero Tolerance Policy

its been a long time since I got registred so I don't remember- but I don't think that your registration process has anything to do with the forum rules.
NB needs to take the new users to the forum page with the forum rules- Including the posting rules and ask them to say they have read and understood them and maybe including that link to user profile at the top. They may even need a little bit of tweeking.
I know many of them would just skip down and click the box and move to the the next registration step but some would read it or they would read some of it.

You guys sound like a bunch of cry babies I had no mod trying to stick up for me when I said it wasn't Madara and everyone was hating. Hypocrites. Anyway, you prove a very valid point, that this problem was occurring before the identity of the 6th coffin was revealed.
Personally, I find the different theories of Madara and other such discussions very interesting because they are usually very different and help to get one's mind flowing. I understand that it gets frustrating for people, but this actually helps more people get involved for one reason or another.
I have gripes, but they are usually about the constant vs. threads featuring Itachi, Sasuke and Minato. Also, people can get pretty rude on here. I wouldn't mind something done about those. It's not so much about the vs. as it is about the tweaking so it would be favorable for their favorite characters to win.

I have no problem with people posting their own theories and discussing the different possibilities. However, they can all be contained in one thread. Rather than having over 300 different threads, making it nearly impossible to track useful information down, and pushing other threads into oblivion there can instead be one centralized thread for theories and whatnot (as there are now).

Personally I agree. I joined NB to discuss with other members. I didn't join to make threads that many other people made. Now every time the manga comes out I see maybe over 100 threads talking about the same thing. I understand the mods are having a big problem of this and respect them greatly for doing this work. But nothing can really stop them from posting their thoughts or their spam\flamming\trolling. I like your idea zombie and think it would be great but there is easy work around. Like someone could just make a new account and post it. :\ I just hope we can get more mods for those sections somehow. But good mods are hard to find. >.<

There are already plenty of rules, and you can avoid threads you dislike ,or you don't have any interest in by simply not clicking on them.The report button is also already invented,so you can use it if you see a thread violating some of site's rules(duplicates,spam,etc).You should be allowed to breathe and make mistakes without you getting the stick,and it is unfortunate that the mods work extra hard when big things happen,but this is a big forum and the reality is when something exciting occurs people tend to wanna bounce off their ideas/theories, which then again makes this site fun/interesting.
Besides, just because you deal with the same topic doesn't mean the content is always the same, and by merging the threads together you actually make the discussions very narrow/limited,because not a lot of people are willing to read through 300 pages of anything,so naturally people's thoughts get lost in the sea(some of them brilliant) without them getting any recognition,or the chance to further develop them.
I bet some of the folks raving about this idea will change their tune when the change gets implemented,and they get a taste of it themselves.

Quite honestly I don't care what happened to the freedom on NB. I for one am tired of people who just want to see other people suffer(Zombie). I am only using you for an example, no hard feelings but rude and twisted people need to find somewhere else to cause harm.

The biggest point I read was that the newer members join when something really epic happens. They are more than likely not gonna read the rules, find the right sections to post in, or even look through the other thread before posting their ideas on the matter. Its usually not that bad but when something epic happens such as Itachi sealing Nagato or Madara being revealed, ur gonna notice a skyrocket increase in the naruto discussion. I think a tutorial is in order. That seems good. The registered user would get a samll tutorial talking about the rules and how to navigate around the website. This way, the only members who deserve to get banned are the ones who payed no mind to the tutorial.
Lastnight(Not 100% accurate), 4 new members in Konnichi Wa section... 4 New Tobi Threads afterwards.
The amount of traffic has died out a little bit, but I don't see this being the end of it.
The amount of new threads all have the same Idea, just a different twist to the result of it.
Too many of the same thing isn't good for the Internet.
I still stand by my idea of 3 months before being able to post a new thread.
I also think that there is room for order since there is so many sections.
