Alright guys here I am again in my third installment of debunking some common Naruto misconceptions floating around the base.
I will include my old ones (at least for my second installment, I can't seem to find my first one)
Myth#1 - Madara got the rinnegan during his fight with Hashirama.
Truth- I see this one all the time and it is 100% not true. I can prove it logically as well. Hashirama was the first Hokage no? And he died shortly after the founding of Konoha. Well we saw Onoki in a flashback talking to the first Tsuchikage as a child. We later see another flashback where he is fighting Madara as a teen/young adult. Guess what? That would not have happened if Madara had died at the Valley of the End.
Myth# 2 - Sage Mode gives you unlimited chakra.
Truth - Chakra is made up of 2 parts, the spiritual and physical energy. Senjutsu chakra is made up of 3 parts, the first 2 (spiritual and physical) combined with natural energy. As they must be in equal parts to work, that means that each constitutes 1/3rd of the total chakra in sage mode.
So instead of using the total chakra, you have 1/3rd more chakra than normal. So in essence you could fight for longer, but considering that all sage mode moves are usually large and chakra consuming, it kind of evens out, but that last part is just my opinion, the rest is just logical fact. You use 2/3rds the chakra that you normally would.
Myth#3 - Water is weak to lightning.
Truth - Water is weak to earth. Earth is weak to lightning. The only reason suigetsu was hurt by Darui's attack was because he is literally made of water and couldn't reform after Darui put a sword through him.
Myth #4 - Raiton armor makes both of the raikages immune to genjutsu.
Truth - raiton armor is electricity. It is no longer chakra in the sense that it is part of his chakra network and flows along his chakra pathway.
It quite literally cannot dispel genjutsu. In fact it makes it harder for genjutsu to be dispelled, because genjutsu can be broken only a few ways. Either a counter genjutsu (which must be done inside the genjutsu), disrupting your own chakra, or pain that is not caused by the genjutsu.
As the raiton armor for at least the third raikage literally prevents most things from touching him no one would be able to cause him pain to disrupt genjutsu. And as I pointed out earlier, lightning =/= chakra. Augmenting your speed and strength through lightning is not the same thing as disrupting your chakra and it never will be.
Myth #5 - Kage bunshins and bunshins are the same thing.
Truth - they are two separate jutsus. One is the final test to become a genin, the other is a jounin rank jutsu that divides the users chakra evenly between the clones and the original.
Bunshins are just illusions and cannot fight for you. At best they can distract or intimidate people.
Kage bunshins are what Naruto does, however they don't have to be shadow clones, they can be made of water, lighting, earth, wood, etc. Itachi even demonstrated the use of a crow clone.
Myth #6 - Guy and Lee are faster than Naruto and A.
Truth - By the rules set down by Kishi, it is impossible for them to be going as fast as A and Naruto.
If need be I will explain why, though I don't think I should need to.
Myth #7 - Gentle fist comes from the Byakugan.
Truth - It is a jutsu that is usable by anyone. The Hyuga just have an advantage because of they can see chakra and have x-ray vision.
Things like the Hyuga's kaiten and gentle fist are just jutsus, anyone can do them with practice. The only thing that they can't replicate is having the Byakugan.
Myth #8 - Hanzo can beat the 3 Sannin at the same time.
Truth - The Sannin were teenagers when they fought Hanzo that were nowhere near their prime. It also was full scale battle with allies for both sides. The name came just because they were the only survivors on their side, and Hanzo was the only survivor on his.
Myth #9 - You don't need Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi to have Susanoo
Truth - Yes you do. Databook says it. That is all.
I'll add more, and hopefully alot of people view this thread to get a few things straight, but there you go for now. Feel free to disagree, but state why with logic and facts.
