Well he may have a speed advantage over those Shikamaru and Shino but I think Shino's bugs and Shikamaru's brain would have leveled the playing field a bit. And I also not saying that Shikamaru and Shino would win outright, no problem. I just think that it would have been a possibility. Or at least with Shino since Shika technically lost when he fought Tenmari.

yeah, but remember that shino bugs cant eat kyuubi chakra, so i that would still be an issue for shino

Eh maybe. I think Sasuke, Shikamaru or Shino might have been able to beat Naruto at that point. It would just depend on if Naruto could summon Gamabuta. And he was only able to do that with Gaara because he was protecting Sakura and Sasuke. Not sure if he would be able to pull it off in a normal tournament battle. But like Gatsuuga said we will never know.

now that i think about it, back then naruto should have been able to win the chuuin exam...when the exams got interrupted naruto already beat neji, his next opponent would have been the sauce or gaara...gaara showed himself to be a powerful foe but naruto manage to beat, sasuke at that point was in no way stronger than naruto, in fact he lost against gaara initial bijuu form....so those 2 were the only people who would have given naruto a fight back then, the rest im sure werent going to beat naruto
now when u look at it, naruto was the person who had the highest probability to win the chuunin exams but he would still not be promoted into one

what? sasuke was better than naruto at that point..naruto didnt have rasengan lol heres how it goes down...
naruto uses shadow clone, ssasuke jums and uses katon and destroys them all...naruto activate fox chakra and starts kicking sasuke but butt...sasuke gets 3 tomoe kickes naruto's ass and then gives him a chidori
