I thought about Tobirama and SM for a while before. I mean his brother uses it, he shown to know quite a lot about it as well. Maybe he tried to master it before but couldn't perfected it, that would explain why he can sense it like that. After all perfecting SM isn't required to sense NE.

As Conspirator said, the Doujutsu involves the brain a lot, and since Naruto is as stupid as they come (basically the brain of a kid, much like yourself) he probably won't even be able to use one technique.

Naruto is actually pretty smart. He is just childish at times, though I doubt he stays that way. It is a fact though that he is battle-smart at least. Book smart? Not so much

Not just Kaguya though. Naruto had been a on-the-spot tactician ever since the Zabuza arc. Read back a few chapters to where Naruto creates a plan and he works together with Sasuke to help Kakashi escape from the Water Prison Jutsu. It expands from there, but he gets overshadowed by his stupidity for example - His talk with Hagoromo XD
