Naruto, smart?!

We now know who Naruto's mother and father were. Both were very adept at sealing techniques, so why has Naruto always been so stupid, his father was a genius, his mother was a genius at seals, so it should be that Naruto has a natural ability with them. Also that would help the story as Naruto would be able to seal the dead geezers.

i think that naruto is genius kinda, like mastering jounin lv technique when he wasn´t even a genin that is something, mastering technique that only 1 more alive person can use now is cool too, + he did something that no one did, that is that he added elemental chakra into rasengan, he mastered the SM on the level which no one other reached, and for manga only guys read the spoiler

he tamed nine-tails and is now mastering it´s chakra that is something cool

for reasons i mentioned is sure that he IS a genius, to him being smart, now he isn´t stupid if we consider his fight with kakuzu

But that's not intelligent, that's persistence and a natural fighting ability. He hasn't shown any proper intelligence. He's basically a savant at fighting.

He has instinct that is all a good fighter needs look at all anime the main charater is always pretty stupid but when they get into a fight they understand the mechanics of how to fight Example: Yu yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, Naruto all the main charaters are refered to as stupid but they know how to kick ass simply put.....

He isn't stupid, just naive about some things. In matters of love and stuff like that he is stupid. But he has matured and gotten alot smarter since the beginning. He is a strategist now, not just some brawler

Naruto instinctively comes up with strategies on the spot or mid fight, he could become very smart if he used shadow clone jutsu to study different techniques and when he release it he just gains all that knowledge.

Naruto did something that the 4th couldn't do not because the 4th couldn't but because i think wind nature chakra was the only element that could combine wit rasengan and mabe the 4th didn't have wind nature chakra!!

think about it
kakashi couldn't combine lighting with rasengan
and i don't think u can combine fire or earth or water with rasengan

some techniques i think require a specific nature chakra

In my personal opinion, though he may not be exactly intelligent such as Shikamaru or Neji, he has the potential to become greater then all of them. Plus he just has the natural instincts of a person born to be a shinobi.

Well he isnt stupid, he just has a short attention span, and he was raised himself without his genius parents to guide him throughout life. I think he's pretty smart both in fighting and in intelligence for a boy who had no parents to guide him. He had to fend for himself WHILE being shunned and teased.

well from time to time he really is stupid but then again usually in battle he's quite smart so I'd say halfgenius or something like that : D..he can surpise everyone in everythin but he isn't a natural genius.
I'll guess he'll learn some sealing jutsu along the way.

well i think he is pretty smart, just not as smart as he could be. yes, his parents were geniuses, but you can't expect him to be a genius just because his parents were, he didn't have minato or kushina to raise him so he was basically on his own, he had to figure things out for himself. i don't think shikamaru would have been as smart as he is if he was completly alone and had no one to learn from. perhaps, some people are just born natrually smart so this could also be the answer to some geniuses like shikamaru.

naruto always thinks on the spot without any planned tactic and if you ask me, for someone to think as fast as naruto, they have to be smart and plus naruto only acts stupid because he wants others to recognise him. Plus you have to agree, lately he hasn't been acting stupid

naruto was alone alot when he was a kid he neva listened in class and not many people taught him a great deal till he met iruka and plus he neva really paid attention when he was a kid its why ur starting to see naruto become more mature and smart wise now during these upcoming and recent manga is because now he does listen and learn so he is improving and he is not dumb no more i recon
