The discussion was about ambition. Hinata's has always been to better herself. The fact that she loves Naruto may not mean much to you on face value however if you paid any attention to the manga you would know it's purely due to his resolve, determination and hard work ethic. Any chick who crushes for a guy for these reasons is a keeper.

As for her relevance, hinata never once burdened her feelings on Naruto nor has she ever shoved her self onto him. She was mature and dignified. Only confessed when she was ready to die for him. Again this is a massive plus.

You have had your say about hinata. Now go and find something redeeming about your fav.

She doesn't have a ambition nor goals outside Naruto, simple as that, even when Neji died she cried for like a panel then thought of Naruto straight after

Gotta face the facts she's one dimensional like any other female written by Kishi, you're just giving him too much credit :coffee:

Hinata's goal should have been reclaiming her rightful position as head of her clan but instead it was a boy.

Did you want a war with no important characters being killed?

This and other posts on tumblr said there was a kishi interview where NEJI DIED TO PLAY CUPID TO NARUHINA....idk if its real, but if it is, that is insane.

How is she not one dimensional? What was her character anyways?

You know a main character is terrible when her/his characterization and development are compared to a side character that appears once in a blue moon throughout the series.

I realized something today after seeing even more SS drawing from jump festa 2015**...Kishimoto is a horrible author. That's it... He shitted on everyone in the end including himself and his characters. It's not even worth arguing anymore cuz he produced a story that ended up contradicting itself in the end. Example: Naruto never loved Sakura...WTF???? Example: Narusaku moments were done to mislead you...WTF??? and for the record, i hate narusaku.

**Example: lets pretend 693 didnt happen. lets pretend sasuke didnt tell naruto to let sakura burn in lava. lets just draw a big happy ss family and pretend shippuden didnt shit on SS completely. lets just...pretend...
Actually, I agree that NS would have been bad. It would make Sakura seem like a bad person. :| This manga is about forgiveness and redemption. I sincerely don't like it sometimes, but I get that it's part of the story. NH was bound to happen and so was SS.

I do think Kishimoto did Sakura wrong though and I agree he is far from the best author

Its called a red herring. It's really not that uncommon at all.

Yea....I've ALWAYS been pro NaruHina and knew NaruSaku wouldn't happen, HOWEVER, Kishi is insulting our intelligence with the whole "Naruto didn't really love Sakura thing".....that flashback with Sai did not show a man who didn't genuinely love a girl or only wanted her bc she wanted his rival.

That said, his loving her didn't mean they were meant to end up together. Naruto accepted Sakura loved Sasuke from part 1. I think he had a MATURE love that only wanted her to be happy..if that meant with Sasuke, then so be it. So his heart had moved on.

Whether or not the red herring stuff is common, Kishi would've been better off properly developing the friggin pairing her planned on from the beginning and actually showing some positive development between SS.....now, Sakura looks like an utter joke by ending up with a dude who was ready to let her burn in a pit of fire just 7 chapters prior. It's ridiculous.

That's fine if they die, but not for a pairing. Or do you think that was ok?

Naruto never loved Sakura. He crushed on her. Please learn the definition of loving and crushing.

You see that is my point. You guys are angry because he died for pairings. I don't understand this anger honestly? Do you think Naruto not having a family was better for his character? When that was one of the biggest aspects of his life he regretted not having?

Also if not Neji who would you kill?

Its not like they said he didn't have feelings for her. They just established why he did. It was a retarded reason but the sad thing is it was the most logical one. The whole team 7 love dynamic exists because Kishimoto said so. He didn't develop that aspect of why they started having feelings at all. Only bothered with Hinata's reason for loving Naruto.

****ed up thing is that Neji ended up being completely irrelevant to their love story thanks to The Last. Good for the script writer to throw that out the window.

I read other manga so even though the way Kishi did the ending pairing wise was crap. I didn't really care as much anymore.
