[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 622 Discussion and 623 Predictions

I liked the chapter, way better than the last one.
I give this chapter a 5.

This was a decent chapter, if a bit redundant. I mean, fans have talked about child soldiers and the like for years, and he's only now bringing it up? Children's situation isn't that different when you think about it - sure they generally live longer one would imagine, but they're still being trained to kill, deceive, look for traps and live like expendable soldiers for the rest of their lives when they're what, younger than 10? Talking about it now as if Hashirama somehow succeeded is pointless, although Kishimoto gets extra cred for the effort.

It's nice to see Madara having a bit more of a human side but it still feels unnecessary when you know he's going to grow up to be the biggest douche in the universe. Compare it to if we hadn't known who Obito was, and his former identity was revealed when the mask shattered.

Overall I don't know what to think...as I said it feels a bit redundant, but it's a nice change of pace I suppose. Had the power levels not gone out of control, this story would have had more of an impact on me, I believe. The theme of the first season of Naruto is there, but since it more or less disappeared in Shippuden, it feels as if the author is desperately trying to shove it back in as if it had never been absent to begin with.

4/5 After this chapter i understand madara a little more now.

But this doesn't change the fact that his "moons eye" plan is wrong because the war era he(and Obito) has known is over.

The only war is the one they started because of their old feelings. Which has done nothing but unite the shinobi world. :flaw:

I really like the fact that madara wasn't always evil even from the beggining.

I also like how hashi is wanting peace and not violence, he honestly sounds like
a true leader, but his father thinks other wise lol

Not horrible, but im a little sad at the fact that we will be watching flashbacks for weeks . I did like seeing that there was a third senju brother, and 4 uchiha brothers. Makes sense that things started changing because of how many children were dying. Sad chapter for sure. I give it 4/5

Come on! People ask for the backstory of Madara and Hashirama, they finally get it, yet they still complain.

I think this chapter was excellent 5/5. We are finally starting to see who the character of Madara really is, which is good considering he has been tearing the Kages and Shinobi alliance to shreds.

When there was too much action in the war week after week... people complained. Now we are finally getting an idea of the truth behind Madara and Hashirama, which is actually very relevent as Hashi is about to enter the battlefield, yet people still complain?? Lol oh well... At least we are reading for free. Kishi is the one putting in all of the effort.

Still, everyones entitled to their opinion i guess :shrug: (gosh there's no pleasing some people heh hehehe)

Stand out points:

Hashirama and Tobirama had a younger brother! Poor guy... he wasnt cut out for the battlefield U_U Awwww..
Hashiramas father!? Whoa!
Madara and Izuna had other brothers!
We finally see that they met during war at a mutual (ish) ground. A place where they just wanted to find some solace.
We can also now start to understand the severity of the impact that the war at the time had on all that were involved, namely Uchiha and Senju.

However, we can also see that Madara had started out good... a bit of a Diva, and a bit rough around the edges, but good. Deep down he wanted peace. So we can now understand why Hashirama was trying to reason with him before he was forced to go all Sage art (Yes Sage Art for those still trying to argue that it wasnt) and summon the Shinsuusenju Goddess of Mercy (Few Thousand Hand) Wood Statue in their battle (which we have yet to see the outcome of)

Kishi is doing a good job with this storyline.

It was a little boring honestly for me,but after I read it on *********** it's ok. I thought that this would be the end of flashbacks,obviously not for now..

Awesome chapter. On of the best and its a flash back chapter. Very well told. I like how they show how hard it was growing up back them we now understand why hashi and madaras power levels are what they are it really was a dog eat dog world the strong survive the weak are killed off.

Madara is a bit of a bully but a very likable guy it was nice to here his ideals and reaffirm that all he wants is peace (even thought right now he's going about it kinda wrong). He's quick to lose his temper but always apologizes for it he really was a good kid in a MAAD world (ha ha kendrick lamar reference).

Him and hashi both had more than just one brother that was very interesting to find out now Izuna death is far more significant as he lost 3 brothers before him.

I know understand and forgive Tobirama for his aggression toward the uchihas. They killed his youngest brother.

Very moving chapter especially they last few panels where madara comforts hashi and skips his stone to the other side of the lake.

If all flash back chapters were like this there would be far less complaining

TBH, i would rather see Hashirama & Madara background story from when they were kids as an Naruto Arc. Mainly because there are alot of things that can happen, plus it wouldn't be boring as they were born in a war and we can see how the two became the strongest shinobis.

If it was made into an Arc, it could get interesting. Whereas i think Kishi might rush this, and not go into detail as it should be done for these 2 characters...

If it was made into an Arc

- We would be able to Hashirama's parents more/how their clan was like.
- More of the Senju Clan (which we don't know much about)
- Madara's parents/and more about their clan members.
- Other clans - eg. Uzamaki....
- Warring of these clans (this would be 10x better than the 4th shinobi world war, as shinobis back then were on a different level, this World War, only some characters are performing well, while others are a waste)
- More info/past on Uchiha/Senju clan
- Madara & Izuna relationship, their training - which is said to be intense. and both were equal.
- Madara & Hashirama past encounters as enemies. Their past "Fight to the death" battles and altogether showing us how they all matured.
- Hashirama and Madara's own family (when they became Dad's, and how they are were) dunno if madara had kids, but Hashirama did.

But without the Arc we won't be able to see pretty much any of these things...
