lots of dead people, I really liked how emotionally descriptive this one turned out to be, I felt both, the argument so as the drawings very well linked.

For next chap, by following the current Hash-Maddy storyline, we´ll get to them finding excercising their friendship somehow.. fights, agreements, konoha foundation... madara´s sweetheart will probably die

Hashirama and Madara are so damn funny and somehow cute. This is going to be a Naruto- Sasuke remake. But Madara is way mooore interesting in personnality than emo Sasuke

For those who think these chapters are a waste of time and get angry at Kishi, I think you're missing out on the reason why these are quite possibly the most important chapters to ever be released. These chapters are giving us the true beginning of both Hasirama and Madara's true feelings about shinobi life. We're eventually going to see just how Madara changed to become the antagonist of the Naruto universe. All this is going to tie into Sasuke and Naruto's feelings about shinobi life, and will show the parallels in the lives of Hashi/Madara and Naru/Sasu. This is going to give us insight on how the entire Naruto universe is going to change forever, and the ending to the manga itself.

I agree that this chapter is one of the most important ones, possibly more revealing than the last action filled one.

Many people complain about the Naruto series as a whole being about "highly visible ninja that do very "un-ninja" things." This chapter reveals why. The establishment of ninja villages has made the ninja world easier to live in, to the extent that there are no longer rules forbidding children from "stating their family name." That is so much more different than Uzumaki Naruto constantly announcing himself to ally and enemy alike. The average lifespan for a shinobi was 30 years during that war ravaged time. Kakashi and Guy would be the few that made it. Hiruzen would be a miracle.

This chapter did a great job of establishing a foundation for Madara and Hashirama to branch from. They endured the same problems in the same wartorn world, and grew to be very different people. The coming chapters should be very interesting reads.

So I have this chapter a 4/5 why cause it was awesome I like talking but then I don't so 4 and 1/2 haha
This chapter was really sad and depressing ,
Dear lord Hashirama is a depressing sensitive smart ass Kidd haha
Just like madara too ! Except madara more open about it

The thought of them having more than the current siblings we already knew doesn't surprise me so cause the end result was there death madara had 4 brothers I would want to assume they were all older and izuna was the baby
With Hashirama on the other hand he had all siblings little and I guess I can say that the one they were burying was another brother
Of there's and then itawa died sucks really does

Fathers like theres! are very easy to hate haha there prideful selfs kinda like vegeta flash

Kawrama is the one who died yeah
Damn it really does suck little children

And with madara having just his baby brother I have one baby bro And only sibling , was only child for 17 years now bam lol
In a fit of rage and if our world was like that constant war having that life then yes I would do anything in my power to save my sibling from that life create a better world
But of course he dies
But what we are now seeing is that madara obviously didn't steal his brothers his eyes
So will see what really happen to drive him to that
Rage of love sounds kinda GAY haha but hey
Like I said I'd do the same if it was my baby brother
Even his death would turn me so

I agree! I loved everything you wrote. Like I wrote in another topic: Naruto's characters always have a portion of humanity that makes us closer to them. Even hating them! It is very interesting!

Take this opportunity to add that little Madara's personality is very different from what I imagined. Nothing better than to be surprised.

+ Hashirama and Madara's friendship, Kishi made it clear in 1 chapter that these kids had a through life, they comforted each other and had the same dreams.

+ Hashirama's father was hardcore, he believe that one has to ride and die with his clan. He is kinda like Fugaku Uchiha.

+ Tobirama quick thinking.


- The third senju brother who died 2 pages after he was introduced, i'm all for characters dying but this death didnt mean anything. The kid got to say 3 lines!!

- Madara having 4 dead brothers, this is to random. However, this could explain why Itachi and Sasuke have a similar powers as Madara and why Sasuke looks like Izuna's twin. Maybe they are related after all.

I somewhat knew we will perfectly see how these people developed and why they are like they are now. Can really understand this silly moons eye plan abit more now. Growing up in such an environment with a sensitive personality like this, no wonder he went insane.

I expect alot more chapters like these though. Still missing Izuna's death that must have come alot later.

What interested me the most is the final conversation between Hashirama and Madra is sharing each other's thought and feeling. I think this is the genesis of a shared feeling and thought between two top-level shinobis. Same thing as Sasuke said to Naruto during their first fight in the Valley of the End. Naruto was able to reciprocate this same thought.

Well, it seems this flashback is gonna be alot more enjoyable than Kabuto's, after all. I'm not too surprised by their childish sides, but I honestly didn't expect them to have more than one brother (no sisters, though, I might point outxd). Seems Hashirama had a strained relationship with his father, too (I'm willing to bet that, since this is his flashback, Madara's personal life won't be shown more closely, which kinda sucks, in my opinion). Also, I wonder what reactions Hashirama and Madara will have when they find out that they're from opposing clans. Overall, I love the insight this chapter gave 5/5 for me
