He didn't break edo on purpose, it was an accident. That crow was meant to be used on Sasuke when Sasuke fought Naruto using the EMS(Itachi's Eyes). Itachi never thought he would be zombie'd back on the field thus his plan backfiring. He programed Shisui's eye to ginjutsu Sasuke to protect Konoha but since Shinsui's eye was used on him now hes under that affect.
i remembered kabuto complementing itachi in breaking his edo tensei.. "i cant belive that is already in that level".. it is something that itachi planned earlier using his superb genjustsu ability..
That's because Kabuto didn't know Itachi implanted a crow with Shisui's eye into Naruto. He thought that Itachi broke edo through his own will which he didn't. He broke edo by sure luck. It wasn't Itachi's genjutsu that broke edo it was Shisui's. The crow was suppose to be used on Sasuke(after he took Itachi's eyes because the crow will only activate through Itachi's MS which is how Itachi programed it to save Sasuke.) but Itachi never thought it would be used on him self.
shut the funks up, honesly that fuxer is dead deal with it enough already, tobi is most likely a set up madara(the devil) had planned he even half reviles it a little somewhere in the manga this week, obito is dead you and all other obito plot fans are R tarded!!! xd
Dude, of course he knew the crow wasn't used on Sasuke yet. Naruto explained to Itachi what Sasuke motives were. Itachi was being CONTROLLED by Kabuto at that time. Now remember, Itachi at first thought Sasuke was back with the leaf when he first ran into Naruto and Bee. While Itachi was under Kabuto's control, Itachi used ama which of course he had to use his MS. That then activated the crow to pop up. Itachi did not break edo on his own, it was just luck. He was being controlled by Kabuto!
