Yeah cool chapter, if this is how the rest of the war is going to be it's going to be awesome. Some fated reunions, emotions on the battlefield, new jutsus, random charachters getting a chance to kick ass. And most of all fast paced no talk jutsus just straight to the action. I wonder how Kankurou and co. are going to handle an immortal Sasori and Deidara. It will probable be Deidara vs. Sai in the air. And Kankurou and Sasori against each other. It's like they said whoever wins that battle will set the tone for the rest of the war and can help the rest of the army by setting traps. And thank god Kankurou explained clearly how edo tensei works. No more threads and endless theories of that. So i guess cutting limbs off is the easist way to immobilize an summon. If they do it without killing them they can't be summoned again as well.

Wow great way to start the war. Really like how Kishi started it off jumping around the battlefield than concentrating the later pages on one battle. I thought it was well done.

The first page with Omoi over thinking things like always was hilarious, truly something I don't think anyone could have predicted Kishi start the war with. LOL i loved it.

As for what some people said about the old tsuchikage not telling the alliance about edo tensi, seems they are all well aware about the technique and the limitations on stopping it.

Alkad, in regard to our conversation last discussion section, I won't continue to argue with you. You're right about the two of us seeing things way differently and I respect your opinions and ideas. Lets focus on this awesome start to the war!

Found this a pretty boring chapter, would have liked to see the final training that bee wanted to give Naruto (some Rap-training, perhaps? ).

Nice to see Sai's brother though, but it's pretty lame that Deidara & Sasori just go in and nuke the alliance team like that, as Steinbiz said.

Next week will probably just be a followup on this...

Exciting start to the fights. I only wish it could have been twice as long.

Does this mean Anko is dead? I hope not, but it doesn't look good for her. Too bad we didn't get to see their fight.

It also seems some theories about Edo Tensei have been laid to rest. It felt almost like Kishi was speaking directly to us. lol

well the first well known character to die in the war was officially anko.

Also having sasori in this team is going to be tough to defeat because he can easily make a puppet out of everyone he defeats. this will become a problem if they can't stop him quickly.

No more threads and endless theories of that. So i guess cutting limbs off is the easist way to immobilize an summon. If they do it without killing them they can't be summoned again as well.

Immobilize means bind them in some way, stop them from moving. Remember an edo tensi summon can regenerate limbs, thats what Kankuro meant by attacks not working.

Nice chapter, my prediction of Sasori using living humans as real puppets was right on the mark and I'm truly anxious to see how strong Omoi really is. I'm quite sad about the Aburame guy as he seemed a cool character and being blown to bits like that is just horrible. But it indeed set the tone for this war.
I hope Anko is fine, that half twisted personality of hers hasn't gotten much attention since the Chunin exams

It was nice that so many different shinobi were introduced and the mistake from 2 chapters ago has been changed. They said that the Hotspring and Mist villages were in between the two armies, though I thought Mist couldn't be possible as that's a large island miles away from there and it appeared it was the Frost village. I like that kind of small background information and anecdotes like the geography about the Naruto world. It makes it more real

Well I'm not sure cutting of limbs will be enough. I remember that Sarutobi injured the limbs of the 1st and 2nd hokage very heavily, but it was cured instantly. I deem it very possible that if you cut off a limb, they can just re-attach it. Maybe best to just destroy their limbs.

Ok finally edo tensei was explained. you have to bind them like yamato can do with his wood element, capture them in a strong illusion, bind their hands and legs to a wall like Jyraia did and maybe other methods. As someone stated above if you cut off their legs or hands they will just regenerate.
And about sealing them, maybe there are other ways to seal them except for the dead demon seal, we have seen the inextinguishable flames sealed in a pocket scroll so maybe there are other seals to get rid of them.
I hope kishi won't focus on this battle alone it will take at least another 2-3 chapters if not longer, we all want to see naruto's final training, sasuke's ems, other cool fights.
