you have to think of it first. Even the masters don't know everything. And subtle little breakthroughs can happen all the time. Those little differences separate great people from normal people in all fields of life. Simple things you feel bad about never thinking of. Wishing you thought of that.

But basically the most probable anwser is kishi just came up with it.......the 2nd wouldn't of known about it cause it didn't exist....and cause just plainly that fight went the way it was suppose to with hiruzen vs oro. Its a story. Its fixed.

edo madara is forever . he has broke the contract and has acquired unlimited chakra and undying body. he is even stronger than SO6P now. i am sure of it

similarly how the fk did edo madara knew about edo tensei. he knew hand sign . it was trademark jutsu of 2nd hokage. so did 2nd hokage ever used edo tensei on madara and at that time madara did managed to learn it????????

now how the **** edo madara will die. i think we need the best fuijutus and hero of narutoverse. i.e minato.

i have a strange feeling that either 1st hokage or 2nd hokage will come out of nowhere due to plot no jutsu and kick ass of edo madara . yes i am sure abt it.

it is somthing like what happened to itachi but this time , 1. he did it when he was released of control
2.and he know the hand signs to control his edo body and soul and avoid vanishing, it is like he is his own edo summoner i think ) .

So if you know the seals, you're can control yourself. Then why didnt the 2nd Hokage do that when he was summoned by Orochimaru - I guess he knew how is own jutsu worked, right?

Edo Tensei's caster has full control over the ones he has summoned. In case of Tobirama, he could not control his body as he saw fit, so there was no risk of him escaping the jutsu. The risk of Edo Tensei is: at the very moment of release, the summoned, who can control his body in a very short time, can escape if the seals are known. And it is exactly what happended.

And for people who said what Itachi has done is pointless. No, it ain't:
- Story-wise, Itachi (inadvertently) freed Madara, which opens so many opportunities of story development.
- Itachi did save life of many fodder shinobis. Though not as epic as stopping Madara, it's still something that needs to be acknowleged.
- Itachi gave Sasuke love. Aside from the very emotional parting moment, it could also be the onset of Sasuke's redemtion. Every wonders start with a tiny brick.
- The role of Kabuto in the next phase of the war is still unclear.

All in all, though this chapter is not as great as the last one, I love the way Kishi develops his story. 5 stars without hesitation.

what disappoint me is that when oro used edo tensei on 1st and 2nd hokage why didnt they used the seals themselves and released themself form control of orochimaru. i mean if edo 1st and 2nd hokage had regained consiounces then this world had been a much safer place to live:noc::noc::noc::noc:

for the love of god dan finally did something relevant :T_T: 5/5 just for that, also several confirmations made, ghost release is indeed OP, and from what i can tell, within a certain distance of the user, indefensible, there is apparently another weakness in edo tensei the madara some how knows, that implications for that in itself are staggering, edo tensei bodies' have unlimited chakra, but they do feel exhaustion , so chances are their chakra is constantly regenerating at an inhuman rate, and madara broke free, and will probably pay tobi a visit, if they fight i will wet myself wease:
