Hi this is my first time posting here, but here are some theories on what Nagato's power and why he uses those black spears. I believe that the hell king statue summon is something simular to the shiki fuin, a double edged sword. certain victory and certain death. Also Nagato uses those spears to control his other summons because he doesn't have contracts with them, and the reason behind the Six Paths was because the Hell King ruined his body to where it was useless, but the yin-yang power of the rinnegan, which not only allows him to his force powers, but control the dead like puppets. Kind of reminds me of the Gravemind and the Flood from Halo. Also that whole chakra dissruption thing he does is the same thing he uses to control his Paths, it's just that living people have a certain level of resistence to it hence the unbearable pain. So what do you all think?

Were people honestly surprised Naruto isn't going to kill Nagato?
One question (haven't read entire thread, apologies if I am repeating):
How did Nagato survive that explosion, let alone have his legs still attached to his body? I know Konan pushed him out of the way, probably absorbing most of the blast - but the manga emphasized his legs and how they were all burned...was there some technique I missed that saved his bottom limbs?

well remember one of his powers is to absorb ninjustus and the reason that he got burned was he is still not 100% efficient with them yet

Even though naruto forgave pain it doesn't mean they are going to be best buds.
(my prediction)
1.The leaf ninjas are going to drop in and try to kill pain and naruto is going to stop them not because they are friends but naruto isn't a cold blood killer type. and chit back and forth
2. chit chat about naruto's answer.
3. Naruto asks pain about the masked dude (aka tobi) and naruto tell pain what his farther told him.
4. danzo appears out of no where kill pein and use this a reason for why he should be hokage instead of Lady-T because she couldn't kill pein. (this won't stick to well because she saved most of the villagers)
5. (least likely) we see sasuke somewhere or the 8tails or the cloud ninjas

this is my first posting...I'm so glad they are finished with Nagato's flashbacks. It's time for Naruto to whoop someone's ass, I'm in ass whoopin withdrawal.
I hope Danzou or Sasuke makes an appearance in the next chapter. If they do that I can hold out a lil bit longer.

I was under the impression that ninja he controlled who absorbed the ninjitsu was not nagato's ability but that specific body...i have to go back and re-read!

nagato will not be killed by naruto but by somebody else like sasuke , madara or danzou
naruto will get kicked out of konha by danzou then he will train to control the nine tailed fox by the 8 tails

To be honest i think this will happen: Nagato will try and fight Naruto, of coarse Naruto will fight back but not kill him but during the fight Nagato goes over board uses to much power and in that case was lethel to him he will have a water fall of blood comeing out of his mouth then the paper girl will grab onto Nagato say something to Naruto and they vanish after word when Naruto goes back to the village people will be like "what the hell did you let him go for???"and he may or may not answer and basically we see if Kakashi is alright we see the hole Naruto hinata deal we may see him get title hokage etc. OR this may happen naruto never returns to the village but rather goes after the rest of Akatsuki and he goes alone because he does not want anymore death (remember) i don't think he knows if Hinata is alive or not) probly thinks she may be dead thus does not want to see any one else close to him "die" also he may run into Mr. 8 tails and somehow convinces him to teach him how to control the fox)just a guess! Then when he leaves, Sakura and the rookie 9 go after him and of coarse arrive RIGHT when Naruto is fighting Madarra we basically see the hole team work to gather and as for Saskua i REALLY don't know what will happen if Naruto stays in the village when Sasuke Arrives to destroy the village (well whats left of it) and we will see a show down for that WHO KNOWS???????? As for that jerk Danzo i think once the village finds out that he hid along with root there will be a riot Danzo may try and kill the 5th and/or flee. then i think he will run into Sasuke and well its lights out for Danzo. also that scroll will the other half of the fox any ideas what that may be for? i cant think of a event where it may be used. any ways i hope we see more of the sage-fox power thing in combat well, let me know what you think of my theorys!!

But Danzou has all of Root with him and he is a pretty sneaky guy from what we have seen so far in the manga where did he call when nagato flipped out. I still think someone will kill Nagato for some reason and I still think Danzou will have something to do with it.

wow cool chapter. it be awesome if kakashi is not dead. if he happen to be dead i hope tusnade lady can use some type of jutsu to revive his life in exchange for hers (as someone people had mention) also nagato will feel sorry for whar he had done to kakashi and gave him an rininegan eye. that way kakashi is have two powerful eyes +_+.

Just occured to me:
Clearly, when the Pain vs. Naruto face-off to end, in all likelyhood Pain will die, either by violence, or by overspending his power; I'm going to predict the first, so some manner of final, regretful yet necessary battle between Nagato and Naruto. Now seeing as the soul/tailed beast absorbing creature is Nagato's pet, possibly even some central tenet of his power, before Nagato goes, some explanation will have to be given about what happens to that creature, and with it WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ALL THE TAILED BEASTS WITHIN? I think Nagato will summon the creature, probably towards the end of the next issue, but from there on, what will happen to the tailed beasts when it's destroyed, I've no idea.
Thoughts anyone?

I don't see them fighting or fighting to the death. This will end with nagato having a different point of view just like Naruto. Like I said earlier, its about forgiveness. Not only to others but to yourself. I don't think Naruto has completely realized it yet, but Nagato has guilt. He's blaming others when really he's probably blaming himself. Naruto has to play a scene from Good Will Hunting and tell him its not his fault and have him cry on his shoulder. lmao
I'm serious. I doubt that will happen, but that is what needs to be done sometime down the road.
If I'm right and that does happen. A new alliance will be made.

I haven't forgotten about te Sages getting together. At this point, I want to be surprised by not thinking about what will happen so much. Just general obvious predictions.

It's gay and stupid for Naruto to not kill Nagato. As someone once said, he achieves nothing by doing this. He isn't putting an end to this "hatred cycle" or whatever Nagato was talking about, cause someone else is going to still be hating as long as there is violence in the ninja world. No one is witnessing Naruto's decision besides Nagato and Konan. Nagato infiltrated Konoha and killed many innocent people; he should be killed. Yes his childhood was tough, but so was Naruto's and many other ninjas. Screw him.
It's gay and stupid for Naruto to not kill Nagato. As someone once said, he achieves nothing by doing this. He isn't putting an end to this "hatred cycle" or whatever Nagato was talking about, cause someone else is going to still be hating as long as there is violence in the ninja world. ev1 knew this was coming......and he isn't gonna kill nagato nor even madara for that matter.....he won't kill anyone he has never killed a single person and if he doesn't kill nagato the most hated enemy he has ever had,probably will ever have.....its not happening.....its one step at a time here......this is just the begining of the whole changing the world thing.....as for my predictions/thoughts on future
1-nagato will die soon....but first he will "befriend" naruto and tell the plans for the bijuu and what he knows of madara and either will kill danzou or be killed by him....my guess is he gets killed......naruto defeats danzou/anbu (with help from yamato,sai and others)
2-kakashi will live on.....either on his own, or help from the 5th (more than likely giving up her life in the process)
3-would be cool if both naruto and kakashi or shikimaru were named hokage.....didn't 1st and 2nd share the title?? it won't be just naruto anytime soon......he has too much to do outside the village
4-i think we will see sasuke soon.....but i have no freakin idea what path he will take.........he may see village and just leave
