i hope to see neji fight at some point, its been such a long time since he had a decent fight, the last one he had was with one of orochimaru's henchmen the dude which could spin web or something

I made that same prediction a few pages ago
Another GREAT chapter from Kishi! woo! I loved how Naruto went off like an A-bomb. KABOOM! (Yes, like that
Any who... on to my prediction and analysis of the chapter.
Personally, I don't think that Hinata is dead. I noticed a few things that I think Kishi put in to suggest that she isn’t. (I can’t post links yet, so I’ll just tell page #/panel)
#1 (And probably most obvious): Hinata finally confesses her love for Naruto, and I don't think that Kishi is so heartless to killer off within a few pages of her doing so
#2: Page 14 panel 3 (middle left): I believe that kishi blocked her from view with the debris from Shinra Tensei so we have no idea where Pain actually stabbed her. For all we know, Pain stabbed her in the hands like he did Naruto, and she's just unconscious. It isn’t like with Kakashi where we KNOW he was shot through the head with a nail. (Or through the Sharingan eye) Or pa frog was stabbed through the chest. (More like through entire torso, he's so small
#3: And finally the overall feel final pages. I believe that pain just wanted Naruto to think that Hinata was dead to finally get him to show the Kyuubi, and Hinata is just unconscious.
As for my prediction to the next chapter, I have a few possibilities, each more unlikely than the last.
1) Naruto fights with the kyuubi and gains control, then using the extendo-arm thing he used against Orochimaru, picks up Hinata and moves her over to Tsunade and Sakura. Then he continues to fight/annihilate pain.
2) Team Gai arrives, Neji sees that Hinata is severely wounded and on the brink of death, and he reveals that the mark on his forehead serves another purpose, namely that he can sacrifice himself to save a member of the main branch family. ( I know I'm going to get some hate replies from Neji lovers from this one, but it's just a prediction)
3) Pain walks towards QB Naruto, turning his back on Hinata, she slowly gets to her feet and does a 64 palm strike on god realm. Naruto sees that Hinata is still alive, senses that the kyuubi is going to go on an all out rampage in pain/Hinata's general direction, and forces himself to stop (by either learning to control the Kyuubi's chakra, or plain suppressing it with willpower.) so that he doesn't harm Hinata.
Sorry for such a long post, I just couldn't help myself after such an amazing chapter :3

yes it is unfair but being born in the side branch means you must do everything u can to protect the main branch. The heir from the side branch this time is stronger than the main branch, which is rare as i recall someone said in the anime.

I think Tsunade won't be able to be Hokage anymore since her chakra reserve uses her life force and each use shortens her life span.
If Chakra is right in predicting 7th means one thousand it would mean that Tsunade's and J-man's conversation would come true in that Kakashi was a given to be Hokage and that Naruto would be Hokage one day but it's too soon for him.
And once again another Hokage will be of the Senju clan, not in blood like the 3rd but in beliefs and teachings as Kakashi. (see my theory in the open chat area of Naruto Manga forum).
So Tsunade will either die in a self-sacrifice as an ultimate healer or cripple her capabilities by healing someone to the point she can no longer function as Hokage. Either way she will be using what's left of her life force in a last act of Hokage.
It's either going to be Kakashi
OR
Naruto
OR
Hinata
OR
Pass what's left of her strength (legacy) to her pupil...Sakura.
And though Kishi did block our full view to where exactly Pain did stab her... we do know that He looked down THEN looked up and made eye contact THEN Naruto yelling no because he knew what Pain was going to do with that black receiver sword and THEN he does stab her THEN said that his parents were killed in the same way. And while we note the silence we see Naruto's face in utter disbelief at what Pain did.
And finally we see how Pain is egging Naruto's anger on in his comment to him. "That's it...But my pain is greater than yours"
It's obvious that Pain is trying to make Naruto lose control and go full nine tails. So he may have indeed killed Hinata to trigger hatred out of Naruto.
Does anyone think Sakura will use a bit of her life force like Chiyo in healing someone or do you think she is not that far advanced in medical jutsu?

Ohh! new prediction! (a bit far fetched, but oh well.)
After completely annihilating god pain; Naruto runs to Hinata and notices she's still barely alive, she says something romantic/sad, naruto kisses her and inadvertently transfers some of the kyuubi's chakra into Hinata. Giving her temporary healing powers like that of Naruto.

Yeah that's sad but you have to look at the bright side, the Hyuga is still alive. Unlike the Uchiha who's power is left without anyone looking after is now a dead clan. The Hyuga power and the Uchiha power is like guns and weapons, they need to be looked after. It only takes a physco, ex: Madara, to destroy it. It's odd.

Hello all, I am a new member, but i have not misssed an episode or a manga chapter in years I have also read this entire thread...i have a few things to say on my first post about what has happened and what is to be, I apologize upfront for the lentgh:
1) I hope Hinata is not dead because I have been waiting since the first chuunin exams for her to tell Naruto how she feels. I am pretty sure she was stabbed by Pein, but if you look on page 13 right before pein stabs her, his eye makes that glaring sound effect at Naruto which could have been a genjutsu of him killing hinata so he could coax Naruto into going beserk.
2) He could not have stabbed Ma becuz pain used Shinra Tensei to repel her the opposite way of where Hinata was if you look at page 7.
3) Speaking of page 7 who is the other figure with Pein and Naruto that appears to be wearing an akatsuki robe in the top right panel.
4) How much chakra exactly does Pein have!!! Konan said he was overdoing it by using the Shinra Tensei to destroy Konoha in 429 and then he fought Naruto with the ^ bodies up until the last one remains, which still has enough chakra to Counter Naruto and throw a Shinra Tensei at hinata, Ma, and now take on a 6-tail Kyuubi. C'mon Kishi, at least give the gy some limits.
5) Hinata is a Main family Hyuuga, there should be a Clan full of Branch Family Hyuugas (which I beleive outnumber the Main Family) who are not protecting Hiashi and Hanabi (whom the "Ko..." guy said were away) jumping in at that point. I mean they all have the Byakugan so once Hinata jumped in and started talking they should have stepped in to sacrifice themselves.
6) I would not be surprised if Tsunade gives her life for hinata using Chiyo;s techinque because Hinata is the FIRST person to ever say they LOVE naruto. Tsunade would understand that he needs a person like that in his life in order to be truly happy. Kishi could not, would not, and should kill that character off in one chapter without plans of bringingthem back in the future.
7) If Naruto does survive this battle and doesn't become Hokage, I would love to see who becomes Hokage instead of him becuase they should have been stepped in to Kill Pein if someone like Naruto is considered weaker than them.

i think they need to leave someone with abit of age, naruto or sakura would be too early. maybe kakashi. or maybe tsunade will continue as hokage after all.

well actually if you think about Gaara is around the same age as Naruto and he is the Kazekage
