Two things in the manga contradict this. 1. We see the nail go through Kakashi with the blood. 2. Kakashi himself said using Makengyou Sharingan was going to use the last of his chakra and kill him. Why would he lie?

Using his eye technique like Sasuke did usually caused bleeding in the eye and he did say he used all his chakra. But we know that his is not dead because:
1. the slug was healing him
2. Kakashi is a very important and the coolest character. He can't die in such a lame battle. When an important character dies we see two or three or more chapters of him battling to his death but we didn't get much of a battle. For examplbe Jman and Itachi had many chapters of them in their final battle.
3. Kakashi is able to teleport
1. Tsunande told Katsuya to attack itself to every villager. Dead or alive it doesn't matter. This will be helpful for locating dead Shinobi in the rubble. She did not say "Oh, and heal the dead while you're at it."
2. Kakashi Gaiden already explained Kakashis back-story. Why rehash old news.
3. Prove it.
Let ne rephrase: Kakashi hd several pages and a few mangas of fighting Yahiko. He sacrificed his life so Choji could get vital intellenge to Tsunande. Same way Jiraya died.

The ANBU that spoke with Kakashi at the memorial after the death of the Third was Yugao Uzuki. She was the lover of Hayate Gekko who was the first examiner during the Chuunin Exams in the first arc. He overheard a conversation and learned about the planned invasion of the Sound and Sand and was killed while escaping to tell others about it.
Somebody above said that it was Anko, but if you were referring to the ANBU that kakashi spoke with while he was alone in the memorial, the one that called him sempai, that was Yugao Uzuki, planning to take revenge for the death of her lover, Hayate.

This was a good chapter cant wait to read the next one... The trick naruto pulled off against pain was awesome but it kind of reminds me of the trick he pulled off against zabuza (XD i know that u have already mentioned before me ).
I believe that kakashi isnt dead because i believe he has a bigger part to play in the story, and its not like kishi to kill of a main character without flashbacks and a proper fight before he dies. I think J-mans death had enough impact on the reader as it is.
AS for madara being able to use the body flicker, that jutsu is not a kekki genkai its a jutsu all the shinobis can learn its just a jutsu that makes the user move faster than usual (I think sasuke used it on deidara when he fought him).
U can say the the fourth perfected the jutsu and made it his own, madara might have picked it up from him or learnt it on his own. madaras body flicker was superior to the 4th's since he didnt even use handseals (the 4th uses his kunai) ... lol i dont think naruto will ever learn sharingan it would be awesome, but the sasuke wouldnt stand a chance with naruto using MS and sage mode.

But barring any pics, how will a summoner know the being to summon without the hand seals? IMHO, the hand seals are like names to distinguish the many beings that can be summoned, i.e. the sage toads, animal realm's animals, Manda, Pakkun, etc.
It's clearly seen in the anime when Kakashi summons Pakkun, he performs the hand seals. So does Naruto and Jiraiya when summoning the toads. I'm sure you haven't missed them, have you? :hypertobi:
Kakashi is on the "cusp of death". He is going through Near-Death Experience. Some people believe that when someone is experiencing NDE, you're going to see a dead love one. I guess that's what Kishi believes too.
So, IMHO, Kakashi is not yet dead. Maybe dying and very, very low on chakra. I wouldn't be surprised if Kishi decides to show Kakashi alive in the succeeding chapters.

I like that idea too.
I?d say it?s either something to counter Sasuke?s MS or a message to him like you said.
Although I?m leaning towards the countering thing.
Cause Itachi said he hoped Naruto wouldn?t have to use it, so it wouldn?t make sense to be just a message.
