your right there was know way for konoha to plan for a counter attack agansit akatsuki as naruto1217 said they did know who was in akatsuki and every member of akatsuki had some strange abilites negrto or wat ever has name is was way OP he could control 6 bodies and he had the abilite to bring them back to life then on top of that he could destory a whole village with one justu konoha had no chance agansit pain

They did have an idea because Kabuto gave them files on Akatsuki after he transplanted Orochimaru's DNA. They knew about Pein even more so from Jiraiya's fight. Granted, who the hell can plan on Pein annihilating the place with an atom jutsu.
I'm starting to think Pein blew up Konoha because Tsunade said something to him that made him think back to his orphan days, which was too painful.
Even when Naruto showed up, and that's what he spent all his time tracking and killing people in Konoha, he went after Tsunade with another body (deva Pein?).
On a separate note. I wonder if Naruto in sage mode is too fast to be fully tracked by eye techniques. The body Naruto destroyed seems to be very much a sacrificial one. My other theory is that Pein sent it to test Naruto, or put him into a bad location.

well naruto COULD learn more elements..
i mean a jounin has to know at least 2 elements, and a hokage can learn up to 5 elements..
i personally love to see how naruto can use all the elements, but for now i want him to lear water element because that's my favorite, and the way you pronounce it is just cool ^^

Well, I think that noone can learn all 5 elements. It has to be in your blood, otherwise you will only be able to copy hand seals recuired for the usage of natural element techniques. I mean you wont be able to create new techniques, but just copy the old ones.

i think with enough training a shinobi can learn any/all the elements. but they're are born being gifted in one or two. one would be hard pressed to learn all 5 in a life time though and they'd have to be an extremely gifted genius... or have a bloodline limit like pein.
kakashi just copies jutsus so i think that explains how he's able to use so many elements. we all know he was born gifted in lightning and i think his other born element is water. he copies everything else. hell, after completing chidori kakashi stopped working on new jutsus because he could just copy anything he wanted. although rassengan he had to train for because there are no hand signs for that. and kakashi is a genius. :kakashi:

Well from reading, I found out that Kakashi only has lighting and water elements. I saw him use Fire in the anime but people said that the animators messed up and that Kakashi using a Fire element has never been showed. I also saw Kakashi use Earth, when he does that burial jutsu where he goes underneath the ground and catches people from there feet and pulls them into the ground all the way up to their necks. I heard that was an Earth element jutsu. So what elements does Kakashi really know ???

because kakashi just coppies them.he was able to use water dragon because he was standing in the water.he just coppied the hand seales and everythink happened automatically.he uses 2 elements for real:lightning and fire.he wont be able to perform a water teqnique away from water cause he is not able to turn his chakra into water.its simple

hell no!!!!!!! no katon(fire). YET!!!!!! show me any refernce in manga, only then i will acknowledge it. i wont count anime, those are made up by animators, not kishi. did u forgot kakashi uses doton(earth) all the time?(latest was against pain) so far he uses : lightning, earth, water.
ppl have affinity for only one element(remember the chakra paper test, it tests ppl's chakra affinity and it gives only one result out of 5 for every person), then they pick up more elements as their skill grows. but other elemental jutsu wont have the same level as the one with affinity. that is kakashi's doton or suiton jutsu wont have the same level what his lightning jutsu has.
abt water, kakashi spit water during kakuzu fight when their was no water around. bcos it was not a higher level jutsu i suppose. but true, any other higher level jutsu like water dragon, he wont be able to do without water around.
not true.....he uses the hidden mist jutsu against zabuza as well as itachi(away from water).from what i've seen he just copies the rest
i was always under the impression he only has an affinity for lightning,although he has used water a lot.........on a side note i can't remember him ever using wind!? mercy u got a link where he uses it?
