Couple of things (trying to keep it short).
1.) Yeah, like I said earlier, Tsunade is the shiznit because the Hokage protects the village, and that doesn't mandate fighting. Imagine how much worse Konoha would've been if the top shinobi and their clans got wiped out in that blast. Kakashi I presume is alive since they weren't sure, and why would the slug keep attachment to a corpse. For all of Tsunade's strength and ability, Sakura (she is whiny) is supposed to surpass her. The thing is that Tsunade stores all that chakra behind her forehead for such occassions, and I don't think Sakura knows how to do it, or how to summon Kitsui (slug demon).
2.) I believe Naruto may be immune to genjutsu right now. If his opponent controls the chakra flow to his head, he's caught in a genjutsu. However, his opponent is not a sage so he/she is not controlling the nature chakra. While this argument may seem false because of the Kyuubi, Naruto's chakra suppressed the Kyuubi chakra, while now nature and inner chakra are mixing. If we assume further that Naruto is able to draw in nature chakra while moving, it's even less likely that the opponent can pull off genjutsu. He's essentially using nature chakra as an allies chakra to infuse if he gets caught.
3.) Naruto may also know a fire technique, independent of that prediction. Toads use oil and fire all the time. Naruto learned sage techniques (i.e. jutsu), which I think he can only use in sage mode. So, I don't think it translates to him being able to use fire outside of sage mode until I've seen it.
4.) No one's going to come to the village until Pein and Naruto finish. The cloud ninja aren't going to do squat, and Sasuke wouldn't know what to do either. The spotlight is on Naruto and Pein now, let it play out.
