So many huge walls of text and I have yet to see a actual feat of Naruto breaking a high level genjutsu.Hype is irrelevant for me and so is whether Kurama was there or not.I look at the entire series as a Whole and the conclusion is Naruto is probably average to below average at genjutsu.
It honestly doesn't matter. Manga already stated that Perfect Jins are essentially immune (not in the typical sense since they still have to be broken out, but it doesn't take long at all) to all forms of Genjutsu barring IT. Killer Bee is one example of it, and Naruto has the smartest (by pure intellectual feats alone) and strongest Bijuu in the manga, on top of the different chakras of the Bijuu within him that is all sentient. There's no reason that any Genjutsu is affecting him for more than mere milliseconds in real time, since something with Kurama's relative intelligence will notice a discrepancy in the chakra of him and Naruto. It's your choice to believe or deny what the manga has shown.
