Obito wasnt affected because BZ is Kaguya herself. He has special powers without having Dojutsu or explain how he read uchiha tablet without Rinnegan and sharingan and altered it. Zetsu merged into Obito controlling him. You dont see obito talking when bz merged with him. Madara chose not to use on edo because cannot be converted into living slaves.
