A genius is the person who would have the most success with the least amount of effort, and also has the potential to have the most success with great effort. This explains someone like Shikamaru, who was bored in school because it was so tedious and easy to understand. With things like Naruto it is different because of KKG and Bijuu, so Naruto doesn't really need to be a genius to succeed because of his extreme chakra level. However, he would not be top 10 without the jutsu he created on his own

Naruto is a battle and people genius. But he needs to have concepts taught to him in special ways or he can't understand them. Although he quickly grasps these concepts in the over simplified way and quickly masters them. Example sage mode.

People think he is an idiot because he need to be taught in an elementary way even though this isn't the case because he understands the underlying concept more quickly than others. In my opinion that makes him a true genius.

U forgot Orochimaru,
and aside from Itachi, Deidara and Danzo, how many enemies had sasuke had..
the only one Sasuke could not figure out was Killer bee, but that was plot no jutsu, since killer bee was going to help naruto master the Kyuubi..

I wouldn't call that emo. I mean, he had a massive psych shock. He lived his life for one purpose, only to find out that he killed the man that cared for him the most.

Because he's an idiot and he behaves immaturely. He has attained a great conceptual grasp of ninjutsu though, and seems to have that innovation gene, so he has used it to create various techniques. As far as learning things, he learned nothing in the manner that a genius would. He just worked harder than anyone, and then, when faced with a life or death situation, combined adrenaline/determination with plot protection to suddenly succeed with the technique that he supposedly had failed to master....
I would call his brand of genius the determined visionary

I agree, that's what I'm saying. He learns things in a different, unusual way than a "genius", but that in itself I think is talent.
