Chapter Nine: False Death
Foot steps and yells awoke versuvio the next morning as he crawled out of bed and peaked outside to see what was happening, a large crowd seemed to have gathered in the court yard for what appeared to be a battle of sorts. Barely able to stop him self from tripping as he rushed to get ready and see what was going on versuvio made his way out of his room and quickly down the stairs dashing through the halls still putting his Admin clothes on.
?Move it, I?m a Admin, get the hell outta my way? versuvio yelled as he was forcing himself through the group of people who had all seemed to gather to see what was happening in the middle of the court yard.
versuvio finally made his way to the front among all the people and a look of shock and confusion appeared on his face. Zonder and Sir Domi were standing opposite end of each other dead center in the court yard, everyone was sure to give them space even though the court yard was very large, only a pathway and a few statues graced its green landscape.
?Last chance Zonder, stand down or I will hurt you? Domi said shortly.
?No, I am challenging you for your position as S admin Soldier, you either fight or concede, you know the rules Sir Domi.? Zonder said firmly.
?Oh I see they are going to fight for the S admin slot? .. ?wow this is going to be good?.. ?kick his ass ZONDER!? .. ?put that young boy in his place DOMI!? .. ?get?em!?
Many people were screaming out, comment after comment to show there support, something like this had not happened in years and the castles occupants were more then ready to see it between these two such well known warriors. Versuvio could not believe this fight was about to take place, it had been so sudden and without warning, what had caused this?
?Very well then? Domi said as he opened his arms. ?Come at me?
In an explosion of movement Zonder drew his sword and dove forward right at Domi, heaving his massive sword in a wide like arc he struck. Domi didn't even seem to move as he took out his sword and smoothly caught the blade and tossed it aside like a feather.
?Is that really all you have?? Domi said with a grin on his face
With a grunt Zonder stumbled forwards and sent a massive stab at Domi?s unprotected leg, Domi jumped into the air to avoid the strike but then Zonder hurled his massive blade straight up at him slicing his right arm.
?Damn it? Domi said as landed back on the ground gripping his arm. ?Lucky strike?
?No luck, just skill and there is a lot more where that came from? Zonder said confidently as he ran to attack Domi yet again, he strongly swung his blade repeatedly at Domi with lighting speed trying to connect but Domi simply dodged in turn.
?Too slow? Domi said as he popped up onZonder?s exposed left side as he missed yet another swing. Domi punched the side of his mid body with his free hand and spun around striking him in the head with the hilt of his sword forcing Zonder to stumble.
Versuvio was still looking on in shock, he wanted to interfere but such a thing was forbidden in a battle like this one. ?*If this keeps up one of them really is going to die, where are the S Admins or other mod at, they could talk some sense into these two I am sure of it*? Versuvio thought to himself as he was at a loss for a solution.
Zonder stood up and glared down Domi. ?No more games, my next move will end this? Zonder said, he gripped his blade tightly with both hands and called: ?Crack the ground and strike him down Tenserrie?
Zonder swung his sword straight at Domi and an explosion of energy in a straight line headed right for him, surprised but still ever so confident in himself Domi crossed his arms with his blade in front and took the hit head on, however the force was too great and he was knocked back as the energy from Zonder?s attack over took him flinging him hard into a statue behind him.
The crowd let out loud cheers and screams as some of them had decided to run away in fear of there life, the dust had hardly settled before Zonder ran straight down the path carved by his own attack and jumped into the air trying to pin point where Domi had landed. He saw Domi lying in the ruble of the statue and went down straight towards him, Blade above his head ready to end the fight.
?It?s over Domi? Zonder screamed as he came closer.
?Hardly? Domi held up his sword to Zonder surprise and called: Freeze all who oppose me, Arnatina. An ice cold wind blew up at Zonder from the spot Domi was laying forcing him to lose control in the air, Domi leaped up suddenly and plunged his sword straight into Zonder?s stomach and watched his whole body be swallowed by ice. Domi pulled his blade back as the frozen Zonder fell to the ground and shattered.
The on lookers were in shock, no one spoke, no one blinked, no one could believe what had just happened, none were more shocked then versuvio.
?No.. not Zon.. it?s just.. no? versuvio could barely get the words out.
?Let that be a lesson to anyone who thinks they can fight me, save your life or end up like this fool? Domi said as he put his blade away and walked back to the castle out of sight. People started to move near the broken ice blocks that were once Zonder but they simple shattered moments later into water.
Meanwhile below the court yard BIBI leaned on a brick wall in what was a hidden tunnel within the castle, a lantern hanging from the side was its only light. Seconds later a portal opened up next to him and out fell a wet and slightly still frozen Zaganite.
?Ah I see it worked, well played Zon? BIBI said smiling
?I.. I felt like I died just now BIBI, what the hell was that anyway, you said you?d teleport me here before anything actually happened? Zonder said as he forced himself up and put his sword back on his back.
?Can?t teleport you without contact that?s why Domi had to strike you with the sword, once I felt that I teleported you here and left and illusion in your place? BIBI said as she held up a string tied to her finger. ?This string is a spirit string that I attached it to Domi?s sword so I would know when he used his ice ability and stabbed you, it was a signal for the teleporting.?
Zonder looked down at his stomach ?I know he stabbed me, I felt it but why his there no wound or pain now?
?Eh, must you question everything, I had the situation planned and handled from the start, so relax. We have a lot more important issues to tend to now. I arranged for those people to be in the court yard as proof you died, I put a barrier up so only the less spirit gifted people could sense that particular fight and I put a spell on Domi?s sword that would heal you as soon as he removed the blade, its called hacks, I am a fu**ing S Admin you know? Although BIBI seemed angry as he explained everything that cheerful grin never left his face.
?Now if that?s everything may we move on?? BIBI asked
Zonder nodded slowly and followed BIBI down the hall as he moved.
?So now where are we going?? Zonder asked carefully still shivering from Domi?s attack.
?Well since the plan worked and people now think you are dead we are going to meet your escorts through the South lands for your mission Zonder. Now, now you didn?t think I?d have you go alone now did you? BIBI grinned back at him as they continued forward.
