Narutobase doesn't translate, the already translated manga pages are hosted here.
The last couple of chapters have been from mangareader, but the previous were taken from ***********. You can easily tell by the watermarks.

I think it used to depend on which site released it first and had the better translation.
But that was before VIZ media's shenanigans.

Now we're stuck with mangareader I guess, until a better provider comes around. :shrug:

Well, it caused a pretty big uproar a couple of weeks ago.
Entire Narutobase was hyperventilating because of VIZ having *********** delete Naruto, Bleach and One Piece.

But there's still mangareader, mangazone and a couple of other sites that translate and release the manga. So nothing to worry about. <3

As hard as learning any other language, I guess. :shrug:
Believe it or not, the Japanese version of the manga is a lot harder to find online, nearly impossible.
Mostly because they don't need it over there, it's released every week in Shounen Jump.
Some good willed Japanese people post the original Japanese script online, that's how I get to read it around the time the English version comes out. Not in manga form.

Thanks. That was useful. I had a feeling that that's how the Danzou line was meant to be read, but not knowing Japanese I was just relying on intuition and context of past and present issues. I wonder why Kabuto is trickier to translate than the others, as he seems to have the worst mistakes.

My friend who's actually from China (recently came to US for his PhD in Physics 6 years back) recently took 4 semesters of Japanese and still can't translate these raw manga scripts and needs subtitles for the anime, lol. Thus, I wonder how you've acquired the unique vocabulary. I don't think Naruto is on the syllabus and it wasn't in any of the books' chapters, lol. :shrug:

Yeah 4 semesters of Japanese will get you no were near what it takes to read a manga, it takes you to like JLPT 5 in Japanese and you need to be somewhere between level 2-3 to read them. Big difference in amount of words, grammar and kanji your expected to learn between those levels.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't "マダラよ り 強 かった初代火影" translate to "The first hokage who was stronger than Madara." You've written the opposite. Which wouldn't imply that Madara is able to control the cells better (though I don't doubt this), but only that he has given Madara greater powers than his own?
