Nagato was never defeated legit

But he was an Edo. It's manga fact that and Edo Rinnegan is fake and hence not even close to it's full powers.


That was why Kabuto was scared of Obito because of the Rinnegan

Kabuto had Edo Madara, two Rinnegan. Yet he was scared of Obito's one Rinnegan. That is because Edo Rinnegan are fake and much weaker than the real thing.

Heck, he gave in to Obito because he wasn't even confident that his entire Edo Army would be a match for Obito's real Rinnegan.

He didn't want to cling to his life so he gave in.


Prime Nagato was much stronger than Edo Nagato.


No way Itachi could have sealed him if he was faced with a real Rinnegan.
