Try think about brain. like as Shiukinara beat hidan.. hidan power is much better than him but he beat hidan cos of his brain skill.. that gone for itachi. itachi tsukuyomi broke out by sasuke that is itachi let him.. if he serious i believe sasuke can't broke out. u need look at personal, skill, strength, brain etc.. not just power or high charka.. yes nagato stated he is strongest cos he is leadrer and itachi kept on eyes mean itachi don't show his power much. for start i thought itachi is weak but later on i was wrong. don't forget itachi have izamgi.. my view nagato just have great powers psyhical that all. sorry my english is not good haha.

Itachi is powerful but the gap in power is too much to make up with mere intelligence. That being said, it isn't impossible, as situational factors are very important so on Itachi's day it is very possible
If Itachi is fighting Nagato 1 Vs 1 than Nagato wins with Mid-high difficulty. On the other hands against the 6pop, Pein wins with only mid difficulty because of linked vision and the fact that Itachi is much better at 1 Vs 1 than at mobbing.
They're pretty much equal. Nagato uses Chibaku Tensei as a Trump Card, so people should stop saying ''Itachi has no chance against CT'', because Nagato may not be even able to use it. Also, Nagato hasn't shown any Genjutsu skills while Itachi is the best genjutsu user and that's big advantage for Itachi.

He was completely controlled by the Edo Tensei and was on Auto mode.
He was basically a fighting dummy with no sense at all. Of course you can outsmart someone who isn't conscious.
Nagato would kill all three of those Ninja at the same time if he was actually alive and on Manual. Do not say Naruto is the strongest, or Itachi can outsmart him. Nagato would own all of them. He could've OHKO'd Killer Bee and Naruto if he wanted to, and of course, he would've beaten Itachi too. You can't say Itachi is superior to Nagato. Nagato was the strongest Ninja alive at his time. He could just fly around the Ninja world, blowing up villages if he had the heart.

Equal my ass. Do not compare Itachi to the strongest member of the Akatsuki. Of course, since he's dead, Tobi is the strongest now.
I also don't wanna hear the Chibaku Tensei>Itachi BS, unless you add another one of Nagato's techniques to back it up. You guys say that in every Nagato vs. thread. He could just rip his soul out, or just kill him. I can imagine Itachi winning in the fight and Nagato getting up and beating his ass. Nagato's stronger and that's just that. If you're going to say Equal, you're giving Itachi too much credit.
