Hanzou had body flicker that's how he escaped. Tsunades punches were strong enough to break a skeleton susanoo, i'm confident the weight of that mini moon would be enough to destroy it even in full form. If it doesn't how long do you think Itachi can hold susnaoo before he gets crushed?
Body flicker, another name for it: Fast movement. And if you don't remember, Itachi is incredibly fast.

U_U Hey, fanboy... only Kurama has been able to escape from Chibaku Tensei... and Kurama > Itachi's Susano'o. And Itachi's Susano'o didn't tank Kirin, it was his Yata Mirror who deflected it.
I would like point out it takes nagato time to actually connect to his gedo and even brings him a lot of pain. itachi can easily use that opportunity to stab him with the totsuka sword. gedo mazo is not that beneficial to nagato its the cause of his sickly state.
