seriously buddy they are a Tenketsu, the literal translation refers to pressure points, which has always been a popular form relating to martial arts.
It is why Gai used his thumb to strike down and activate the final.
Im fairly certain that if you were to check the wiki on both Tenketsu and Eight Gates you would see the same thing, [using my mobile so can't be bothered]

Tenketsu 点穴 refers to the 361 chakra exit points-according to the databook.
Hachimon 八門, "eight gates" specific hubs that control the flow of chakra. The release of all Hachimon is called "Hachimon Tonkō no Jin".

Agreed, death of a Hachimon no Tonko user is inevitable as by hype...
Death comes by the physical side-effects as well the total loss of chakra from the body...
Naruto only restored some chakra because that's the quicker reason for death while Gai's body is still completely dismantled and he might not get out of it...

Without a legitimate source these statement is irrelevant.
Not even the databook declares Hachimon= Tenketsu. So I would like to know a source.

I agree with you and I think Naruto utilized ninshuu and the yang chakra he gained from So6P to temporarily revive Gai so that he could say he final goodbyes.

However the yang chakra can only bring life to a form. Naruto would need to possess enough yin chakra to fully rejuvenate Gai by shaping him to his original form. So as it stands currently, Gai will most likely die due to his bodily conditions unless we find out Naruto can use in'youton (yin and yang chakra) next chapter or Sasuke (who probably has yin chakra) makes it in time but he's pretty far off from where Gai is so this is unlikely. The reason he could channel this chakra into Gai's is because, as OP pointed out, he can connect his chakra to other people which is ninshuu. Ninshuu is the act of connecting people's chakra which originated from the So6P himself which is what Naruto seems to have been doing to the alliance.

I think, You have a wrong understanding of Yō and shoudn't take Obitos explanation of Banbutsu Sōzō as the only example for Yōton-Jutsu.
Even Chojis Hiden have to do with Yōton.

Denial is going to kill. Moreover, bad reading on top of denial is going to ruin this manga for all of us. Here, I will prove that Naruto healed Guy, and I mean it for all the people who want to hear facts from the manga. Before I do that, to all the butthurts, take this:
Now, I cool, and here is my argument:
(1) Hashirama Senju was who he was because he had Ashura's chakra: (a) He could heal himself without thinking about, (2) His cells could bring Obito's broken ribs, arms, head, etc, (c) having a piece of his meat can boost one's Sharingan to give them EMS durability. Basically, on the black market, one would have to give his own wife before getting a piece of Hashirama.
(2) Naruto has the source of the power that Hashirama had. Not only he has the source, but he is Uzumaki, a clan that have shown to be stronger than all other Senju beside Hashirama. In fact:
(1) Naruto's KM chakra was acting on Mokuton. Back then, we argued that the effect on Mokuton did not come from Kyuubi, but from Naruto himself because Kyuubi cannot grow Mokuton when actually his chakra was always eaten by Yamato's mokuton without doing anything. If Kyuubi's chakra alone could give the effect observed, Hashirama would not be able to approach Kyuubi because he would be transformed into a forest.
(2) Fact is that Ashura inherited half of Rikudo, his yang or life force. If you know who Hagormo is, it pretty much means Ashura was immortal as long as you don't obliterate his body. This was demonstrate by the fact that Obito can regenerate an arm or whatever using Hashirama's cell. Tsunade even said that if Madara had Hashirama's cell, then he is immortal - and Obito has confirmed it.
(3) From the above, all the folks should admit that currently, Naruto is immortal and his chakra can revive anyone even their bones. Looking back at Gaara's revival, one can see that Naruto's life force was used by Chyo, and this is why Naruto entered Gaara's consciousness to look for him. Most readers disregards these symbolic illustration that are meant to say it is Naruto who was bringing Gaara back because all there was to the Jutsus was to transfer life force.
This being said, Guy's skin and bones will be regenerated just as Obito's arms could regenerate using Hashirama (Ashura (Naruto))'s chakra. Folks need to understand this fact and admit it. From now on, people should know Naruto has the same essence as Hashirama Senju on top of his Minato and Kushina's genetics.
Finally, if we put all fanboyism and rivality apart, it is easy to see that Kaguya had two children, and one of them had the potential to become (and became) the Rikudo Sennin. It is also reasonable to see that Rikudo's children are the same. Even if Rikudo thought his choice caused the conflict, it is obvious that Ashura has proven to be stronger than Indra. This can be seen in fight such as Hashirama vs Madara or Naruto vs Sasuke. While people thing they are equally matched, it is obvious to see they are not. In a fight where one is trying to stop destruction while the other is maximizing his firepower to destroy, the least we can say is that the fight is not fair.
Thus, dying along with their brother is a choice made by the Ashura's to keep the balance. Soon or later, Naruto will prove much more mysterious than Sasuke just as Madara could not comprehend why Hashirama was much stronger than him. Maybe, Sasuke will also still a piece of Naruto, who knows.
Shame on you for claiming you read the manga when actually you merely looking at Kishi's art. Yes, you are not reading the manga at all.

This is so true and weird that Naruto kicked the ball without having a scratch. Knowing that this ball could destroy an edo tensei, one can measure the implication of the power of naruto. Basically, if there is something call death, then Naruto can destroy that thing because he is life.

I used Creation Of All Things as an example because it belongs to So6P and since Naruto and Sasuke got a powerup from So6P it is possible that they acquired So6P's Yin-Yang Release abilties. Sorry I should've explained it better. ^^''

I thought that was obvious.
Naruto is now a Yang master , he now has access to Yang power , he can breathe "life" into forms.
It may be the result of having the all 9 Yang beasts and Yang perfect senjutsu at the same time.

No, Gai won't die since Naruto told the sage that he is going to protect his friends then after hearing this the sage decides to give him a power up so it's evident that whatever power up he received would allow him to save his friends. Too bad though, Gai's death would have been awesome and sad that would give the manga some thrill, and if Naruto can really heal people now then that's disappointing since healing should have been Sakura's role within team 7

it was yang based when he had yang kurama in him. now he has yin kurama in him. that might make a difference, just my thoughts on it.

maybe be so6p gave naruto and sasuke some form of creation all things jutsu. it can give form to nothing and breath life into things, like when he created tailed beast. just a possibility
