Coming from here

Recover a Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard from the Moon Isle (188), site of a gigantic violet crystal emerging from the earth (C-Rank Mission).

Arriving on the island on his ink bird in style, Ryuu stayed atop the creation in order to get a birds eye view of the island. Of course, his Byakugan allowed him to see the whole island and even further, but it was always pleasant and relaxing to be able to gaze down from above. Plus, it gave him a different perspective too. Surveying the land beneath him, the young Hyūga noticed the hustle and bustle at the port and leading into the city. He was quite comfortable up here, without any worry of being jostled around in a stinky crowd. He was also pleasantly surprised to find that this part of the world had not been affected by the cataclysm as the rest of the lands had, instead looking as beautiful as the rest of the world had once looked, and he wondered why. Was it linked to these crystals he had heard about? There were so many strange occurrences these days that baffled his young mind, what with the rifts, a strange voice in his mind asking for help, and now these crystals.

Speaking of which, he moved his gaze around to look for them, and quite quickly, he managed to spot the unusual growths from the ground. Purple in colour, they ranged in size from small to large, and he noticed one cluster that was very big and had a few people around it, seemingly inspecting this strange phenomenon. Making his way over slowly in the air, Ryuu avoided all the crowds to come to the largest crystal, circling it for a few moments and inspecting it before touching the ground. The bird flew back up into the air, staying close by and patiently waited for Ryuu to do what he needed to do.

There were a few people here and there, some inspecting the crystal, and some seeming to take notes of some kind. Of course this would be drawing attention from all over the world, tourists and scientists alike. Ryuu wondered if he stood out too much here, what with his ninja attire and doujutsu. He focused on the crystal now though, noticing that it didn't have any chakra in it. That meant it wasn't a technique that someone had used. What was it though? How could pure crystal just grow out of the ground with no explanation? And that fast too. A little hesitantly, the curious boy went right up to the crystal, reaching a finger out. Making up his mind, he very quickly moved his finger forward and then straight back, giving the shiny crystal a poke. When he realised that nothing happened to him, he gave it a few more pokes, each one getting slightly longer in duration as well as exposing more than just one finger, so that by the time he was sure it was safe, he kept a whole hand on it. To an onlooker, it may have looked a little absurd, a bit like when someone touches something hot to make sure it doesn't burn them, except the crystal wasn't hot at all.

Running his hand along the surface now, Ryuu felt the smooth, cool crystal beneath it, which felt very satisfying. He could see parts that looked jagged at the tips, and some parts like they had been broken off by others, and then remembered he was here to do the same. Knocking on the crystal, he felt that it was very hard and sounded dense, so it may be difficult to break a piece off. Grabbing a kunai from his pouch, the young ninja struck the spot in front of him a few times, but no suitable sized shards came off. At most, only tiny particles that resembled shavings shed off from it. This was tougher to break, but he had expected as much. He was going to need something stronger.

Relying on his natural aptitude for close combat, Ryuu took a couple of steps back, before charging his right leg with earth chakra. Upon doing so, he then delivered a powerful kick to the section of the crystal in front of him. A large crack appeared in it then, but nothing broke off straight away, so Ryuu thought it wasn't going to break off. However, he waited, as the crack started to make some sounds, before a large chunk about the size of a rasengan fell off and landed on his feet. Ouch, it was heavy! He definitely wasn't going to carry something of that size around, so he would need to reduce its size significantly.

Thinking about how he could carefully break it into smaller pieces, Ryuu picked it up and turned it around in his hands, looking for any faults in it. Finally, he found something; a small crack which traveled into the deeper parts of the crystal ball, running in a zigzag line. Grabbing a stick from the floor laying near him, the boy fit one end of it into the fissure, before grabbing his kunai again. Turning it upside down, he started banging the hilt of the kunai onto the stick, causing it to go deeper into the crack. At first, the top of the stick would keep breaking, and he had to pause continuously, but finally, the now shortened stick did its job. With a crack sound, the stick fell to the ground as the ball shattered into smaller pieces, some larger than the others. There were a few suitable sized shards that he found amongst them, and he decided to pocket three of them, all about the size of a small finger. He felt it was better to have more as backups just in case something happened to one of them. The rest of the pieces lay scattered on the ground in a messy fashion, so Ryuu tidied up behind him by gathering them and placing them all at the foot of the giant crystal that he had taken them from.

Satisfied, he thought he should go somewhere else now to investigate his findings thoroughly and see if he could get the shard to do anything. Motioning for his bird to come back down, he climbed atop it and took to the skies again.

Arriving from Here.

This message marks the beginning of my mission utilizing the following storyboard element:
  • Recover a Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard from the Moon Isle (188), site of a gigantic violet crystal emerging from the earth.
Rank: C-rank
Description: After having coasted through the Kanashii Ocean, Zhongli had finally reached his destination. Once upon the Moon Isle, he had become acutely aware of the true mystery that awaited him.

At long last, the ship in which Zhongli was aboard had finally begun to find its way nearer to the coast of the Moon Isle. It was here that he had heard of the various mysterious that had begun to pop up left and right, which was most certainly drawing the attention of many far and wide. With luck, in his pursuit of this same mystery, he hoped he might find his way back into the fold of the world, and perhaps even rejoin the company of any who might have known him before he had submerged himself within the Throne those handful of years ago.
Standing at the edge of the ship's forward nose, Zhongli looked out upon the nearing shoreline, only for the Captain of the vessel to approach him for a final conversation. "Ya may not know this yet, so I may as well tell ya. There is word of a madness swelling in the West. Folks are saying that the maw of Hell itself has spawned and is raising quite the ruckus. Apparently, most folks that come to this island are finding their way there with pieces of the Crystal from this island; Gods only know why, though. So I reckon that'll be your path, too. In which case, may's well say farewell now, and best of luck to ya, Wanderer." Zhongli listened with careful attentiveness as the man took it upon himself to keep the Listener informed. So people were plucking these mysterious crystals from their roots and taking them elsewhere after the fact; a curious discovery, yet one that warranted investigation. There was certainly something afoot in the world at large since he had last arrived, and this was now but one of many that he would have to contest with in his travels to come. With a bow of his head, Zhongli turned his attention to the nearing shoreline before leaping off of the ship. Concentrating chakra into his feet as if second nature, he would land upon the surface of the water with a stiffness that mimicked solid ground before taking off across it, closing the remaining gap on foot to reach the Island.
Upon arriving to the shore, Zhongli had steadied his pace, now taking his time to explore the scenery that he was now exposed to. In truth, he wasn't exactly too sure what he was bound to find. What was it that he was even looking for, exactly? The woman from Degarashan had told him they were crystal-like minerals that were forming all over the Island, but would that be easy to spot with the naked eye? Yet as though on cue, Zhongli found himself steadily working over the crest of a hill, only to be matched with an awe inspiring sight.. Not far in the distance was that of an immense violet crystal, springing forth from the earth like that of an obelisk. It's size was impressive, to say the least, it's form casting a shadow over the nearby vicinity and acting as now a monolith to what the unknowing could only describe as nature's beautiful potential.
As he approached nearer, Zhongli had begun to take notice of a strange correlation. While this mass of Crystal was hulking over the land right in the midst of a preexisting ecosystem, so few of the wild life seemed to take interest in it. Birds would actively avoid it in their flight path, animals on foot kept their distance, instead scooping around it in a wide berth, like that of flowing water parting against a bolder in a river. It did not seem as though they necessarily feared its presence, but rather, as though they simply "knew better" than to approach it.. Yet contrary to what most would take as a natural warning of places not to be themselves, Zhongli continued his approach until he stood just beneath its base. There, he carefully inspected the size of the Crystal, as well as its overall structure. In his investigation, he began to see signs of disruption to the nearby area, as well that of the Crystal's base itself. Various scars were left upon the Earth that suggested Ninjutsu of various types had been used here in a chain of stages, as though one person after another had taken small chunks out of the Crystal, where splintered shards throughout it's form could be seen missing. "So, the Captain was correct in his hearsay. I imagine I should follow the same process, then. Clearly those before me knew something I did not.."
With a goal in mind after finishing his examination of the site, Zhongli had began to ready his earthen chakra. While he was still curious about this monolithic creation and had no desire to damage what he did not understand, he needed to see this through so that he might learn more. With resolve in his expression, Zhongli opted to start small.. With luck, he might be able to break loose parts of the Crystal in a way that was sufficient enough without risking too great of damage to it, if he were even capable of doing such harm to it. With air on the side of caution, Zhongli lifted his right arm, his palm extended forward as he focused on a singular protruding portion of the Crystal. In doing so, he quickly gathered a small amount of Earthen Chakra into his palm, in which resulted in the manifestation of several rocks that began to rotate slowly in a circular fashion. With one mental command, each rock began to dart toward the Crystal one after the other, colliding against it. While their size was negligible, the speed at which they were hurled would ordinarily punch small holes through even dense tree trunks, so if this Crystal was at all of similar resistance, this would surely be sufficient.

Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20 (+15/AP) = 35
Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.

After having used the technique, each stone collided against the Crystal and practically exploded into dust-like shrapnel, leaving behind a small plume of dust that required a patient moment to clear before Zhongli was witness to no change at all. The Crystal hadn't even so much as a scratch or dent in its structure to even suggest he had done anything at all a moment ago. Bringing his hand back, he instead brought it to his chin as he began to ponder the outcome. While he hadn't exactly expected much from such a weak technique, he had imagined it would at least leave a crack, or perhaps even cause small chips to flake off of it's larger body, yet nothing at all? That certainly seemed unlikely.. With a steady approach, Zhongli had extended his hand to the piece he had focused on, wherein he began by carefully plant his grip upon it. The Crystal was still quite cool to the touch, despite the friction that it was just exposed to from the collision of rocks against it. Not even so much as a spark was let off at the point of contact. Tightening his grip, Zhongli had begun to try and pry at the Crystal, if nothing else but to confirm that his previous attempt was in fact fruitless. With not so much as a wiggle or a budge, the Crystal remained firmly in place, which suggested further effort was required.
In one smooth motion, Zhongli had allowed his non-dominant foot to skid slowly backwards, his torso pivoting to face sideward while his facing remained fixed on the spot of the Crystal. Lifting his right arm, he began to channel his earthen chakra throughout it once more, distributing it in a steadying fashion that quickly began to darken his skin. In doing so, his flesh began to harden as the tone itself changed, resulting in a steel-like reinforcement of his appendage, from the tips of his fingers to his shoulder. In doing so, he quickly lifted his arm to his side as he held his palm forwards before rapidly plunging his now densely solidified weapon of an arm into that of the base of the Crystal protrusion he was after, aiming to shatter it loose from its base, breaking it free for him.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A (+40 to physical attacks)
Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 30 (+40/EST) = 70
Description: The user strikes the opponent with a forwarding palm thrust.

As soon as Zhongli withdrew his palm, he saw that the Crystal was still very much in place, yet contrary to his first attempt, the crystal was now at least cracked at its base where he had focused his strike; a promising revelation that suggested he had only the need to do so one final time. Yet to ensure the efficacy of his next strike, Zhongli reinforced his arm even further with the steel-like hardening of his skin by producing a dense layer of solid stone around his arm now as well. This acted as a further modifier to his overall destructive capabilities with his strikes; trading power for speed. With this in mind, he opted to perform more of the exact same as he did before with the newly added weight to his strike, now bringing his palm down upon the exact same bottle-neck point of the protruding crystal chunk as he had done before.
Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-10 per turn to remain active)
Damage points: N/A (+10 to taijutsu moves)
Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B-rank Ninjutsu techniques, but is vulnerable to Raiton.

The sheer weight of his attack carried with it an immense rattling to the ground around him, causing a rush of air to pulse outward around his standing position as it shook the full structure of the Crystal, yet never truly causing any real damage to it on a larger scale. Yet as he moved his palm away, the chunk of Crystal in which he was after had steadily broken loose from the fuller structure, falling away from it and clicking down to the ground, rolling to Zhongli's feet. With a soft sigh of relief that his prior attempt finally did what he had need of it for, he allowed for his earthen chakra within his arm to disperse; the stone formations surrounding his arm falling away like a crust, and the coloration of his arm reverting to its ordinary state in a fading wash-like effect from his fingertips up to his shoulder. Finally, he bent down and picked up the chunk of Crystal, eyeing it with careful examination to see if anything truly different had changed about it since it was removed, yet nothing obvious stood out.
For now, this would have to be enough. Turning his gaze back toward the beach he had just come from, he realized that the Captain of the ship he had come from no doubt returned home after having issued his farewells to the Listener. In lieu of a traditional means of return to the mainland, Zhongli opted to submerge the crystal chunk in that of his Prana, sending it to the throne for him to call upon at a later date when he was ready to examine it. With one final glance at the monolith before him, he decided it was best to return here at a later point in time to examine the entire thing in greater depth. For now, his focus was back on the mainland, where there was far more that required his attention. Steadily, just as he had appeared in Degarashan the first time, Zhongli's form had begun to be enveloped in the collection of golden wisps of Prana, all of which steadily washed over him in a rapid spinning pattern that eventually resulted in the very air surrounding him to begin taking on a static-electric sensation before with one final quick flash of light that steadily faded from sight shortly after, Zhongli was gone, having teleported to the destination he had called to his mind: Back to the marketplace of Degarashan.
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 20-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Considered the father technique of Era of Gods and Dynasty of Kings, Epoch of Titans uses the Surge of Evocation's ability to teleport objects and Surgebinders to the Throne, and return them to the field.

The Wandering Sea - Bending Space

The user, instead of applying this technique to their own body, can manifest Prana around any object or feature of the terrain to teleport it to the Throne and return it immediately or with a delayed timer. The teleported object can either reappear in a new location instantly, in the same manner as the user's own teleportation, or the user can set a delay of up to four turns and it will return on the first turn after the said number of turn elapses (e.g. a delay of 4 turns, the casting of this jutsu counting as the 1st, means it will reappear at the beginning of the user's 5th turn). The user can also create a technique or familiar with an aura of prana, which can only take affect in the same turn it is created, that allows the technique to teleport itself to a new location. This applies to virtually all type of jutsu except those which are streamed, as the user would find themselves unable to progress to this technique before the other reaches its end. This application occurs in the same timeframe as the jutsu cast and offensive jutsu teleported in this manner must reappear a minimum of five-meters away from any opponents unless the user is also within short-range of that opponent, in which it must reappear at least one meter away. The user cannot teleport any object or jutsu to or from a 1-meter distance from any opponents. However this entire variant cannot be applied to the opponent's jutsus which exceed B-Rank in chakra and it cannot be used on Noble Phantasms or Custom Weapons.

The Everlasting Heaven - Warping Time

This variant involves surging a large amount of Prana throughout the user’s body in order to enter the Throne. Their body, and everything on their person, will disappear instantly in a flash of light reflecting the color of their Prana. The user will then reappear amidst another flash of light at a location of their choosing. If the user reappears within less than a meter of the opponent, the opponent can react with any instant, passive or freeform or chakraless technique. Reappearing is accompanied by a crackling sound, creating both an audible and visual queue. The instant use of this technique, which doesn't take a slot in the timefreame, is enabled by the fact that the ethereal energy already exists within their chakra systems. Thrice per battle the user can utilize a stronger version of this ability (S-Rank) to prolong their stay in the Throne. This allows them to exist within the alternate dimension as Prana, which effectively places their body in a stasis. This halts blood loss, the propagation of poisons, the duration of active techniques/abilities, and any other aliments or conditions. This will happen for as long as the user is within the Throne. The user can only remain there for a maximum of four turns per usage. The first application, considered A-Rank, can only be used once every three turns. It can also only be used four times per battle. The second application, considered S-Rank, can only be used three per battle and operates on the same cooldown as the A-Rank version. S-Rank applications render the user unable to use S-Rank or higher Prana for the next turn, if the user remains in the Throne for longer than a turn.

Examine the Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard (C-Rank Mission).

Cruising along on the back of the bird, Ryuu sat cross-legged and took one of the shards out of his pouch and held it up in the air, trying to examine it. With the wind blowing in his hair, and a soft warmth surrounding him from the glowing sun, the boy felt at ease; the most he had felt in a long time. As he held the shard up, he noticed how the sunlight caught on it and reflected off, giving a bit of a glare. Of course it would not blind him, especially as he did not have to look directly at the brightest spot thanks to his Byakugan. He was high up in the air, so he didn't have to worry about anyone else being caught in a bright glare. Using his Byakugan, he scanned the crystal shard's surface, eventually making his way deeper into the layers by zooming in with his eyes. So pretty, but it just looks like a normal crystal... I wonder where this came from... Then, unable to resist the temptation, he popped the crystal in his mouth. There was a reason after all why babies put things in their mouth all the time. It gives a different perspective, doesn't it? Perhaps they know something older children and adults have forgotten about. So in a completely child-like fashion, the boy embraced his inner child and moved the crystal around in his mouth, even trying to bite into it as if it were some kind of candy. Ouch! Of course, as he did so, the shard cut the inside of his mouth, drawing some blood. He didn't intend to do that, but it transported his mind to a long time ago when he had found a core and had illuminated it with blood and tears. Conveniently enough, the shard was covered in blood now in his mouth, and his eyes also watered a little due to the pain. Carefully taking the bloody shard out into his hand whilst wincing, he squeezed out a teardrop onto the crystal, waiting for something to happen. When nothing happened though, he came to the conclusion that it was something different to the core. But actually, what if it needed the core to do something? Were they related?

Ryuu reached into his pouch to find his core, and panicked for a few seconds when he couldn't find it, before remembering that he had recently entrusted it to a summon. Feeling a little silly, he was grateful that there was no one this high up to witness his embarrassment. He should summon the entrusted one then. Looking from above, Ryuu scanned the ground below, and found a large sandy patch on the northern shoreline that was deserted and away from any prying eyes. Trees covered the shore from the land behind it, making it look even more deserted. Commanding his bird to make its way down there, Ryuu jumped off excitedly as they reached the ground, eager to test his theory out. Would the crystal shard react if it was placed next to the core? He wondered if the core would finally be useful for something. So far, nothing had come out of it. Ryuu bit his thumb then and wiped it on his tattoo, performed the required hand seals for the summon and slammed his hands on the ground, causing a smallish tornado of water to appear before him. As the water disappeared, the barnacle called Oregon came into view.

Type: Summon
Rank: S
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description:The User bites their thumb and wipes it on their tattoo, performing a string of three hand seals and then slamming their hands on the ground which creates a couple metre tall tornado of water with 1 metre diameter anywhere within mid-range except around the opponent - this is harmless and purely cosmetic the water disappears and reveals the summon. The Summon is basically a very large amount of ordinary sized Thoracica type barnacles clumped together to form a humanoid shape, 7 foot tall and a strong looking build. The mastermind of these Lesser Barnacles is the Boss of the Summoning Contract and he is able to command them to do his bidding, 'Oregon' the Barnacle Boss resides in the Head of the man representing the brain and in form he is a very large Barnacle that has outgrown it's shell and so is protected by the other Shells. Oregon wears a mask that looks ever so much like a demon, the mask is a hard calcite shell which is what Thoracica Barnacles are made out of; the mask has two large curved horns which a protrude from his forehead which can be used to impale an opponent - the mask is shaped into a stern face. He also has a tail which is just an extended barnacle tendril he has full control of. Oregon has a greater intelligence and is basically the one whom trained the first Barnacles passing down his knowledge. He can talk or communicate mentally to the Contract signer.

Oregon is a Taijutsu Specialist and he has the ability to perform Taijutsu of up to A-Rank and gets a +10 Damage boost because of his extremely hard body. Since his body is made up of many thoracica type barnacles which have their tendrils also spread out through the body to keep together - means he can be pretty versatile. He can pull apart his own body (except the head) to dodge oncoming attacks like punches or swords and then quickly clamp it shut again, the tendrils of the many Barnacles stretch to allow him to separate his torso or other sections so that he is not hit. When Oregon clamps shut like this, it is strong enough to snap a blade and so can crush bone pretty easily whilst at the same time Barnacles detach from inside his body and attack onto the limb of the enemy if he decides to let them free. The Barnacles that are left on the opponent's limbs can be then set up for the Barnacle Jutsu, "Body of the Thoracica". Oregon can also use this to stretch his limbs or body, making them much longer so he can punch and kick much further, or to further ensnare an opponent. He has one final use of pulling his body apart and that is to be able to completely cover his opponent with his body of barnacles and slowly crush him, this however takes about two turns to actually do some critical damage and it basically becomes the opponent's armour; if Nagashi is used on them it wouldn't be effective and would crush the opponent much faster due to the contraction caused by paralysis.

Oregon has the ability to change his body structure further by changing from a man to a four legged creature very quickly, the only reason he does this is to close distance between his opponent and can do so pretty fast. When running on all fours like this he can close the mid-range gap in seconds but it still trackable and when he goes to attack he quickly changes back into a Man to fight.

He also has a very strong Defense, being made completely out of Thoracica Barnacles it's like being a Walking Piece of Armour, he acts like the S-Rank Earth Hardening Technique in strength except B-Ranks and below have no effect at all. Unless it is Lightning then this immunity only extends to C-Rank and below. He also cannot be effected by Genjutsu of any kind as other Barnacles in his head will take the effect instead of him and because there are many that form the head.

- Oregon can use "Body of the Thoracica" on any Acorn Barnacle on the Field
- Oregon can be summoned with a Weapon made of Calcite Shell, it acts like a normal weapon.
- Oregon separating his body to dodge attacks costs a Move (not if he's doing it to stretch his limb further to attack). He can use this to dodge small scale jutsu as well.
- Oregon changing in the Creature Form to move faster costs a move, changing back doesn't.
- Oregon can only be summoned Once per fight
- Oregon can only last 4 turns on the field
- Must have signed Barnacle Contract

Ryuu! To what do I owe the pleasure young man? It looks like you're all better too now!

The barnacle looked around pointedly as he spoke, as if to say, I don't see any danger here, so what gives? Ryuu smiled apologetically before communicating with the boss telepathically.

Well there's nothing life threatening or anything, I just wanted to test something out. Remember the core? I need it for something. You'll see.

Of course!

The summon took the core out from his pocket with precision, impressing Ryuu as that showed him that the barnacle knew where it was at all times. It was in good hands. Passing it over to Ryuu, the boy then placed it in his palm beside the crystal shard, with the summon looking on curiously. He had no clue what was happening, but he was happy to observe just the same. Nothing happened yet, so he made them touch each other, and when even that didn't work, he started to lightly tap and then rub the shard against the core. Waiting for a few moments to see if anything happened, a disappointed Ryuu then sighed inaudibly when he found that everything was still just the same as ever. It seemed they were not connected to each other. He wondered what he was even supposed to do with the core. The barnacle looked from the duo of crystal and core, to Ryuu, then back to the duo again.

Ummm, was it supposed to do something?

I'm not sure... But there's crystals popping up all over this island from recent times, and I was wondering if the shard would react to anything. So far I tried blood, tears, and now this core, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. No idea what it is...

Does sound like a mystery indeed. I've obviously never heard of 'em either, but maybe just hold on to it anyway?

Yeah I will, but I'm not done yet. Lemme try a couple more things. By the way, I collected 2 more shards as well. Could you hold on to them along with the core, in case something happens to this one?

The summon nodded as he accepted the extra shards and pocketed them carefully, along with the core once again.
Of course Ryuu.
Looking at the shoreline a few metres away from them, Ryuu smiled. The little scientist in him wouldn't give up that easily. Walking over to the water as Oregon watched him, Ryuu bent down and dipped the crystal shard in the water. Was there some connection between the crystals and the water? After all, he crystals were growing on an island. It would make sense to him if they were related to the water in some way. However, after a few moments of submerging it in the water, it became apparent to him that nothing was happening. He frowned and took it out of the water. What a mysterious object this was. Walking back to Oregon a little deflated, Ryuu thought to try one more thing. Perhaps lightning may do something. He knew water didn't do anything, earth didn't either, for when he broke the shard off from the main giant crystal, he had used an earth kick, and nothing had happened. Wind didn't do anything either, as there was wind surrounding them the whole time, so that only left lightning and fire from the elements.

Not wanting to destroy the crystal, but only see if it synchronised with something, Ryuu opted for small attacks. Placing the shard on the ground before him, he directed small bolts of lightning upon it. After the dust cleared, he noted that it still looked the same. That only left one more option. Quickly following up, Ryuu gathered fire chakra before inhaling, then releasing small fireballs at the shard as he exhaled. Again, once the dust cleared around it, it was seen that it was still in perfect condition and looked as still and the same as ever. No glowing or illuminating of any kind. Oregon could see that the boy looked defeated now, with his silence and how he drooped his shoulders. He went over to him and laid a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Hey look, it's okay. Maybe you'll find the answer sometime later, right? And if something happens on my end with these two shards, I'll be sure to let you know.

Ryuu gave a little nod, then straightened himself up again. There was no time for sulking. He remembered the voice asking for help.

I think I need to go somewhere. I heard a voice asking for help, but I don't know where. I think I should go gather some information. You can leave for now.

Of course, anytime!

Oregon disappeared in a poof as Ryuu was left to gather his thoughts. The sun was setting now though, so he was going to need to find someplace to stay for the night. Picking up the shard from the ground, he hopped onto his bird again, looking down from above to follow the path to the town where he could rest.

Gather useful information (2)

In the dimming light, Ryuu soared through the air again on his bird until they reached the island's city. Upon arriving on the outskirts of it, Ryuu landed on the ground and dispersed the ink creation, in an effort to be less noticeable. Surely he would stick out like a sore thumb if he had a bird made of ink following him around. Entering into the city alone now, the young Hyūga could see that there was still activity happening within, albeit dying down now along with the sunlight. It wasn't too difficult to make sense of what each building was, or where the main things were, and so Ryuu easily located a tavern. Perfect. A place to stay for the night, as well as find information. Swiftly walking on the rocky streets, he paused at the entrance of the tavern, lifting the curtain before entering.

Unfortunately for him, ditching his bird wasn't enough to not warrant much attention, for as soon as he entered, the tavern became almost completely silent as all eyes turned to him. It made sense. What business did a 15 year who still looked very much like a child have in a place like this? What's more, he also had a ninja's attire on, making him stick out even further. Oh well, there was no point worrying about it. As he calmly walked to an empty table on the side, he could hear a bit of snickering and caught words such as 'baby', 'milk' and 'mum', which when he pieced together, he figured they were teasing him and suggesting he should go back to his mother for milk, basically calling him a baby. Slightly annoyed but also embarrassed, he sat down by himself, trying to ignore the jibes at him. He pretended he wasn't bothered by it, as he now sipped on a glass of water provided to him by the bartender upon request.

Soon enough, the men went back to their conversations and forgot about him, having better things to talk about, and Ryuu tried his hardest to listen to the conversations around him. Some talked about travels, others about work, some about family, or marital affairs, but what really stood out to him where conversations about the crystal. Some were talking about it, but he didn't learn anything that he didn't already know about it. It seemed that these people were curious about the crystals, but they held the same questions as him. Where did they come from and why? Finally, Ryuu heard something of worth. A older man with a gruff voice cut through the chatter, one that stood out and was easy for Ryuu to pick apart the words that were being said from other conversations.

Did ya hear about the gates of hell being opened? Irkalla or somethin'? Folks who been there said there's creatures there that... that try to eat them alive.

Ryuu hung on to every word that was being said, not even realising that in the process of trying to hear, he was intently staring at the man, who also happened to notice now.

What do ya want kid? U wanna go to hell? Huh?

Ryuu looked away, pretending he wasn't listening, but he had already caught the man's attention now. With loud footsteps, he came over to join Ryuu at the table now, pointing a large finger at Ryuu as he spoke.

I know people like you. The only reason you're here, is for the talk of town, innit?

The man smiled gleefully, before rubbing his thumb and index finger together, indicating to Ryuu that it would require some money before he would divulge some more information. Ryuu hesitated for a second, then realising that this was the best way to get any useful information, he reached into his pouch to grab a couple of coins. The crystal shard also came out on his hand, kind of unintentionally. When the man saw it, he had a look of more understanding on his face.

Aah, so just like others before you, you're comin' to find information about this crystal eh? Maybe even what to do with it?

Ryuu nodded reluctantly.

Okay, well I hear that people who be taking the crystals from here then go to hell.
When he saw Ryuu's expression of slight disappointment that perhaps he was getting tricked, he cleared up the misunderstanding quickly.

No no, not that. I mean, actual hell. They say that the gates have opened now, an underground world or something called Irkalla I think. Somewhere up north you have to go. They say there's like a magic portal or something that you have to enter first. It's not the friendliest place of course... I don't know how you would survive there shrimp. Whatever, not my business. Die if you want, I don't give a damn. Anyways, apparently they need help there or something.

The man shrugged, then looked off into space as Ryuu put two and two together. The voice calling out to him for help, and now this knowledge of hell apparently seeking help? Perhaps they were connected. There were so many strange occurrences these days. The rifts, the crystals, this so called hell. They could very well all be connected to each other, especially if the thing about the portal the man said was true. The man took Ryuu's silence to mean that he didn't need any more information, not that he had anymore to give anyway, so with a nod of his head, he got up to go back to his table. Ryuu just sat there for a while, grabbing a few more earfuls about the current things happening around the world that he wasn't aware of. After a while, when he was satisfied that he had gotten enough information for his purposes, he got up and found himself a room to stay in for the night. He would leave the next morning to act on this newfound information.

Wanting to rest comfortably this time as he journeyed across the ocean, Ryuu opted to find a ship that was setting sail for the tea peninsula. When he eventually found one, he paid his fare and jumped aboard, taking a room to rest in whilst patiently waiting for the journey to start.

[Spawning in with Lio Fotia]

Mission Start

Recover a Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard from the Moon Isle (188), site of a gigantic violet crystal emerging from the earth (C-Rank Mission).

Lio's head hurt. Slowly opening his eyes, he winced as the light of the day seemed to be much brighter then it should be. Where was he? How did he get here? Where.....was here? He jolted up into a sitting position, realising just how much he did not know about his current situation.

His eyes darting around, slowly beginning to adjust to the daylight, trying to take in as much information as he could. Ok, first of all, he was on a beach. Great place to start, there can only be what a thousand or so beach's in the world.......maybe? This was definitely a beach he did not know.

"The f**k is going on?" he said out loud to himself. Crossing his arms and lowering his head, he closed his eyes and tried to recollect at least the last couple of days.
...
.....
.......

*10 minutes later*

"NOTHING?! How could there be nothing!" Frustrated, he gathered his things and hoisted himself upright to his feet. How could he remember nothing from the last several days, there wasn't the smell of booze on his breath or clothing, so the odds of him going on a bender were highly unlikely. And there was no visible damage to him either so post-battle exhaustion was off the table too. "Oh well, I need to first find out if this is inhabited or not."

"Byakugan!"

Using his visual prowess, Lio began his scan of the island. Okay, so it was an island shaped in a crescent moon, somewhat cliche. There were inhabitants! Good, good start. Oh a port! EXCELLENT! He had a way off the island without having to fly, bonus. "What....?" He paused. He had just come across something most peculiar, not to far from him either. What were they....some form of crystal? Something was off though, it was almost unsettling to view them through the Byakugan. Moving at a more than brisk pace, Lio made his way over to wear he had seen the mass crystalline formation.

Upon his arrival, he was stunned. "What the hell...?" He couldn't form his words right, or more that words wouldn't be enough to describe whatever these were. They were beautiful, unsettling beautiful. The formations themselves almost looked unnaturally natural, maybe that was what was throwing him for a loop?

His eyebrow raised slightly as he moved in closer to try and examine its surface, reaching out his hand carefully, he slowly began to caress the surface of the crystal. It was smooth, yet looked like it should be somewhat course in texture, ragged even. But now, even going around to other separate clusters he couldn't wrap his head around it. Something about these was peaking his interest.

Through his eyes, he could see a person slowly approaching the site. Turning, he addressed the figure, a young man in simple attire.

"Yo, my guy. What the hell is up with these crystals?" he said rather casually. The young man simply shrugged and gestured toward the formations.

"No clue. They just appeared one day. Ruptured right out of the ground as you see them, caused quite a commotion to be honest with you." briefly pausing before continuing "Stranger yet, you wouldn't believe the amount of people we see coming to look at them. They mainly just grab a bit of them and then leave. Some people are real odd. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go back to my errands." Waving as he turns and leaves "Have a good day man!"

Lio turned back to the formations. Eying them down. People have been coming and taking them away, but what for? What reason would someone want to do that? This was tickling his curiosity now. He had to know what they were for. With the aid of his Byakugan, he scoured the area to see if there was any shards or fragments that had been left scattered from others.

Nope, zilch, nada, nothing. He plopped down against one of the formations and sighed. How could this place be picked clean?! Feeling frustrated, he absent-mindedly slammed his fist against the formation next to him. A single silent moment occurred before he heard the faint sound of cracking, looking upward just in time to see a piece of the crystal falling towards his face. "Oh come on!"

Picking the shard off his face, he smiled to himself at how comical that must have looked to anyone if they had been watching. Looking down at the shard in his hand, he continued to smile wider at the thought of what this could possibly bring him in the future. But first, he needed to find a nicer place to go to try and see what this crystal was about. Back to the beach then.

Jutsu Used

(Dōjutsu: Byakugan) Eye Technique: The All Seeing White Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 (+5 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description: The kekkei genkai intrinsic to both the Hyūga and Ōtsutsuki clans—descendants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Those who possess this dōjutsu have it manifested as eyes with featureless white irides and no visible pupils. And when activated, the pupils become more distinct and the veins near their temples bulge. To activate the dōjutsu, Hyuga but not Ōtsutsuki clan members are initially obliged to use a rather long and specific sequence of handseals: Horse → Tiger → Boar → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar → Snake. But once activated, the dōjutsu user is endowed with a range of skills.

To start, an activated Byakugan gives the user a near 360º diameter field of vision bar one blind spot at the back of the neck, above the first thoracic vertebra. Its vision can penetrate through any solid objects or obstructions, and likewise remains unaffected by blinding interferences. But that being said, certain barriers and the like may distort its perception. In addition, it is able to follow high-speed movements, which enables those with this dōjutsu to analyze their foes' actions and better react to them. The Byakugan is also able to see chakra to a higher degree than the Sharingan and ergo, identify where a person's chakra signature originates from. Beyond that, it can discern certain types of clones from the real person. And its ability to see chakra is in fact so acute that those who possess this dōjutsu are even able to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that comprise it. The Hyūga clan has gone so far as to develop their unique Gentle Fist style in order to capitalize on this particular ability.

Note: Hyuga clan bios of at least Jonin rank become able to passively activate their dōjutsu upon one month having passed since Gentle Fist training concluded. Ōtsutsuki bios never need to expend a move in order to activate it.
Note: While traversing the NW, bios with activated Byakugan are able to see up to two 2 adjacent landmarks away while those of sage rank can see as far as three away, but this doesn't extend beyond an ocean landmark.

Mission Start

Examine the Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard (C-Rank Mission).

Ahh the beach again. Serene, calm waves, gently ebbing to-and-fro along the shore. A picturesque setting that was the complete opposite of how Lio was feeling inside.

He stared at the crystal shared held in his hand, gently nibbling at his other hands thumbnail in frustration. How could this have no trace of chakra, or anything for that matter. He lifted it up to his nose and took a couple of sniffs, granted he could only smell the ocean, but what actually interested him was that there was no smell. Like it didnt have any odour but there was an uneasy absence of smell around it. He couldnt explain it but it frustrated him to no end!

"Well, if it doesn't have a small, how about a taste!" He tentatively extended his tongue to give it a lick. Through his Byakugan, he kept an eye out for anyone that might walk by, he did not want anyone to see what he did next. He raised it to his lips before partially putting it into his mouth, kinda awkwardly he realised that there it was again. No flavour or taste. Nothing. Not even the taste of sea water tarnished its surface.

It was then at this point that it also hit him. Though he could see himself holding the crystal, he could not actually feel it in his hands, it was almost like some kind of weird phenomenon was causing his fingers around it to be numb. He flicked it with his finger, feeling nothing but also hearing no sound resonate from it.

“What the hell is this thing?” he muttered to himself “Would chakra do anything…?” sitting down with his legs crossed, he held the shard with both his hands and closed his eyes, concentrating. Channeling his chakra he moved it through his core and flowing down his arms and into his hands. Opening his eyes to get a visual, he attempted to flow the chakra built up into the crystal slowly through each of his finger tips.

No reaction. In frustration he threw the shard down in front of him and gathered his chakra again, pointing his index finger at the shard, he shot a small spout of liquid fire at the shard. Maybe something this extreme would cause a reaction. He watched the flame dance and bubble around the fragment, seemingly to no effect as well. Gathering up the sand around the fire and shard, he scooped up the sand to submerge the fire and fragment, extinguishing the fire. Taking a second before dusting the sand off and digging the shard out and picking it up while lost in his thoughts.

Holding the piece up to his face again, he pondered to himself. “What are you for?!” Suddenly recalling what the man he met said about people coming to see the crystals, he realised that someone must know or at least have a hint as to what it could do. Standing up and brushing off the loose sand from his clothes, he turned his attention to the port. “Someone there must have seen something or heard something.”

Placing the shard back into his pouch, he began to make his way off the beach and headed towards the port.

Demonstrate your skill with the flute

Wei Wuxian Appears!

In the distance where the sun meets the sea and a small foggy mist pervades, a small, mysterious tune could be heard and a young mans hair fluttered softly in the breeze, the waves of the sea churned, rose and fell signifying the rough weather, across the small choppy waves a small sail boat crossed the the waters, its sail ruffling slightly from the winds changing directions before it once again caught another gust, causing the sail to expand outwards, carrying itself towards the moon shaped island once more.

A young man donning pitch black robes covered with small red decoration, a red sash and hair ribbon, he stood gracefully and on the bow of the ship, his eyes closed as he held a black flute to his mouth as a sweet mysterious melody spread outwards, covering the area, those located on the docks looked outwards towards the sea, where the mans silhouette could be seen along with the boat, the sailor that carried him and steered the boat had grown accustomed to this sight on his journey as he had heard this young man play the flute a few times now, but each time it still caused him to watch and listen in awe of its melody.

You must be registered for see medias

The young man lost himself deeper and deeper as he continued to play his flute, entering him own trance as time seemed to stop around him, whiles more people from the mainland took notice, he finger pressed beautifully and gracefully as it gently created the symphony of sound which spread across the local area, the music that spread out seemed to tell a story, a story of the young mans journey, a story of his past, one could not be sure but it gripped them non the less as they became fixated upon that sound.

It was clear that much love had gone into this flute and the melodies which resounded reflected that, only through constant use and practice could one play the flute so expertly, its black shine absorbing and slightly reflecting the morning sunlight, each breath taken was expertly done and second nature unaffecting the melody and in fact adding to it.

The sail boat inched closer and closer to the dock and as it did so the flutes tune spread further onto the mainland, captivating more people as they took notice and made their way closer to the edge of the dock, whiles the young man approached closer, a steady breath breathing through the flutes interior whiles his fingers moved fluidly over the slots which created the melody, his hair fluttered along with his robes as his position on the bow of the ship did not change one bit.

as time went on and the boat moved closer still the melody reached its apex, at this point everyone on the dock that could hear the melody had been captured by its tune, some seemed to resonate with the music more than others and had in fact released small, almost unnoticeable tears.

Finally, the young man opened his eyes and pulled the flute away from his mouth as the boat rocked next to the dock, he waved his hand which held the flute to thank the sailor which had brought him across the sea and stepped off the boat where he was greeted with a small crowd.

"Finally, I, Wei Wuxian have arrived!"

Gather information from the locals at the port on Moon Isle (Custom D-Rank)

Lio trudged his way down the path. Leading from the beach, he had found a natural trail that would lead him directly to the port town. His aim was simple, people had been to this island before to examine the stones, so someone surely must have crossed paths with them long enough to know where they may be heading from here.

Reaching the crest of a small noll, Lio stared down at the town before him. “Alright, now where is the best place to start?” He pondered for a moment as the breeze gently swept through his hair. “I know, the docks. I can ask people who own boats if they've taken anyone somewhere after they got a crystal.”

Venturing forth, he made his way into town. Walking down some of the alleyways, along the streets, ending up at a small street market that lead directly to the docklands. Taking a little time looking he peeked at what was on offer by the locals that seemed to be wanting to capitalize on the new tourism site that had appeared on the island.

"Excuse me, could i just ask you a quick question?" he said as he came up on one of the less busier stalls. . "I can certainly do my best, young man. What would you like to know?" She said with a wide smile on her face. "Is it about the crystals on the island?"

Lio laughed softly "Yes, actually. Ive just been to visit the crystals myself, and I was just curious if you would know anyone previously, or had seen someone leave the island with one of them?" He took a second to calm his breathing as he did not wish to go full blown curiosity nut in front of this person. "Would you know anyone that i could talk to that might be able to help me?"

There was a brief pause, as the lady took a moment to think "Well one of the ships just came to dock in this morning." Looking down the street she pointed to a medium size vessel tied to the outer most pier "If you go talk to the captain of that ship, Im sure they can be of help." Bowing his head in thanks, Lip gives the lady some money before parting with a wave. "Thank you so much Miss! Have a good day!"

With the crowd bustling around him, Lio slowly manoeuvred his way across the small ocean of faces and out into a lesser populated are, followed a path down an alleyway, before finally reaching the outside most pier. Marching forward, as he approached, he could see that the vessel was in the process of receiving stock. Looks like they may be sailing off again soon.

"Excuse me youngin" a gruff voice spoke from behind him "Is there anything I can help you with? Lio turned around. to face the stranger before replying.
"Yes actually. Im looking for the captain of this ship. Is it safe to assume that I am speaking to the man i was seeking?" Lio smiled slightly, he'd known the man was behind him from the beginning, "Could I impose a quick question upon you before you depart?"

"As long as it is quick, we're to set off as soon as the last crate is on board." Lio bowed his head to the captain "Thank you very much, Im here to see if I can find out anything about the crystals that have appeared around the island. Currently my examination is at a halt, so I was wondering if you have taken anyone off the island, who may have had a crystal fragment with them, or talked about a destination they were heading."

Lio remained silent while he waited for an answer, he could see the captain was trying to recall something. Yes actually. Its been a topic around the docks here for a little bit now, from what everyone else has heard, no one can find out what those crystal do or what they might be for." He paused slightly when he heard his crew shout that they were ready to leave. Holding his hand up to signal them to be patient for a minute he continued "But...we have seen a number of the people who came to examine them head west. If you like we can take you as far a Toksong, across the Kanashii ocean. From there we will be heading up north. If that suits ya?"

Lio couldnt believe his good fortune, thanking the man for his generosity, he followed the captain to his vessel where they set sail to cross the Kanashii Ocean.

Explore the City of Moon Isle

The beginning..

Wei Wuxian had just touched down on land after a few days travel on the sea, he did not mind the travel though as he very much enjoyed taking the time to relax and live in the moment, he took a glance around at the area, this was the moon isle docks, it was the only dock which existed on Moon isle, here you could see a variety of sail boats and fishing boats, small sea side stalls set up selling their gains from their trips out to sea, fish could be seen laid out in various arrays to catch the eyes of those who passed by, Others had taken to selling the small trinkets and wares which came in from other boats and their findings on the seal floor, for the most part these small trinkets were nothing special but occasionally there would be a rarity among them.

Wei Wuxian began to make his way towards the main city, this would be the place he would start, exploring its inner workings, whiles making his way to the city entrance he had passed several Restaurants, these were typically on the poorer side but glancing in, one could see a few rowdy patrons enjoying a small dice game, one of the participants clearly had a devastated look on his face, Wei Wuxian simply smiled as he thought to himself *So, the rumours were true, it seems gambling is the natural past time here.. looks like I will really get to let loose and relax..* A small sly smile spread on his face as he thought to himself.

Soon Wei Wuxian had made his way to the entrance of the city, it seemed for some reason the city was a bit more on the bustling side and a long line of those interested to enter were stood waiting, Wuxian took a quick glance down noticing that the local guards were charging an entrance fee to the city, whiles providing passes to those who could afford the entrance fee, those who couldn't afford to get in were limited to the outskirts and small inns along the dock.

Wei shook his head wryly, on this occasion he was not carrying much money, he would definitely not be able to pay the entrance fee, knowing this and knowing he could not afford to be caught without money, he decided to leave the line, finding a blind spot, taking a careful look around before moving, Wuxian disappeared from his spot in a flash, in the next second he was already 3 quarters up the wall, gracefully floating over whiles remaining ever stealthy, a mischievous grin upon his face, he landed upon the floor and once against disappeared in the next moment, removing himself from the area in case of eye witnesses.

Wuxian slowly walked through the heart of the city, taking in his surroundings, in this particular area was a market place, once again people selling their wares, the sound of bartering could be heard around him and the sound of slightly heated conflicts as some of the patrons who visited the stalls appeared to have been ripped off, Wuxian ridiculed them deep in his heart, who asked them to be so gullible, in the secular world where Wei Wuxian was born being ripped off and knowing somethings worth was natural, still, he couldn't blame them, he continued through the town where he came across several restaurants which doubled as inns, some of these places were 3 stories high.

it was clear that this city was fairly well off, there were several high value stores and fine dining inns, there were numerous guardsmen roaming the area also, possibly to quell any disagreements or violence from gambling, although their bodies were physically strong, very few seemed to have strong spirits, this was normal for a city with very little ninjutsu in it, and unlike himself, very few were trained to such a high level, Wuxian continued to explore the city, the city itself was very large, and yet even so it seemed to be fairly crowded, it was no wonder a charge for entering the city had been put in place, this caused Wei Wuxian to fall into thought, was this city always so bustling, would such a town focused on gambling be a place where so many people would gather and if they were, why would the city put an entrance restriction into the city when it would want as much gambling revenue as possible.. perhaps the reason for all the bustle was something other than gambling.

The city lord which resided over the area would surely not make such a mistake, whether someone was poor or not, there was always value in possessions and belongings, the sun was beginning to set as it entered the early evening, at this point Wei Wuxian had looked around and explored the city thoroughly, had taken note of the guards routes and positions and his sensory allowed him to keep tabs on them, what's more, in the distance coming from the largest building he could sense an abnormally strong spirit, it was no doubt this was the City Lord, the leader placed in charge meant to protect the area and see over its everyday management.

Wuxian turned around and slowly made his way to a nearby building, this building was large and had 5 stories to it, this was one of the main gambling halls of the city, atop its door way was a large, ornately decorated sign with golden kanji spread across its surface, 'Lucky Liar Pavilion'

It was here that Wei Wuxian planned to put his plans into place.

Wei Wuxian strolled on in to 'Lucky Liar Pavilion', this gambling house was one of the biggest in the city, people often came by to try their luck, there were many forms of gambling to be done here ranging from simple card games to an extravagant arena set up by the nobles, Wei's eyes darted around taking in the scenery and games around, he would have liked to join in immediately however he was currently penniless himself and every game including the arena required money to be put up first, of course Wei was unable to participate in the arena, whiles it would be the easiest way to gain money it would draw far too much attention to himself, he continued to walk through the gambling hall, watching the hustle and bustle of the people around him, he noticed various guards placed around also keeping an eye on the ongoing games, A mischievous smirk began to creep onto Wei Wuxian's face.

Wei walked onwards towards the credit exchange desk, A credit exchange desk was exactly as it sounded, it was a place for various individuals to come and receive a lone in exchange for a valuable item, should they lose all the credit they lose their valuable item, on the other hand if they strike it big they are able to buy back their valuable item, many people had lost their valuable items in this way before.

Wei smiled as he met the eyes of the woman who handled the desk, his eyes gleaming, he slowly unravelled his sword from his waist and carefully placed it onto the desk "Excuse me Miss, I would like to exchange my Ancestors Twilight Sword of the Ages for credit if possible" Wei's sword was in fact a common piece of iron currently, his real sword was left within the sect unable to be brought with him, of course his aim was to make his sword sound as fancy as possible in order to increase its worth, the woman behind the desk was a fairly young individual, she had long flowing white hair, fair skin to go along with it as well as other desirable assets, this was not uncommon and in fact a tactic used by many establishment to secure business, unfortunately on this occasion she had met Wei Wuxian. The young woman looked at the sword briefly giving it a quick glance over, she had yet to even look directly at Wei, she slowly reached under the desk, grabbing hold of 2 bags, dumping them on the desk, creating a clank sound, clearly the bags were filled with coins. "200 credits for the sword" The woman retorted, Wei quickly spoke in response, "Only 200 credits for my ancestors sword! blasphemous, I will have you know young beauty that this sword is filled with great power and is worth at least a thousand credits!" Wei once again did his utmost to sell the swords worth making sure to oversell it as best as he could, the young woman merely turned and took another look at the sword, this time she took it hold and pulled it from its sheathe, revealing the cold gleam of the blade, whiles clearly well looked after, the blade was still only made of Iron, the woman looked closely at the sword and sneered, turning around to face Wei as she spoke in a displeased tone "What great power! This is clearly nothing bu..." Her voice faded as she came to look into Wei Wuxian's eyes, her heart skipped a beat as she observed the flawless appearance of Wei, his deep red eyes drawing her inn, her face began to burn as her cheeks took on a similar colour, Wei's voice became soft and alluring as he spoke "Young Miss, it is clear you have great vision and your experience boundless, but I am afraid this sword needs a much closer look" Wei's face moved closer to the woman's causing her to become nervous "This sword is unlike any other and it is very precious to me, this is not something I can share to loudly so I can only put my trust in you to take care of it" Wei placed his hand on the hilt of the blade as he drew in the young woman's gaze, he channelled a fraction of his chakra through the blade, not something the woman could notice, the blade began to sparkle, small wisps began to appear on and close to the blade, causing the woman to gasp quietly, Wei quickly removed his hand from the sword after which the sword returned to its regular ironlike appearance, Wei continued, striking while the iron was hot "As you can see, this blade is no normal blade, my ancestors sword is absolutely worth over a thousand credits" The young woman's face was bright red from being so close to Wei, whiles also showing a look of shock at the blade, of course this was merely one of Wei's spiritual techniques, the young woman looked up once again, grabbing more bags from underneath, "I understand and can see that this sword is indeed special, however I am afraid I am only allowed to offer 600 credits, this is the limit of what I can offer you" Wei sighed and shook his head lightly before returning his gaze sharply to look at the young woman which once again caused her to become breathless, "I understand young Miss, I do not want to make things hard for you, I am glad that you were able to see the worth in this blade, I will take the 600 credits and will surely be back for my treasured sword", with that Wei grabbed hold of the bags storing them on his person before turning away, moving into the crowds of the gambling hall, a large grin appeared on his face.

After swindling the young woman, Wei looked around at his target, unfortunately he couldn't just use the credits for other use as they were limited to just the gambling games and could not replace real money which is what he needed right now, the guards continued to remain visual, luckily his small display by the counter was not seen by the guards and did not cause a ruckus, Wei decided to avoid the arena all together and looked towards the smaller games, slowly he headed his way towards a card game, this card game was a simple one, get two cards, and get as close to 21 as possible, you can choose to draw or fold playing against the dealer or other table members, Wei decided to take a seat, there were two other people here also, the dealer looked at Wei as he asked the question, "Are you in? 10 Credits" Wei merely nodded with a smile as he placed the credits on the table, the other two patrons followed suit, the cards were swiftly dealt, and were then flipped, Wei received a 10 and a 3 for a total of 13, he had plenty of room to draw, whiles the other two had a king and a 5 and a jack and an 8 respectively, Wei gestured towards the dealer, drawing another card, unfortunately Wei did not have much luck, his drawn card ended up being a 9, taking him over and causing him a loss, Wei sighed as the money in the pool went to the individual with the jack and 8 who chose to fold, Wei once again placed his credits in and tried his luck, his cards came to a total 19, which caused him to smile softly, filled with confidence, unfortunately the other patron this time managed to get exactly 21 by drawing a third card once again causing Wei a loss, this proceeded time and time again until the first bag of credits Wei had gotten were gone, he sighed dramatically as he left his seat, Wei was not mistaken, there seemed to be some manipulation of the cards from the dealer, this resulted in some controlled wins and even bigger losses to certain individuals.

Wei pondered in thought for a moment before heading towards a different table, Wei had observed plenty now and realised he was not being targeted completely, this allowed him some room for some manipulation of his own, a dark grin appeared on his face as he approached the new table, on this table was a game of dice, specifically odds and evens, the table bet on either odds or evens and the winning side would win double the money they had put in whiles the opposing losing side would lose out, two dice were played in this game, Wei once again put in money betting on evens, he bet 50 of his credits on this occasion, the dealer rolled the dice, throwing them across the table as they bounced alone changing their numbers as they did so, until they eventually came to a stop, a total of 13 was rolled, Wei once again lost out along with a few others where as the few who chose odds came off greater, Wei smiled, it seems there was a trick here also he thought, but it didn't matter, Wei was about to put his own plan into action, he paid in once again, placing down another 50 credits, and this time waiting to choose as the majority chose odds, Wei chose evens, the dealer rolled once again, several bounces later the dice revealed their numbers, a total of 16 came out, Wei smiled further, he had won his money back and also noticed that the dealer often went against the majority, it made sense after all, it seemed to be the best way to gain money whiles also dishing it out, of course no one really seemed to notice as the dealer would throw in a change once in a while, Wei paid in again, this time placing up 100 credits, this time he chose to go with the crowd and picked odds, the dice rolled, they rolled along the table for a while before they began to come to a standstill, the last dice was just about to roll over moving from odds to evens, this time however, Wei flicked his finger, air pressure blew towards the dice and knocked it back the other way causing it to settle down on odds, allowing himself and many others a win, the dealers eyes flinched in surprise for a second but soon returned to normal, it seemed the dice he was using were not always full proof which allowed Wei more wiggle room to get away with, he managed to double his money securing 200 coins of real money, the dealer rolled a few more times and Wei played him like a fiddle, sometimes altering the results, whiles other times playing the crowd and winning that way, occasionally he would allow himself to lose so as not to draw suspicion.

Wei had managed to procure himself 800 real coins at this point, however many guards had started to gather and close in on the table, their eyes locking on like hawk's, whiles Wei did not find them threatening in the slightest, he did not want to get caught either, whiles the guards might not be threatening, the city lord could surely give him a run for his money, he had to lay low and get out with a substantial amount suitable for his needs, Wei opted to place another 400 down on the table to bet, the dealer let loose the dice, Wei had chosen odds once again, going against the crowd, the dice seemed to be about to land on evens, taking Wei a little by surprise, he furrowed his brow as he chose to manipulate his spiritual energy this time, manipulating the dice, securing his win, he did this by using an overexaggerated movement feigning disappointment as it appeared he was about to lose, the guards looked towards him, some narrowing their gaze but his actions did not draw too much attention and his actions were not out of the ordinary.

Wei had managed to make a total of 2000 real coins at this table, plenty to last him for a while at least, he chose not participate from this point on however still chose to 'watch' the games and manipulate the game for the crowd, this rid him of any suspicion he may have gotten in the process of gaining his winnings whiles placing suspicion on another, choosing to manipulate the dice whiles another player made suspicious movements, eventually the guards became certain, surrounding the suspicious individual, the middle aged man was taken away and dragged up the stairs heading towards the higher floors.

Wei Grinned as he left the table once the guards dispersed and slowly faded in with the crowd disappearing with his winnings

Recover a Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard from the Moon Isle (188), site of a gigantic violet crystal emerging from the earth (C-Rank Mission)

A ship lands on Moon Isle. A door opens with Mika and machinery that rolls out and the door closes behind them.

“We have made it Orga.”

The machine makes some noise. This place is where they had heard about a mysterious violet crystal. The world has gotten weirder than ever before. Mikazuki takes a few more steps while looking out in the distance of the island. The island itself had no real mystery to itself and he would uncover it. He and Orga take off deeper into the island’s mysterious ways. He passes people whispering looking at him and companion. He was wondering why they were looking at him so oddly but it could just be because they never have seen someone like him and his droid.

“Orga guess they have never seen someone like me or even a machine like you. Either way we need to be off to see about this crystal.”

He continued walking and noticed more and more people. There are whispers he can hear and words like violet, crystal, huge, and out of nowhere. He was getting close thanks to some people not really knowing how to whisper. As he moves through the crowd of people and there he can see a few meters ahead is a huge crystal. The young man had never seen such a large crystal ever in a life nor heard of such a thing. The crystal shines bright and can tell as he gets a lot closer to it that it has markings on it that didn’t seem very natural to him at all. It was like something or someone had done it themselves. He reaches out with his right hand to touch the crystal. It wasn’t cold nor hot to the touch at all even with his metallic gloves he could feel the difference in temperatures if it was above normal levels.

“Hmm I must take a piece of this crystal with me and examine it further but away from here. Orga will you help me please.”

Orga makes some noise as Mika takes a normal katana from his hip. He holds it with his left hand then his right hand. He holds the katana at a downward angle at which the tip of the blade is pointed to the left towards the ground. He brings it up the katana from its standstill position and slashes as it comes up at the crystal, diagonally. He turns the katana to the right and using the momentum he continues the motion horizontally to the left. He stops and brings the katana up over his head. He brings the katana down. Bringing the katana to the opposite side of where it started at the swings it diagonally to the left. He brings it across and back down, slashing again making this the fifth slash to the crystal and the katana back to its original position. There the crystal had no markings at all as if Mika’s katana wasn’t sharp which it was. Mika wasn’t surprised by this but was intrigued to say the least.

( Ken Rendan no Jutsu ) - Sword Barrage Technique

Orga for some reason shoots at the crystal dealing ninety damage. Mika once he hears the cannons on Orga going off he leaps back putting the katana away. He lands a meter on the left back side of Orga. He turns the droid and say,

When they encounter their targets, each of the Beskar armored droidekas unfold into a tripodal weapons platform, armed with a set of two twin blaster cannons which could unleash a withering torrent of firepower, dealing 90 damage per volley of Repulsor energy blasts.
“What is wrong with you Orga?”

Orga made some noise and with this he put the cannons away, rolling back up. Mika looks at the crystal where the droid had shot and not even a small crack was down to it at all. Mika was slightly upset at Orga but then again he can’t get upset because he did ask for help and help is hard to find these days. You can’t trust anything, not even your own eyes sometimes. He pats Orga on its back with his right hand.

“It is fine buddy.”

Mikazuki takes out a hilt. This hilt he channels a small amount of chakra into it. A blade is formed from the chakra inserted into the hilt. This blade glows with a blue color. Instead of going for multiple strikes to deal a semi amount of damage he would go for one swing dealing sixth damage with ease. He takes the hilt with a blue blade and swings it at a vertical angle but from the ground up. Once the slash is complete the blade disappears. The crystal still had no damage to it at all. This crystal was stubborn to say the least and Mika didn’t want to use anything too big because there were people around this mysterious site.

These armors also come equipped with an advanced Chakra Blade weapon in the form of a laser sword, axe or spear. These blades function similarly to canon Scientific Ninja Tool with the notable enhancement of the blade’s efficiency, allowing them to be used at only 10 chakra per turn and deals 60 damage per use, counting as a move per turn.
“Ugh”

He lets out a large sigh at such an experience. Mikazuki has a drone coming from his armor that looks like an Owl which he has flown a meter above his helmet. He puts away the hilt.

“Together”

The owl and Mika holding his right hand directly at the crystal focused on one point, they both release an A rank blast of Repulsor energy. This energy is deadly because it cuts off most healing abilities from working to heal. He was thinking the crystal had some form of regenerative ability hence why there is no sign it didn’t have any scratches or damage at all.

“This should do the trick.”

The crystal still didn’t have any damage done to it. This crystal had some great durability to take such a beating at this point but everything has a limit to it is what Mikazuki is thinking.

( Fukuro Sentai ) - Owl Squadron

The user’s drone is also capable of releasing laser blasts of A rank power, following targets until defeated or intercepted. These short range sized blasts are elementally neutral and can be fired in rapid succession.
( Gekitai Taihō ) - Repulsor Cannon

With the drone, Orga, and himself they all take aim at the crystal at one specific point. The same point at which they have been aiming at the whole time. Mika commands the drone to fly towards the crystal. Orga and Mika leap back as the drone gets in its position in front of the spot. Mika didn’t want to use such a large attack but this desperate cause for more unconventional methods.

He tosses fives which house a special tag on each one. These kunais hit the crystal at the same time the drone explodes and Orga releases a 100 damage Repulsor blast. This blast has no chakra. The kunais explode which more explodes go off one after another. These explodes last for a good moment but the smoke slowly clears after the last explosion which Mika and Orga both scroll up to the crystal noticing it has cracked and Mika reaches out to it. He tugs on it and it snaps off.

“Finally we have a piece of it, Orga. We need to get back to the ship and examine this immediately.”

They rush back to the ship which opens up its door to allow the duo in. Mika sits down in his chair as Orga stands next to him looking down at the crystal and back at Mika.

“Now let’s see what this is.”

In addition to this, the user is capable of supercharging the drone and releasing a large burst of its power at one time. This burst, dealing 90 damage, short circuits the drone and causes it to crash and become unusable.
Once per turn, Droideka can release massive Repulsor energy blasts fueled without chakra, dealing 100 damage.

Examine the Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard (C-Rank Mission)

The crystal is finally achieved and Mika and Orga finally are in the ship sitting down looking down at the crystal that is held in Mikazuki’s right hand.

“Now what should we do with this? We have seen how it reacts to our lasers. The crystal had no type of reaction to the lasers at all, even the explosions. We just broke it off, that's it. The amount of damage it received is very high. Higher than my armor itself. Whatever this crystal is, it definitely won't be from here.”

He stops in his tracks talking out loud. The young lad was wondering if it could be connected to the rumors going around about these rifts in specific locations around the world. The moon rocks that are scattered all over the world but this crystal is one designated area. This had him theorizing on what this crystal could be. He tosses it up and down from the air to his right hand. He channels his fire nature chakra through his hand. The crystal lands in his hand using a specific technique on a greater smaller scale the flames pursue the crystal that sits in Mika’s hand. He channels the chakra through his right hand and changes the nature to fire. He releases the chakra and has it circled around the crystal increasing the temperature of it. What Mika is trying to see does it react to heat. It doesn’t react how he expected. The crystal just gets hot like any other thing that fire touches. It was so hot that Mika could feel it through his armor.

(Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique

The heat isn’t unbearable. It still doesn’t have any reaction at all. The crystal has a high durability but doesn’t melt or even smoke at least. He stops channeling his chakra and the heat stops going up. While it still was hot with his left hand he holds it over his right hand which is holding the crystal. He channels his chakra through his left hand which controls the flow of the chakra. The flow of the chakra changed the nature of it into water. He manipulates it into a small blast of water which is the size of the crystal itself. The blast falls on the still hit crystal. Mika was thinking the two would cause some kind of steam from the water and heat of the crystal. It was an epic there too. No steam at all which is odd to say the least but then again this thing has high durability and doesn’t react to heat not even a crack like things would get once an object gets to hot temperature which this did.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique

“Orga what if this crystal isn’t an actual crystal. Maybe it’s something like a ritual.”

Orga makes some beeping noise agreeing to this. Mika takes his helmet off since there is no one around nor can see him. He bites his lip causing it to bleed. He spits on the crystal. He and Orga wait a few minutes but still nothing. He was guessing at this point. No scientific reasoning is working that he could think of. He even went off the reels with the blood. He puts the helmet back on. He and Orga go to the front of the ship. He puts the crystal down.

Mika and Orga sits in the ship. Mika thinks to himself on what he needs to do next. Orga rolling around the ship. He couldn't help but to think where he is now. What he was doing as a person in this large world. The world had so many mysterious that he wanted to discover. He was tied, no living on a new code at this point which gave his life meaning now. The kid was just all in his head that he couldn't but to help to think about everything has he was looking out the window. He reaches towards the command center of the ship and turns the ship on. He activates the Hyperdrives which allows the ability to Hypertravel. He heads out to a location he knew of the location. He needed to finish the blacksmith quest he sent him on.

Recover a Depleted Crystalline Apotheotic Shard from the Moon Isle

A Mysterious Shard
A Mysterious Shard

Having just left Lucky Liar Pavilion after obtaining a substantial amount of funds, Wei ventured into the crowd, he had been on the island for a while now and there were several rumours and gossip floating around which caught Wei's ear. Some crystal shard deposits had appeared on the island and it had attracted a fair few foreigners to this place, this explained the toll that was being taken at the gate of the city. It was strange to Wei how despite these rumours he hadn't seen a single crystal appear on any of the stools he had visited which were selling their goods, with the crystals drawing such attention from the outside world it would make sense for the natives of this island to sell them for funds but it seems it wasn't that simple. Wei continued on out of the city, he had heard that the large crystal deposit had popped up further out , Wei begun making his way towards the site where the deposit had appeared, his steps were neither fast nor slow, he was steady and calm as he continued forwards filled with absolute confidence.

Wei made his way through the wilderness as he kept an eye out for the supposed deposit, he couldn't help but wonder to himself how would a random deposit just appear out of no where, there had to be more to this than met the eye. Deposits and veins of ore could be uncovered but it would be an incredibly unusual thing for one to just suddenly sprout out of thin air, what could have caused such a thing to happen...

"I guess I will have to find out!"

A grin spread across Wei's aloof face, he found himself enjoying this island more and more as he travelled its far corners, of course Wei was aware he would also have to eventually leave this place, This caused Wei to feel melancholy, if he could help it, he wouldn't leave so soon, but he also knew that staying here would be going against his own Dao

It didn't take him long before Wei approached an area which seemed to be a bit more active than others, despite its surroundings being filled with trees and other jungle like foliage, it was clear that this area was more frequented recently. Nearby was a mixture of locals and Foreigners all attempting to take pieces of shards from the deposit, they tried various methods using both pickaxes, hammers and other brutish methods, it was clear at a glance that this shard was extraordinarily even the foreigners struggled using their methods. Wei simply waited on the side observing all of this as he pondered the existence of this deposit, he was unable to find any particular give aways that showed this shard was special, but just its hardness was enough to cause the greed in peoples eyes to shine, weapons made of this could be sold for high prices, at least to those not well versed in ninjutsu or utilising their chakra and other energies effectively.

"How long is this going to take.."

Wei sighed as he let slip his impatience, this caused a quite a few glances to come his way, some of them in contempt as they sneered at what they thought to be ignorance, in their minds Wei was simply a frog in a well, unable to see the sky beyond the wells confines and believing the sky he could see to be all there was, of course it wasn't their fault that they thought like this, how could they know that they were in fact the ignorant ones. Wei had clearly seemed to have hit a sore spot for these several foreigners and natives around him, it was likely that these individuals of various origins had tried for many, many hours and failed to get a single chip in the unique crystalline structure or perhaps they had even tried multiple times over these few days he had been on this island, perhaps even longer than that, alas it was not within Wei's nature to overly care about the thoughts and feelings of others, especially those who could not see beyond the horizon, this of course did not stop a young individual who had heard Wei's words to turn towards and to look in his direction, the young mans dull and tired eyes which seemed to contain the resentment of the underworld showed blatant hostility as he turned and took aggressive steps forwards towards Wei.

"Hmmph, If you want to make your way up instead and have a go at breaking this deposit then be my guest! Many people with ego's like yours, thinking they had strength beyond comprehension, have come to this island, to this deposit and failed, only the truly exemplary have succeeded!"

Wei merely stood their smiling as he listened to the young man and looked back toward the young man with a gaze filled with ridicule and well hidden killing intent, this lasted but an instant before Wei was sighing again letting go of any killing intent he held towards this lowly individual, it was not his fault, truly not his fault, not everyone could understand the world around them and work their ways to the peak of this world, Wei slowly closed his eyes which seemed to contain an unspoken confidence and deep comprehension, Wei slowly approached the crystalline deposit as its visage towered above them, each footstep held unyielding will and steadiness, each step seemed to contain an unfathomable strength yet not a single bit was wasted, of course none of this could truly be seen by the frogs that stood around him.

The young man looked back behind him showing a vicious gaze and sneered towards him as Wei moved around and passed him, his hair and robes flowing behind him magnificently, the young man clearly did not believe that Wei could break off and take a piece of this crystal, in fact quite a few individuals stood around him showing malicious grins and just waiting for Wei to humiliate himself, they would like nothing better. Wei of course ignored all of this and calmly yet resolutely approached the deposit, as he got closer and closer he firmly placed his right hand on his sword which was adorned on his left hip, his eyes which seemed to contain unseen strength focused at this moment, his muscles tensed and twitched as they engaged and showed off their definition, it was at this moment Wei drew his blade from its confines, it whistled at blinding intense speed, a light seemingly slashed across his body before him, everyone stood a few feet away and around the crystal construct as they looked onwards, these people could not even see Wei's blade leave its sheath, all they witnessed was a single small piece of the crystal deposit begin to fall to the cold rocky floor before Wei's hand stretched out and caught it.

The crowd looked on and around them in disbelief, looking to see the reactions of those around them, as if they could not believe what had just happened however Wei merely took hold of this crystal and slowly walked away, leaving the others behind him dumbfounded as he instead pondered the existence of this crystal.

Even now, those people did not realise that it was they who were frogs in the well.
