Minato seems too 'perfect'

I agree. The reason I don't particularly like Minato or Itachi is because they both feel like Mary Sue characters.

yeah he's a classic mary sue. it's odd however how he's a very kind and sensitive person yet also a perfect killer, look at when obito attacked him for instance he had a kunai through his temple in a millisecond,or in the third ninja war where he dispatched scores of ninja in seconds. itachi is of a similar mold too, although his facade of lies and his backstory makes him more interesting (as a character, power wise imo minato is a few levels above).

He is selfless as ****, that's a bit of a flaw, or it could be.

After that recent chapter he seems to be like the dad that says lame and awkward things at the wrong time.. most likely on purpose :snick:

Mary sue character until the end. The only flaw in his character is his decision to make his son a jinchuuriki and die. Granted, that's a fat one, but other than that, Kishimoto paints him like some kind of god.
