Minato overrated? Really??

okay, all bad names aside, i don't hate minato... But he's really overrated by his fans. Those feats he showed isn't enough to give sasuke problems, as for madara well i'd love to see him go toe to toe with a perfect susanoo...

I'd love to see how they touch him and neither Madara nor Sasuke use Susanoo all the time, when Minato could surprise them all the time with his speed especially when you know that Madara has no knowledge about Minato and one touch in close combat=dead

sasuke can trick him with a genjutsu just like he did to deidara and danzo... Did you watch the sasuke vs itachi fight? Sasuke was basically keeping up with itachi in genjutsu with just a sharingan. Besides it's not like minato will have his ftg kunai all over the battle field before the fight starts... So what happens when sasuke uses amaterasu even before minato could set his kunais up? What happens when sasuke burns all his ftg kunais with "blaze release magatama"?? What happens when madara pulls a meteorite? I know this isn't a minato vs sasuke or madara thread but we can't just say minato wins when he doesn't have enough feat to support that... That's what makes him "overrated".

Minato isn't as strong as senju, and isn't the strongest character period. He's still strong enough to wipe out some battlefields in entirety on his own though.

And besides, he's still the hottest character. So he gets all the ladies.

About Madaras meteor, have you not seen Minato being able to teleport TBB somewhere else with a space time barrier? He could actually do something like that. Even if he can't he can easily FTG somewhere else. It's an instant jutsu, forgotten?

Minato wouldn't know he's in a genjutsu till he starts seeing wield stuff or when he's been tortured with it mentally. just like danzo and deidara didn't notice... If they did they could've broken it so It's not like sasuke is gonna scream and say "hey i'm 'bout to trick you with a genjutsu"... It can be used without the victim realizing it. Sasuke purposely cast a weak genjutsu on danzo just to confirm he could be put under genjutsu not to mention that was ms sasuke so you can't base your judgement on that.
Minato doesn't have his ftg kunai everywhere he has to set them up first before he could teleport there.
Minato doesn't have enough chakra to teleport two meteorites 0_0
if he runs away then he auto loses the fight... I can remember minato fans saying he won against tobi because tobi retreated which i agreed to so yeah minato loses if he runs too. Fair game right?

I don't think anyone actually hates Minato directly but through his fanboys, I consider him top 10 of all time and top 5 hogake. People on NB try compare him to Nagato, Hashirama and such which get under people's skin but he's a very skilled ninja.

The guy was a talented ninja prodigy that only came around once in a generation, one of the most gifted shinobi who ever lived; and one of the strongest shinobi that ever existed. His intelligence is probably top 3-5 in the series, fastest shinobi ever (not sure if Naruto has surpassed him yet). He absolutely pwnd Tobi in less than 2 minutes, arguably with ease. So opponents stronger than Tobi would be given a good fight by Minato.

It's easy to overestimate him because of how he has been described, especially with an OP technique like FTG. But I think alot of people just like to hate on him because of the fans, considering he is one of the most likable characters you will see in the series, I find it strange that a good character like him can get so much hate. Because of this hate people like to underestimate him too, before everyone I knew, knew for a fact as the 4th he was > 3rd - now for some reason this is in doubt. People say he will be stomped by Itachi and Nagato when that isn't true at all, he could win or lose to either of the two.

I still believe he is one of the strongest in the series, top 10 for sure (even top 8 at the very least in my book). Plus people forget that we've only seen about 3 jutsu from Minato, I know for a fact that's not all he has to offer, yet people compare him to OP characters with tons of jutsu. Not all of Minato's true potential/all his abilities have been seen so I find it absurd when people unfairly say he can't do certain things or won't beat x or y characters, yet a bit of hype for one character ie Hashi and then everyone sways to that side.

I know for a fact he is one of the strongest and can be overrated in the most stupidest ways at times but also he is underrated in the most unfair ways too. I just hope people stop hating him so much just because of others actions.

Well he can be underrated but everyone has received a lot of false hype. Minato is very formidable and his powers and skills as a ninja rival that of Sasuke, Itachi, Muu, 2nd Mizukage and Killer Bee.
