Mianmen

Specked with open fields connected by paths and surrounded by forest, Mianmen is the site of the ruins of an ancient Uchiha Clan compound. Some from that clan have returned to the area after the Razing of Chungsu, reestablishing their presence there and beginning the long rebuilding process. Mianmen’s largest town, concerned by the influx of Uchiha ninja, has begun hiring mercenaries from smaller clans to protect what they perceive as their territory.

[Coming From Here]

Mission Objective:

Get answers about the history of the Uchiha clan

Ignia finally arrived to the famous landmark, going back hundreds of years for the history of the Uchiha. As he arrived, Ignia saw guards in the form of mercenaries, he didn't fancy drawing attention to himself, ducking behind a wall as two of them passed. He made his way around the other side of the building heading to the centre of the town where the former Uchiha Clan Compound had once stood strong.

It seemed as though it was being rebuilt by those that had returned. He would find answers to do with that later but what was most important was how things came to be this way. He made his way to the ruins at the centre of the town. He knew that there had been ancient scripts, tablets of rock which could only be read with the doujutsu itself. Well technically Ignia could too but there was a reason for that.

He slipped from building to building with his cloak up, blending with the crowds where needed, before reaching the temple. He made his way in. It seemed like it had become a form of tourist attraction in the years, what a joke. He made he way over and sat on a stone in the corner, blending into the shadows with his cloak as he looked around, thinking to himself:

"Has the clan really come down to this? What's so special about an old temple. Why would they have to hire people to protect there lands. What happened to the true strength they once held. I've seen it myself first hand. The clan became the embodiment of turning their own suffering into power.... that's what it meant to be an Uchiha.

It started with him...."

Ignia trailed off into his own thoughts, lost in a maze of his own memories. He needed answers, and he would get them one way or another.

Coming from: Fengchong (048).

While the profuse bleeding from his nose had all but stopped, and Shayde otherwise seemed fine, he still hadn't woken up. Hours had passed as Greed, assuming full control over their shared body, somewhat enjoyed the experience of walking by himself. While he certainly didn't dilly-dally, he wasn't moving at a snails pace either. Just before he lost consciousness, Shayde decided to utilize Librom's notes, and try to reconnect with his family, the closest being the Uchiha, here in Mianmen. And while he was more than capable of both finding what scattered remnants of the Uchiha may be gathered here, considering the Razing may have forced them to relocate further, Greed lacked the capacity to accurately portray Shayde, or really converse with anyone other than his host. First, how would a lost son of the Uchiha clan react? Sad? Perhaps not, if Librom's notes about their warmongering nature, and Shayde's own dour mood were indicators. And what of the Uchiha themselves? Their nature was well-renowned. They loved a fight... Even amongst their own, blood was freely spilled, all in the pursuit of further strength. That's how most other Uchiha awakened their Mangekyou Sharingan, at least according to Shayde. There was something else too, something Shayde mentioned, or maybe thought about a long time ago, but the exact nature of that reason eluded Greed for the moment. With all this in mind, it was best to wait for Shayde to awaken, but as time passed, the sentient appendage grew more and more worried. His heart was still beating, and there wasn't any obvious pain bar a particularly strong headache, but Shayde's "mind" was completely silent, still. If he were only dreaming, there would be some level of activity, but nothing? Greed reasoned that this wasn't natural.

While Shayde wasn't the most proficient with the field, Greed reasoned there was only one way to be sure. Taking "his" hands, one of which being his actual form, Greed concentrated, feeling the flow of Chakra through "his" body, and calmly, carefully directing it through his form, as well as Shayde's left arm, into the palm. As a soft pale blue glow enveloped the palms, Greed raised both to the sides of his head, and began scanning the vital organ. Various chemicals whose names escape the beasts lesser knowledge... Hormones that are as alien to him as human anatomy in general... Electrical currents that seemed to fluctuate and fire off randomly. There was the problem. The nosebleed was a sign that the brain had overloaded somehow, and the headache was the result. Somehow, Shayde's brain had been subjected to severe mental trauma. One of his last thoughts was about Genjutsu for some reason after all. Was he covertly attacked by an Illusion user? The answer would have to wait. He may have been just a beast, but even Greed could tell Shayde's brain was like that computer back in Fengchong, and needed assistance to, essentially, "reboot" after an abrupt shutdown. However it was damaged, it didn't matter, the answer would come soon enough. Bringing the hands back down, Greed began channeling more Chakra into them as a vibrant verdant green glow began to emanate from both. Placing the palms back up to either side of his head, Greed began healing the seemingly short-circuiting organ.

( Iryō Ninjutsu: Shōsen Jutsu ) - Medical Technique: Mystic Palm Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A (2x the amount of damage healed, 200 max)
Damage: N/A
Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by focusing chakra onto their hands, forming an aura of greenish chakra which he then sends into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. The limitation of the technique is that it cannot regrow missing body parts or remove with poisons or toxins, though it can heal damage by them. Additionally, perhaps its more severe drawback is the chakra cost, which is much higher than any other medical technique. For each damage point the user of the technique wishes to heal, he needs to spend twice as much chakra. Basically, for x amount of damage the user needs to spend 2x amount of chakra to repair/heal. The user can also use this technique on himself and it can be used with one hand or two and even in two targets at a time or while using another technique with the other hand. The speed of the healing is fast but not instant.

Note: Can be used on up to 2 targets.
Note: Can only be used by Medical Ninja.

Though at first there didn't seem to be any effect, after a moment there was a noticeable change, namely in the form of thought from Shayde himself. Seconds passed, and he seemed to be breathing manually now, something Greed had assumed control over, along with the more actively controlled aspect of the body. Whatever happened, if Greed wasn't there to "take over", Shayde would have no doubt died from whatever that was. As minutes passed, eventually Shayde came to, immediately and instinctively forcing control over the left arm, as Greed was not really fond of being used as a mere appendage, and cradled his aching skull. As he did, he abruptly broke the silence of the wilderness around him with an echoing shout;

"Who the ****'s been dancing on my head?! Sage of the Six, I feel like I just got hit by that damn Fox again!!"

"You okay?"

"What the hell happened?!"

"You don't remember? I was hoping you'd be able to answer that question."

Shayde took a moment to compose himself, resting control back to himself, as he found a nearby fallen tree to sit, and gather his thoughts. He remembered the vision of Librom within Otohime, returning to the facility in Fenchong, and there...

"Ah, shit."

"What? You remember?"

"Yup, and not just what happened to me."

"Come again?"

Taking a moment to recall all of the memories that bombarded him, trying his best not to recall them all at once, Greed immediately came to fully understand Shayde's own understanding of what occurred. Shayde was of the belief that, upon feeling sympathy for the countless souls trapped within Greed, and letting his guard down for just a moment, he experienced something similar to Librom's presumed interference within Fengchong, allowing access to his memories for both the password, and location of his laptop. Unfortunately, Shayde experienced this thousands, if not millions of times over, from those trapped souls, experiencing each and every one's life story at the same time. The sheer amount of information dumped upon him was far too much to bear, and thus, in response to the unfathomable amount of information it was presented with, his brain shut down, and he collapsed. While Greed's "attempt" to heal him was both amateurish, and not exactly expedient, it was preferable to being left in a coma to potentially die. Because they were simply part of his biology, like stored fat, this also explained why Greed was unaffected, which was a blessing in this case. To him, those people were nothing more than the things he ate, so of course he couldn't extrapolate memories from his dinner. Shayde on the other hand, being in the weird grey area between being one with the beast, yet still having his own mind, and probably more importantly, Chakra, probably allowed him to tap into that world. Chakra was a diverse tool, and initially intended to "connect" people after all... However, with, hopefully, that incident behind them, Greed explained to Shayde that, since he decided to use Librom's database to search out his parent's Clans, he took the initiative while Shayde was "indisposed", and walked to Mianmen, though was unsure about handling the actual arrival himself.

Shayde agreed that was probably the smartest thing Greed had ever done, considering the circumstances surrounding his parent's decision to move to Chungsu. They were, essentially, a pair of star-crossed lovers who met on the battlefields, from opposing sides; Uchiha and Uzumaki. Their love blossomed within, and was tempered by the heat of combat. Both were exiled when their love was discovered, and both clans independently decided to make an example out of them, resulting in an impromptu all out battle with all 3 parties. Though close, Shayde's parents were the only survivors. Both clans, believing the lovers had betrayed them, banished the pair, so with nowhere left to turn, they made a life for themselves in Chungsu. Shayde was reticent, but was also genuinely curious to see his Clan with his own eyes, regardless of the state they were in after the Razing.

After a short rest, and earnest attempt at recuperating after that horrific experience, Shayde made his way from the forested outskirts of Mianmen, and into the Landmark proper. As he crest over rolling hills, he saw a vast land with many flat fields, and some minor settlements here and there. These were not his goal. His was, apparently, an ancient compound that the Uchiha once inhabited, and had seen in the area of before the time of the Razing. There wasn't even any guarantee that there would be Uchiha within Mianmen, as he was operating off of data that was at least a decade old... But as he reached the horizon, he knew they had arrived. Though very much worn from countless campaigns waged long ago, this was most certainly it. Many cloths hung from walls and poles, proudly displaying the Uchiha crest. As he approached the gate, there were mercenaries loitering around the entrance, though they didn't appear to be for the compound's defense. Rather, they seemed like a motley crew of bandits, or maybe merc's. Probably looking for work, though the Uchiha probably could handle their own problems. Looking for a fight then... As Shayde began to enter, one began to approach, but as they saw his red right eye, they immediately recoiled in fear, drew Shayde a look of disgust, and reluctantly returned to their group. Looking for a fight, yet clearly not willing to engage in it themselves... Yup. Cowards.

Shayde entered the compound in earnest, and was immediately struck by the quaint sights and smells. Their reputation really didn't do them justice. Some within the compound began to stare, but simply went back to their own business after a moment. They were shopping, selling, conversing, all like regular people. Some didn't even appear to be armed, either because they felt their Ninja's military power was enough of a deterrent, or because they either chose, or through a lack of ability in Jutsu, lived as regular civilians. There was a Senbei shop, which, as Shayde passed, seemed to be rather popular. Other stalls and stores were just as popular, immediately dispelling the "Warmonger" perception he had of the Uchiha. And it was a somewhat welcome revelation.

As he wandered through the various streets, Greed was content to simply remain silent, and allow Shayde this brief respite, and chance to connect to his Clan. As he made his way towards the center of the compound, Shayde noticed a considerably larger congregation around a slightly larger, more ornate, but not gauche building. The style was indicative of a place of worship, though not of the fanatical, or really "religious" sort. That was more for those lunatics of Jashin. Less worship then, and more like reverence then? But to what? Shayde's mother didn't tell him of any singular belief system for the Uchiha. Was this a new development for the Clan? A coping mechanism after what happened to Chungsu, and the Freehold in it's entirety? Maybe... It was time for a closer look. Joining the crowd entering the building, Shayde couldn't see anything of particular within the interior. Perhaps he needed a better angle, or to get closer to whatever was on the other side of the large hall? Waiting as the crowd slowly filtered through the room, he took the opportunity to simply lose himself amongst the crowd, listening to the various goings-on within Mianmen, and the compound specifically. Someone was talking to their friend about that Senbei shop. Apparently it was one of the best delicacies within the Uchiha Clan, thanks to a secret recipe, passed down through the generations. Greed was quirk to chirp in, using his mental link to Shayde to sarcastically comment that the trip wouldn't be a total waste if he got a couple. Shayde laughed, and responded that that'd be what was on his mind. Rubbing his still somewhat aching head, Shayde agreed that he could probably go for one or two himself.

Ignia snapped out of his own maze of thoughts as though a bucket of water had been thrown over him as he felt it. He wasn't sure what he felt but it couldn't possibly be what he thought. His pinpoint sensory allowed him to feel life itself and spiritual entities alike. What he felt was like a entire legion of souls bound into one place approaching the very place he sat. This power was bound to another with, what could be considered a high chakra. Ignia had to check this out.

Ignia was like his father in many ways but also unique in his own. The dragons had passed into myth for the most part but the stories told of their greed to hoard riches, protecting such things until their very death. This wasn't completely inaccurate but it wasn't so literal. The dragons held the value of knowledge above all else. That's what they protected, the ancient ways of the world, choosing who they would pass this too. A trait that Ignia had acquired himself in the form of a thirst for knowledge. In this scenario he had to understand what he could sense, what he could feel. He was old beyond the count of mortal years but even he had never felt such a thing.

Raising to his feet, he stuck to the outside of the temple, trying to find a place where he could witness the one he'd sensed. That's when they entered. It made the very air of the room feel thicker. Ignia caught the red glow of the eye as the man entered. An Uchiha. But that was the lesser chakra he'd felt. The imposing mass of souls was coming from his body, his arm. With his Rinnegan he could even see the two separate chakras. He made his way closer to the individual. They seemed to be looking for something themselves.

Ignia waited for his opportunity. He kept to the edge of the room waiting for the man to go to a more suited position. He stopped to get food it would seem. Ignia waited behind the pillar, the opposite side to the man, feeling where he was moving waiting for him to pass by before activating his Human path, extending his right arm from behind the man, place it on his forehead as he pulled the man around to the other side of the pillar out of sight. With the contact to the man's head made, he began reading his very thoughts, entering the man's mind forcefully to gain answers.

"Who are you? What are you? Tell me everything you know.... break this contact and you will die.... show me what you know of the Uchiha.... show me the depths of your mind...."

With that he swept over the man's thoughts....

( Ningendō ) - Human Path
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description: The user activates the Human Path which grants a Rinnegan user the ability to read the mind of any target by placing his hand on the target's head or chest and yanking the soul out of the body. Though it provides intel by getting well guarded secrets, the technique inevitably kills the target. In the Ninja World, this technique partially draws the target's soul out, leaving them unconscious.
Note: Can only be used by Rinnegan biographies with access to the Six Paths Ability.

( Ningendō: Maindo-sō Anaohoru ) - Human Path: Mind Layer Burrow
Type: Offensive - Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: Through the use of the Human path, the user will touch the opponent's head and then, using the ability to read their mind, will enter their opponents mind and temporarily stun the opponent. By absorbing some of their chakra, the user is able to cause some minor damage to their mental state and their spiritual chakra and even draw it out of their body ( much like how the soul removal technique works, showing a clear pale chakra shape of the target). This inital mental damage causes the opponent to be able to perform only two techniques the following turn.
Note: Can only be used through the Human path.

Lost in thought of tearing into a deep-fried rice cracker or two, Shayde couldn't have noticed the man approaching from the shadows, even without his appearance shrouded in a cloak. As he was plucked from the accumulated mass of people, and into the dark corners of the building, Shayde caught a brief glimpse of the man responsible for the sudden yank into the unknown, fiery hair, and eyes of such a unique pattern, purplish-grey ripples with distinct rings, that Shayde could scarcely believe it, before all went blank, and a hand passed over his sight, and rest atop his head. The next thing he knew, a voice was invading his very existence, demanding he divulge his identity, nature, and that of the Uchiha in their entirety, to the best of his knowledge. Not that he had any other choice, as he almost felt like he wanted to, but if he didn't, or if he attempted to break contact with the man, he would die. Could be a bluff.... But those eyes... And the ability to assert his will, and dominance over him so easily, through mere contact... Shayde had a feeling this was no minor bluff. Though he tried to keep certain facts about himself secret, mostly those involving his right arm, and his parentage, he could help himself from following the command.

"My name is Shayde Uchiha... I'm a former Shinobi of the Freehold, and Chungsu specifically, though since the Razing, I have operated as a free agent... While I was raised as an Uchiha, I was born in Chungsu, and have never considered myself to be among their members, due to certain factors regarding my birth... As for... My... Nature..."

Despite how hard Shayde tried to fight it, the man would suddenly find himself thrust into that "inner world" contained within Greed. Countless bodies melded together into a singularity, moving in unison with one another, seemingly entirely drowned within an ocean of blood. Where once there were screams of agony, now a harmonic resonance echoes throughout the space. Ignia would also be able to see countless tools, weapons, and items of various natures scattered throughout the dimension, all of which could be "regurgitated", as they were not completely part of this beast's biomass. He would then have flashes of Shayde's past thrust upon him, from his childhood training with his parents, to the incident that took his arm, to the Razing, and finally his arrival in Otohime.

"When I was a child, I was kidnapped and taken to a facility in Fengchong. It now lies in ruins. There, a scientist by the name of Librom was conducting unethical experiments with a mass of flesh that constitutes the entirety of my right arm, and part of the right side of my shoulder, and torso. It has two unique biological quirks, the first being having a nebulous form that can be changed into my shapes, and the other being it can flawlessly replicate solid materials it devours. Librom implanted it's DNA within my arm, and allowed it to be devoured to a certain degree, before applying muscle relaxants to halt it's progress, and study the effects. It lay dormant until I awoke, where I then had a choice. Escape, or die. Between me and Greed, we escaped, and killed the doctor. I believe it to be a beast from Tobusekai, known in ancient texts as Rāga. From scattered accounts, it was said to be a great serpent, destined to swallow the world whole. The only thing it knew was hunger, and sought to free itself from it. But that was before. Since it was implanted, I originally resorted to using Sealing Techniques to contain it, but after spending time within the Land of Iron, we came to a mutual understanding, and now his presence is less of a hindrance, and more of a blessing, especially in moments like this, as he is autonomous to an extent."

The man would soon know what that meant, but within his subconscious, Shayde continued.

"As for the Uchiha Clan, I know very little about them in their current state. What little I knew before coming here was that they were renowned for their Fire Release, and Dōjutsu, the Sharingan, as well as their apparent bloodthirsty and warmongering nature. My mother told me tales of their ferocity in times of War. They would slaughter everyone, from the elders, to the women, and even the children. This has been solidified in countless tales of War since the creation of the Freehold, with one of the worst being the great war between the Uchiha and Senju that took place in Year 581. Thanks to a trade agreement between the Uchiha and their long-time allies, the Hagoromo Clan, in addition to an ongoing lack of supplies, the Senju were driven to desperation, attacking the Hagoromo Clan. With nothing but a slap on the wrist from the Freehold itself, the Uchiha were quick to respond, retaliating by engaging in mass slaughter of their own. Since then there have been smaller outbursts and the like, though it was finally quashed for the most part when both Clans were defeated by Aléxandros Mégas. Since then, there has always been a feud, though not on the levels they once were. My parents met during one such battle..."

Before Shayde could continue, a gentle, but stern fist was firmly placed on the man's shoulder. Though Shayde was currently subjected to Ignia's technique, Greed on the other hand was not. Though the two were connected, Greed was not affected by techniques that specify singular targets, which in this case was clearly Shayde. This meant that, while Shayde was under the influence of the Mind-Reading technique, Greed on the other hand was free to do as he pleased, insisting that the stranger who just assaulted him and his host remove his hand. His tone, while clearly aggressive, was restrained and muted so as to not draw any attention to the pair. That would no doubt cause more problems, and this man seemed like the type to just kill Shayde and leave, if he was brazen enough to snatch him from a crowd in the first place.

You must be registered for see images

"Kindly stop doing what you're doing, and remove your hand. P l e a s e ."

The words were emphasized, not for drama, or sarcasm, but as a sincere request from a being to whom the word meant very little. Shayde's skin began to distort as a number of eyes slowly opened across the right side of his face, staring directly at the man. Their gaze, while not nearly as intimidating as a Sharingan would potentially be, they were enough to give Ignia a sense for the beast's true nature, incidentally confirming Shayde's confession within the mind-reading technique.

"He's been through a lot, physically, mentally and emotionally in the last few days,
so I would really appreciate it if you didn't screw with his head right now."

The intent was clear. Greed would protect Shayde at any cost. Despite it's original nature as a beast, Shayde's words rang true. There was indeed an understanding, and bond, between them. Perhaps not as friends, or master and pet, though the desire to protect him like the latter would the former was clearly on display. Whether the mysterious figure complied with the request or not was a penny in the air. It could land on either heads or tails. Greed was willing to roll on that dice though, as Shayde's life was, literally, in the palm of this man's hand... Given that, the best thing to do would probably be forthright, even if Shayde said to never reveal himself to others, intentionally or otherwise.

Ignia felt the emotions flow through the man as he read his thoughts. He ventured through the man's mind the story unfolded of the Uchiha in these parts but it mainly focused on the weapon that now clung to the man's arm. The legend of it consuming so much would explain the countless souls he could feel flowing through it. It seemed the Uchiha clan hadn't really been what Ignia expected. If only the man knew. Ignia was a product of Uchiha and Senju, going back long before the records spoke. He had the body and spirit of the Senju and the occular power of the Uchiha. When combined he unlocked the key the bridged both life and death, the closest there would be to the Sage of the Six paths. The man that educated the world, but also gave the tools for the wars that had ensued through the ages. The damage to this very temple proof of that.

So the war had carried on, through the ages to this point. Ignia couldn't believe it. They just never learned. It would seem as though neither clan had the upper hand but as the man spoke something echoed in Ignia's mind. Seeing the memories of Shayde triggered a memory of own, one that he must of blocked away. Due to his connection with Shayde, while he read his mind, the images from Ignia's memories would echo in his head....

His mind burned as a red dragon swept over a settlement, releasing endless flames, engulfing the entire town, jumping from roof to roof. Cries filled the air as the smoke blocked out the light from the moon. It was night time. Shinobi tried to attack the dragon but it moved too quickly. An ethereal warrior formed shooting an arrow towards the dragon which passed his right shoulder. The dragon swept down on the location smashing into the ethereal warrior with tremendous force. Smoke filled the air with a pillar of fire. As it cleared the dragon was gone, so was the warrior. From the flames emerged a figure... a single man. Ignia.

From here it was flashing memories of Ignia killing foe after foe. It was the Uchiha clan. Their eyes glowed red in the night, going out like red stars in the sky as each one fell, one after the other. The fire began to close in around, claiming the town and scorching the entire land, removing it from history. Fire filled both their minds before the image changed. [Referencing my old Uchiha Massacres]

Ignia was back at the temple, but it wasn't the here and now. This was long ago, before the raising of the temple. He made his way towards a door, cutting down any that tried to stop him, heading down a passageway. Along it were images of the Uchiha of old, along with one of the greatest threats, Madara Uchiha in his prime. Ignia walked down it towards a tablet at the end....

The image faded as the voice of Greed spoke. Asking Ignia to remove his hand. It took Ignia a second before he realised what was actually going on in reality. He didn't release his grip.

"What did you do to me!!"

He tightened his grip, a bead of sweat ran down his face. Locking eyes with Shayde out of sight. He was trying to gather himself.

"How ... that was me... i know it was.... i remember.... how could i forget though.... the blood.... they had to be stopped... why did i.... even the children...."

He loosened his grip, keeping his hand on the man's head though, he needed to ask one more thing.

"This temple was left in ruins.... were the foundations below the earth in tact? Was anything ever found there?"

RP here has to be invalidated.

I hate to do this, but you're currently roleplaying with an unapproved biography in the Ninja World. Examining your Ignia shows it to be a completely new character. And since the biography isn't approved yet pretty clearly would exclude it from RP in the NW. If necessary, you can refresh yourself on the rules found here. As the essence of your character, defined as the history, appearance, and other traits left up to moderator discretion, has changed then it entails a full reset in the Ninja World. This biography cannot be used in the NW until after it has been approved. It isn't an 'update' as if you're updating the same character.

This also means that the mission you submitted on Wednesday is invalidated. The roleplaying done in the mission inherently makes no sense from a storyteller's point of view; changing your bio's essence, even if you attempt to roleplay it off in the Ninja World as kinjutsu won't let you circumvent the rules involving changing your bio, updating it, etc. So as far as I'm concerned, Ignia and Tsuna are two different biographies. The rule regarding the essence of a character is there for a reason, and shouldn't just be circumvented for convenience's sake.

He'd finally arrived. Stood on the border of the land Magnus looked on at the land from his past, his home. Something about it resonated through him, the very smell in the air struck at him as his memories from his childhood flooded through him. He stood now on the road he'd travelled down many times in his youth. He could feel something pulling against him, telling him to turn back, that he wasn't ready. For a man who had been through so much, done so much, it was a strange feeling. He'd avoided these lands since he'd left with Inshi so many years ago. It was time to put the feelings to rest....

Mission Objective:

- Investigate the history of a landmark / Investigate bio's history in the landmark.

Making his way into the main town, Magnus kept his hood up, blending with the crowds as best he could. Right now he felt on edge, that he wouldn't control his own actions. Bandit's had been hired around these parts to try and deter Uchiha from returning to what was once their home. If they confronted Magnus, he was sure to end their lives without hesitation the way he felt in this moment. He headed to a familiar part of the town, one where he'd spend many years as a kid, his father's blacksmith shop.

He stopped in the street looking on, the smoke rose from the chimney of the forge, someone was working there, in his fathers shop. He clenched his fist before, anger boiled his very blood. He took a deep breath before making his way forwards, breathing out slowly trying to calm himself as he knocked on the door entering, calling out for who was in there. From around the corner came an older man, maybe 60 years old, older ever. He had a look to him of a grafter, one that had worked all his life, his hands rough, his skin dirty from being in the forge so much.

????: Can i help you young man?

Magnus was lost for words for a second, he hadn't thought ahead of entering here and part of it left him in shock. After a few moments he came to his senses.

Magnus: Oh yeah, sorry, i have this sword i'd like you to take a look at, it might need sharpening a bit....

He drew from his side a blade, as he drew it, clouds formed as a rumble could be heard, a storm surrounded the Rain Sword, he passed it to the man. He examined it thoroughly before looking sceptically at Magnus.

????: An interesting sword. One of a time forgotten it would seem. Not a blade i'm personally familiar with, but it would seem you have the skill to wield it. I can sharpen this for you, in fact it would be my pleasure....

Magnus: Thank you... this is quite the forge you have here, how long have you had it?

Magnus wanted to know how his fathers shop had ended up in the hands of this man without being too obvious. The man eyed him up for a moment before taking the sword over the the grinding stone. He sent it down and began to step on a pedal constantly to cause the stone to rapidly rotate before slowly placing the sword on it....

????: I took over this shop about.... lets see.... 10 years ago? Maybe more. It had been empty for a couple of years before that.... since the incident with...you know i can't remember his name.... the Uchiha....

Magnus: Hizen.... his name was Hizen....

He couldn't help himself, interrupting the man. He took the sword off the grinder looking around at Magnus with a questioning look on his face.

Magnus: I erm.... heard about the incident a few years back.... he caused the trouble in the town square right? Killed quite a few people.... so... he owned this forge?

The man looked at him for a moment before going back to sharpening the blade while speaking.

????: Indeed. Seeing his wife killed before him drove him over the edge, he cut down most the guards before his body gave out. I can't imagine what seeing that would do to a man.... anyway, he had this forge years ago with a friend i was told, though his friend went missing around the time of the incident.... some assumed he ran away before he was punished for Hizen's actions.... others assumed he worked with him and escaped before people found out... though i don't personally care for rumours.... he used to have another helper, his boy... he hasn't been seen since that day either.... lord knows what happened to him...

Magnus felt strange, hearing how the events had unfolded from someone else. He'd been there, he'd seen his mother killed, he'd seen his father give his life so he could escape with Inshi.

Magnus: I wonder.... i guess with no one to run the forge it was left, a great chance for you take over it? I'm surprised it wasn't destroyed after what he did....

????: Destroyed? Nah. They couldn't afford to. Hate him as they might, Hizen built a great business through this place and helped form trade with surrounding lands. They tried to get people in to keep in running but no one had the skill that he once did. In the end i took over.... i try my best, it does the job, but i don't think i'll ever be to his level.... hmmm.... needs a bit of heat

He muttered the last bit to himself before taking the blade to the forge, stoking it, and heating the blade before bringing the hammer down on it, and back to grinding and cooling.

Magnus: What happened to them? Hizen and his wife... after they died.... where did they get taken? Can't imagine they would have been too happy...

????: Honestly, i'm not sure. I expected them to do some form of public display of the bodies to make a point, but the one behind it all died that day too along with most of his supporters. With those who took order, i think they were just taken to that compound... the one rebuilt for the Uchiha... ah that should do it...

He turned with the blade that shone with a new gleam passing it back to Magnus. As he did he met his gaze.

????: Pain scars the soul.... they say eyes are gateway to soul... wouldn't you agree....

In that moment Magnus saw it, the man's eyes flashed red.... Uchiha....

Magnus couldn't believe it, the person who had taken over his father's shop was another of the Uchiha clan. Was it simply coincidence or that this man intentionally took over for that reason? Magnus wanted to ask but he felt rude in doing so and having his blade sharpened, he felt he'd asked enough already. Instead it was time for him to make his way from here, he needed to go to somewhere he'd avoided for years, his parent's graves.

He told the smith he would return later and made his way through the town to the outskirts, heading towards the compound which was being rebuilt. As he approached though he saw a group of three. He could tell by their attire (that as clearly stolen as it was mismatched) that these three were probably part of the bandits that had been hired to deter the Uchiha. Magnus wasn't going to stop, not now, he'd come too far. He kept walking forwards as the three turned to face him, blocking his path. The middle one spoke.

Bandit: ahhhh look at this one.... who does he think he is.... what do you want kid?

Magnus didn't speak, instead he placed his hand on the handle of the storm sword.

Bandit: What do we have here.... one that wants to fight us? Oh would you look at that handle... looks like a nice blade does that.... how about you hand it over kid and we will let you pass....

Magnus: How about you take the shrapnel from your sheathes that you call blades and place them firmly in your chest so i don't have to waste my time dirtying my blade....

The three stopped laughing and glared at him, before the center one spoke again.

Bandit: They sound like fighting words....

Before he could continue talking, Magnus held up his free hand pointing his index finger at the head of the one to the left releasing a single bullet of light, piercing his skull, followed by doing the same to the one on the left, hitting them both, killing them in an instant, before they knew what had happened to them. Placing his hand back by his side as the bodies fell to the ground. Magnus took a step forwards towards the one remaining. His face gaunt with fear, the remaining bandit took a step back, he was in shock.

(Pikauton: Ama no Iwato) Light Release: Cave of Heaven Rock
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: D-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10-40
Damage: 20-80
Description: This technique is the basic application for Light Release, allowing the user to create various constructs of light. The shape and size of the light constructs are limited only by the user's imagination and the amount of power fueled into the technique; constructs cannot exceed the size of any canon jutsu of the same rank applied. Weapons, shields, barriers, projectiles: you name it and users can make it. These constructs can be produced from the user's body or within the air around them, but cannot be made within short-range of the opponent unless they too are in short-range. Consisting of pure light, the user can mold these constructs to appear as they please to attempt to fool enemies, though they can only manipulate the appearance of the technique through controlling the light it emits.

Note: B-rank Light Release techniques can be made through the formation of a single handseal. A-rank requires the usage of three handseals. S-rank requires the usage of four handseals, and can only be used every other turn. S-rank usage prevents the activation of any other Light Release jutsu in the same turn and no Light above A-rank next turn after using.

Bandit: What did you.... what are you.... why are you here?

Magnus smiled as he continued to walk forwards

Magnus: You know, you can help me with that... now.... why don't we have a little chat....

As he spoke his eyes began to spin red, showing his three tomoe sharingan as he made eye contact with the remaining bandit. With that he was bound in his illusion under his control:

Illusion

The last remaining bandit would find him bound to a pillar by chains unable to move as Magnus slowly walked around him spinning a kunai on his right index finger. As he walked he spoke.

Mangus: So, you seem to be the one calling the shots... what do you know about these parts? About the Uchiha clan?

The bandit struggled against his restraints to no avail, his mind controlled by Magnus.

Bandit: Let me go... i'm not going to tell you anth..... ahhhhh

As he tried to spike Magnus stabbed the man in the leg with the kunai he'd been spinning, pulling it back out as he continued to walk around him.

Magnus: Want to try that again?

Bandit: I don't know anyth.... ahhhhhh

Magnus stabbed him once more.

Magnus: I don't like being lied to ...

The bandit was sweating now as he winced with pain.

Bandit: What do you care? Most of your people have been pushed out of these lands for years....

In that instance, Magnus was in front of the man, clutching his throat tight, his body shaking with anger as his eyes burned red with rage.

Magnus: My parents were murdered here and i want to know.... where to find.... the ones who did it... i want to make them suffer like i did.... i want to tear down this falsehood that these pathetic vermin have where they believe this is THEIR home alone.... now i'll ask you once more.... if you like your life.... i'd answer....

He released his hand allowing the man to cough and choke for breathe before he spoke.

Bandit: Look i don't know much.... i'm just paid to make sure the Uchiha don't return here... the guy in charge... he took over when he was 18.... a few years after his dad died in a weird way....

Magnus interrupted snappily.

Magnus: What's his name?!?!

Bandit: I... erm.... i know i've heard it... he is the one that ordered for bandit's to be here.... Raizu.... his name was Raizu.... he hates the Uchiha... wants them all dead... has done for years... blames them for the death of his father.... along with a boy.... ****.... erm he said he we ever saw a boy with red in his hair to kill..... on... site....

Magnus smiled....

Bandit: Y... you..... b but why?

Magnus: Because that's how scared men act.... he's the reason my parent's died all those years ago.... and he knows if i live.... he wont.... thank you for the information... now one last thing.... how many guard the compound?

Bandit: None... well... not usually.... they generally believe that any that go there aren't to be messed with... seeing it as a dark place from the past.... c... can i go now....

Magnus smiled.

Magnus: Of course....

( Doujutsu: Sharingan ) Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - A Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 - 30 ( -5 per turn for 1T and 2T, 10 per turn to keep active for 3T )
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill
Note: C rank usage is for 1T Sharingan, B rank usage is reserved for 2T Sharingan. A Rank usage is reserved for 3T Sharingan.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

( Doujutsu: Genjutsu Sharingan ) - Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye Illusion
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15 - 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is simply the use of generic genjutsu used by members of the Uchiha clan. By simply having their opponents look into their eyes, the Uchiha can lock the user within a genjutsu of their choosing.
Note: Can only be used with 3 tomoe sharingan

Magnus released the illusion as the man slumped to the floor. It may have been an illusion but the mental exhaustion left behind was enough to wear him out. He caught his breath with a sigh of relief. It would be short lived though. As Magnus drew the storm sword cutting his head clean off in one swing.

Magnus: That's for deterring my clan and trying to lie to me...

Magnus then controlled the earth around the bodies to spiral inwards, crushing the corpses, burying them for him. With that he made his way towards the compound to find even more answers from his past. No one would stop him.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Ox → placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them in a mayhem of jagged rocks. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to a large area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

Having interrogated the mercinaries trying to keep him away, Magnus finally arrived at the old Uchiha compound. He made his way in into the rebuilt structure, asking for directions as he found his way to what he'd waited so long to see, his parent's graves. He had been so set on his goal that he'd failed to take in the scenery around him. Now stood here he looked up around the compound. It was nothing worth shouting about. It was basically an after thought to what had once been a great clan.

This felt like an insult to Magnus, to his family. Since he'd left this place, he'd trained hard, embraced his heritage and it had cost him everything. Now he stood here alone looking on at his parent's graves, an stone with their name. It was a cheap piece. And they wanted to call this a memorial. It was an insult. He couldn't help himself, anger filled his veins as he got up walking away. He went looking around the complex for any sign of anything that might help him.

He walked along looking at the carvings in the wall, it was nothing of note, just decorative crap, making it seem like this place was important. The more he walked around he felt this was just a tourist attraction. It was an insult to what his parents had died for....

He'd do something about this....

Let's try this again, shall we? ( '-')

Though at first there didn't seem to be any effect, after a moment there was a noticeable change, namely in the form of thought from Shayde himself. Seconds passed, and he seemed to be breathing manually now, something Greed had assumed control over, along with the more actively controlled aspect of the body. Whatever happened, if Greed wasn't there to "take over", Shayde would have no doubt died from whatever that was. As minutes passed, eventually Shayde came to, immediately and instinctively forcing control over the left arm, as Greed was not really fond of being used as a mere appendage, and cradled his aching skull. As he did, he abruptly broke the silence of the wilderness around him with an echoing shout;

Shayde was reticent, but was also genuinely curious to see his Clan with his own eyes, regardless of the state they were in after the Razing, or, really, their opinion of him, or his family.

As soon as he entered he was immediately struck by the quaint sights and smells. Their reputation really didn't do them justice. Some within the compound began to stare, but simply went back to their own business after a moment. They were shopping, selling, conversing, all like regular people. Some didn't even appear to be armed, either because they felt their Ninja's military power was enough of a deterrent, or because they either chose, or through a lack of ability in Jutsu, lived as regular people. There was a Senbei shop, which seemed to be rather popular, and Shayde was inclined to agree. Other stalls and stores wereset up, and just as busy, immediately dispelling the "Warmonger" perception he had of the Uchiha. And while it was completely not what he was expecting, it was a welcome revelation. Maybe they had changed since the Razing? He was certainly "humbled" by that experience...

Dropping a couple gold coins down on the counter of the Senbei shop, Shayde grabbed up two, and began tearing into one, "palming" the other for Greed to eat discreetly. As they walked away from the store, the woman manning the counter happily thanked him for his business, swiftly pocketing the bundle of coins before another customer got ideas.

"How much did you give her?"

"Didn't know how much they cost, so I just gave her the spare change in my pockets."

"And how much was that?"

"Dunno. Couple hundred Ryo?"

"I think you overpaid."
Greed snorted, before tearing into his own, with a mouth formed hidden within Shayde's sleeve.
"Actually, never mind. You owe that woman more money."

Shayde stifled a chuckle, as it would have been out of place to start laughing unprompted, especially since he was a stranger on his own in this place. They really were something though, these baked rice cakes. Crispy, but also light and fluffy, with just a hint of cinnamon to imbue it with an irresistibly sweet aroma, and a scent well associated with a roaring fire around the holidays. A clever trick, someone from a Clan well known for their fire seasoning their treats with something that so easily establishes a connection to that same element through a cultural norm. But there was another more glaring aspect to the woman running the shop, and that was her scarlet skin. In fact, upon closer inspection, almost everyone had some visible form of "scar" or marking. While his first thought was of a "brand", he quickly dispelled that notion, as it appeared to be more akin to a rash than an actual burn. He did his best not to pry, or make it too obvious, but with a few rounds through the compound, bringing his hands close enough to diagnose people as he passed, despite his shortcomings in the field of Medicine, even Shayde could tell this was some form of fever, or rash. And despite only being a half hour since his arrival in the compound, Shayde himself had seemingly caught this ailment. Already he had begun to feel drained, physically and mentally, as though this wasn't some common cold. Something about this didn't sit well with Shayde, but he didn't know what this was, or more importantly, even approach treating it, whatever it was. There were more variables involved than just it and him after all, such as his "passenger". There was no telling what either Greed catching, or being treated for this feverish rash would result in, and Shayde wasn't about to start playing with medicine to find out. Shayde made a mental note to keep an eye on this rash, it's effect on his system, and it's spread in general. For now, however, he returned to his window shopping, and appreciation of the Uchiha clan compound.

This post marks the start of a Mission, using the following Story Element;

Explore the history of something. (3)

Summary: As he wanders through the Uchiha Compound of Mianmen, Shayde comes across a stall run by an elder Uchiha with no eyes. While at first their interaction is awkward, Shayde decides to learn more about this man's past.

Wiping the lingering crumbs from his person, the only remnants of his aromatic snack, Shayde continued to wander through the Uchiha compound without a purpose beyond simply immersing himself in his Clan's presence. And though he received occasional side-glances, and blatant glares from some, if he noticed at all, he simply responded with an awkward smile, and got on with his business. From one shop to the next, time and time again, he noted the lack of "militarization" that he was expecting. From his mothers stories, and stories in general about them in general, Shayde was expecting the majority of these stores to sell weapons, tools, and other instruments of war, and while there were a few, there weren't nearly enough to warrant the persona they had been given over the years. Perhaps it was all an act, but through his eyes, the Uchiha were just like everyone else. People trying to survive in a world full of Demon Foxes, Vengeful Goddesses, and unknown plagues that sought to end them, and their way of life.

Roughly an hour into his aimless wandering, and endless window shopping, Shayde came across a small clothes stall, run by an elderly gentleman whose eyes were closed shut. As he perused through the honestly slapdash wares, he noticed the man was not paying the slightest bit of attention to him. Was he asleep? Was he that unconcerned with his stock that he'd fall asleep while trying to sell them? Shayde waited a moment to see if the man would eventually acknowledge his presence, but nothing. He began to more closely inspect the clothes, and again, no response. Seeing him in this state, Shayde felt a pang of guilt strike him, so he cleared his throat loud enough for the man to hear, and immediately he sprang to life.

"Whaa?! Who's there? If you rascals are playing pranks again, I'll beat your hides!!"

With a ginger step back, barely avoiding the swipe of a cane the old man had hidden at his side, Shayde immediately put the elder's fears of mischief to rest. And while his tone was sincerely apologetic, his choice of words could not have been worse...

"Whoa, easy there old timer, you might put someone's eye out with that thing!!"

"Haha, very funny, whoever you are. Come to laugh at the poor, old blind man, eh?"

"Huh? What're you talking about, you almost hit me with tha-!!"

Shayde immediately caught his error. Upon closer inspection, the man had not been sleeping, as his eyes were perpetually shut. They were entirely hollow, as though no "eyes" were to be found behind the lids, causing them to appear sunken. That pang of guilt then rapidly expanded to sheer embarrassment at his previous exclamation.

"Oh... I'm sorry, I didn't realize."

"Sure you didn't. Which one of those brats put you up to this, eh? Was it Sadao? That little bastard loves messing with me?"

"I swear, no one put me up to anything. I just got into town, and was doing a bit of shopping, and I was curious about your stall is all, honest."

"Then you're a liar too, eh? No one in their right mind would want any of this crap. Even guys like me need to make a living somehow, and I refuse to become a beggar just because of something as trivial as my lack of sight."

"Then it's your lucky day. I don't think I have a right mind. Maybe a couple of left, but definitely no rights here."

The old man had to stifle a laugh, though it failed and came out as a haggard cough. Clearly he was just as worse off as everyone else here because of that mysterious fever, but he was still just like everyone else; living in spite of it. If he could drop a few hundred on simple baked goods, the least he could do for this old man was buy something of his, even if they weren't the "nicest" clothes.

"Let me make it up to you. How much for... Hmm..."

Shayde dug around through the haphazard mess of clothes, and pulled out the nicest looking thing he could find; a simple white robe.

"How much for this? White robe, black Tomoe around the collar?"

"Shit, that was in there?! Sorry, not for sale."

"Why not?"

"It's mine."

"... Isn't everything here?"

"Not like that, you little prick. It's mine, and it's not for sale. One of those little bastards probably put it in there..."

"Well it's pretty cool. Did you make it yourself?"

"No. My wife did, and it's the only thing I have left to remember her by..."

"Sorry to hear that... What happened?"

"You really don't know, do you?"

"Nope. Like I said, new in town. Want to tell me about it?"

"I dunno..."

"If you tell me your story, I'll buy anything you've got here, for everything I've got in my wallet."

"I've heard this one before. Lemme guess, your wallet's empty?"

"On any other day, you'd be right old timer, but not today.
Think I'm just a few Ryo shy of a thousand. Your choice, take it or leave it."

The old shop keep almost fell from his chair with that number, while some of the vendors within earshot recoiled in jealousy, and an almost predatory instinct to leap to the young man's side to peddle their wares. Either this youngster was pulling his leg, or he really wasn't in his right state of mind. After a few moments of rubbing his chin, he left out a hearty laugh, and pulled a second chair out from behind the stall.

"You're alright kid. Names' Shino, take a seat."

"I'm almost 30, gramps..."

"Whatever... Now, my tale... Hmm. I guess it's easiest to say my eyes were stolen, though there's more to it than just that."

Shayde flinched when he heard that this man had been a victim of a more personal theft than expected, but still accepted the seat nonetheless. There was a dreaded sense of foreboding in just those words alone, but this old man was clearly an interesting individual. So Shayde happily accepted the mans invitation to listen to his tale.

"To explain the tale of my eyes, first I need to tell you about the kind of man I used to be... I was... Well, in a word, brash. In my youth, there was no fight I wouldn't charge into, no matter the consequences, odds, whatever. I didn't always come away without a few licks, but I gave them just as much as they gave me."

"Who's they?"

"Who else, boy? The enemy, no matter who they were!! Senju and their treacherous ilk, bandits and mercs who felt like causing trouble, even other Uchiha, if they stepped out of line, or got too big for their britches."

"Oh..."

Shayde was reminded of the Uchiha's lifelong feud with the Senju, and how, after their betrayal, and the destruction of their allies, the Hagoromo Clan, it caused untold havoc on both them, and the surrounding lands, and was a rivalry that perpetuated to this very day. With Shayde quiet once more, Shino continued his tale.

"Anyway, I was an idiot back then, but that's just what you do when you're full of piss and vinegar, and have all the power in the world. Or at least, you think you do... Eventually it was getting to be too much for me. Stared death in the face one time too many, so I decided I'd try and find a girl, settle down, start a family. You know. 'Old people stuff'? And I did just that. Got married, had a kid, the works. But that old life... It has a habit of following you. One day I woke up to some old pals knocking on my door, looking for help with a 'job'. Tried telling them that I wasn't about that life any more, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. Played the 'friend' card pretty hard, so I agreed on the condition that it was the last time. Turns out some Senju had set up a camp close to our territory, so we were going to teach 'em a lesson, despite the pseudo-ceasefire the Freehold was trying to enforce at the time. Anyway, I won't lie, it wasn't pretty. In fact... It was a massacre... They weren't even Shinobi, just people from the Senju Clan. I'm not proud of it, but things were still tense back in those days, and anger got the better of me. We did the deed, and left, but like I said. That life... It has a way of coming back to bite you. Turns out not only were they not Shinobi, they were on their way to meet some hotshot Daimyō-like official from Tobusekai. They were on their way to broker some kind of deal between the Senju and this unknown "Royal", and one of them was a little girl who'd been promised to the Royals son through an arranged marriage. When the Royal found out, he used his considerable power and influence to find those responsible, myself included, and make us pay."

"So he took your eyes?"

"Of course not, you idiot. That'd be barbaric, especially for an outsider. No, he had a more direct form of repayment in mind. He looked at every guilty party's family, and decided that we would bring far more to his family than the Senju would. The bastard was selecting Clans to breed his family into for power, like they were prized pigs for a damn contest."

"So what happened?"

"Like I said, it came back to bite me... He took one look at my daughter, and immediately decided she'd be the perfect bride for his son. It took everything I had not to kill him then and there, but I couldn't do anything. He'd paid off the Black Ones, so if we didn't do as we were told, death would've been a mercy. More likely, we'd have been locked up in Chungsu until that damn Fox struck, then left for dead when everyone left. We... I had no choice, so we accepted. The Royal wasn't without his 'mercy' though, he gave her until her 18th birthday to 'develop'. He wanted to see her in action as a Shinobi, before being stripped of her freedom, and reduced to a fucking trophy for his snot nosed brat..."

"Wow... That's... I can't even begin to understand how that must've felt."

"If you'd stop interrupting me, you might. Kids these days..."

Shino made a few more grumbled remarks, but Shayde continued to listen intently, feeling intense grief on the elder's behalf.

"So my daughter grew up with that as her reality. On her 18th birthday, that Royal would return to claim her, with his grown son in tow, and she'd be carted away to the Eastern Continent. While she agreed, and didn't let it show, I knew she wanted no part of it, but I had no choice. It was that, or we'd all face that Royal's fury. So I tried to teach her everything I knew. If she was going to be a prized possession, she might as well be a possession worth prizing. And to her credit, she was extraordinary. From her Sharingan and Genjutsu, to her flames, she excelled in them all. A better Uchiha I'd never seen before. I'd have been proud regardless, but my little girl most definitely was worthy of all the pride in the world. She took to the battlefield like a graceful demon, tearing through so many in her way. Then it all went to shit..."

Shino gently rubbed his eye lids, as though he were recalling moments when he had eyes to rub. The action itself was surprisingly morose however, as though the act that had resulted in the loss of his eyes had just occurred, and he was reliving that frustration. Shayde waited for a continuation, and was about to ask again what happened, but stopped himself, as the Elder was clearly having a moment. Even without eyes, he was clearly welling up with tears, and Shayde decided it was best to simply wait for this moment to pass.

"Why... Why did she have to go and fall in love...?"

Shayde's ears perked up at the whispered plea, thinking the story might have had a happy end, at least for the girl.

"She fell in love? With who? What did the Royal do about it?"

Shino shut his eyes harder than they were naturally, and wiped away the tears tumbling down his aged face.

"I don't want to talk about this any more. Just buy something, and get lost kid.
Pretending that someone like me is worth caring for... My own daughter didn't care, so why should anyone else...?"

He was right. Why did Shayde care at all? He didn't know this man, yet here he was, listening to his tale as though it were some fanciful story, prying where he shouldn't. But in response, rather than simply stand up, and walk away, Shayde decided this man was worth his time. Perhaps not his sympathy, as he was clearly prideful, and yet at the same time remorseful about the entire thing. Shayde hesitated as he extended a hand towards the older man's shoulder. An idea popped into his head at that moment, and he gathered Chakra within his palm, instilling it with a very specific frequency, as he reached out, and attempted to comfort Shino.

(Ototon: Kodai Sorufējusukēru) - Sound Release: Ancient Solfeggio Scale
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Self - Short (Direct Contact)
Chakra: 40 (-20 per ability used that has a turn duration)
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is derived from "The Ancient Solfeggio Scale", which basically is: "Solfeggio frequencies make up the ancient 6-tone scale thought to have been used in sacred music, including the beautiful and well known Gregorian Chants. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony. Each Solfeggio tone is comprised of a frequency required to balance your energy and keep your body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony." To start the use of this technique, the user gathers up a large amount of sound Chakra that can either be released, or used in two options. The user then either starts to vibrate the Chakra, either within their own body, or the body of their intended target Using their Chakra, the user is able to manipulate and alternate between specific frequencies the Chakra vibrates at, resulting in various beneficial effects on the receiving party. The available frequencies, and the effects generated by them, are as follows;

174 Hz - "Do" (Pain Relief) - The lowest of the Solfeggio Scale, this frequency uses the slow and calming vibrations to act as a sort of anaesthetic, relieving the affected of pain and trauma. While under the effects of "Do", the user/ target is more tolerant of minor pain, (i.e broken finger, or broken toe, etc) lending them a brief respite from the burden of physical damage. The target is unaware of their body's own pain for 2 turns.

285 Hz - "Io" (Healing Increased Efficiency) - The "Io" frequency is perhaps one of the most beneficial forms on the Solfeggio Scale, this frequency helps return tissue into its original form. 285 Hz influences energy fields, sending them a message to restructure damaged organs. It also leaves your body rejuvenated and energized. In other words "Io" helps the repair of damage done to it's target, allowing them to be healed faster and more effectively by Medical Shinobi. Any Medical Jutsu performed on a target under the effects of the "Io" frequency cost 50% less Chakra, which last for a max of 3 turns and expire when a Medical Jutsu is performed on the user. The sound itself doesn't actually heal the user in anyway, but it just creates an opening for Medical Ninjas to use their techniques more efficiently.

396 Hz - "Ut" (Killing Intent Resistance) - "Ut" is a rather unique frequency, as it grants its target a feeling of liberation from negative feelings, such as guilt, fear or anger, and general corruption of the mind through whatever means (as long as the Jutsu used to corrupt the mind is the same or lower ranked, than this Jutsu). Through this liberation the user is granted a high level of mental clarity, the likes of which may seem alien to them. Thanks to the relief of the burden of negative emotions, a beneficiary of the "Ut" frequency will be less susceptible to techniques that prey on such emotions. This makes the user one level more resistant to the "Killing Intent" Jutsu for 2 turns, after which their mind and new capabilities will return to their original state before anything had happened.

417 Hz - "Re" (Re-encouragement) - Next tone from the Solfeggio scale is connected with resonation processes or processes of amplification. Re can “delete” person’s “alienation from God” and enable returning to the “right path”. This Solfeggio frequency cleanses traumatic experiences and clears destructive influences of past events. It can be used for cleaning limiting impression, which disables the person to achieve her life goals. When speaking of cellular processes, tone Re encourages the cell and its DNA to function in an optimal way. 417 Hz frequency energizes your body cells and helps to use their creative potentials. This one creates a small window of opening where the users reaction speed is by a scale factor of 1.5x, that being said this frequency is activated will only last the turn it is used on.

852hz - "La" (Genjutsu Resistance) - Tone ‘La’ is linked to your ability to see through the illusions of your life, such as hidden agendas of people, places and things. This frequency can be used as means for opening a person up for communication with the all-embracing Spirit. It raises awareness and lets you return to spiritual order. Regarding cellular processes, 852 Hz enables the cell to transform itself into a system of higher level. The sound created from this effect, creates a resistance to Genjutsu, how this works is that the sound reverberates the users Chakra flow in such a way that it constantly fluctuates the Chakra which makes it easier for the easy to break out of Genjutsu up to the same rank as this Jutsu, this technique lasts for two turns. And this only works on basic Genjutsu, and sound based. Anything that comes from a Doujutsu is unaffected.

Notes:
- Only one effect can be used per-usage.
- Each effect can only be used once per-match/twice per-NW event.
- Cool down of two turns before re-use.
- Not a Medical Ninjutsu technique, this is rather a technique that enhances the use of medical Ninjutsu though the use of specific frequencies.
- Can only be taught by Nathan.

"Listen, if you want me to go, I'll go. This is clearly hard for you, and I'm sorry for, basically, coercing you to spill your life story all for money.
A deal's a deal though, so here's what I have-"

Shino snapped back, the Solfeggio Scale seemingly doing it's job, and helping him overcome, at least in some small capacity, these events from his past.

"No, I'm sorry. You're the first person whose genuinely even given me the time of day, never mind actually giving a crap about an old failure like me."

A smile crept on to the old man's face, and he continued his story, one Shayde was truly beginning to become engrossed within, even though he knew the ending; that Shino lost his eyes. The destination would always be the same, but the journey was surprisingly complex, and worth his full attention. Before he returned his attention back to Shino, out of the corner of his eye, Shayde saw a vendor from the next stall over giving the eyeless elder an uncomfortable glare. As soon as he saw Shayde staring back, he seemed at a loss for words, before turning back to face the passing people, scowl present on his face as he glanced back every now and then.Upon further inspection, a lot of people in the area were giving Shino looks of disgust... Maybe they knew his tale, and didn't want him to spill the beans? Or maybe it was a stigma placed upon him from the story's end? Or merely the fact that he was an Uchiha without eyes. Shayde couldn't tell, but crossed his arms in front of him as he returned to the conversation.

"She fell in love... My little girl... I had an hunch that she did, always sneaking out at weird hours, being gone for days at a time... I thought she was just having some fun before she was wed... But no, she went and fell for another man completely."

"That's a good thing though, isn't it? She found love, it wasn't forced upon her."

"Of course you'd think that. Stories like that are so common, but the hard truth is she abandoned us.
Falling in love with the enemy..."

Shayde's heart stopped for the briefest moment... That foreboding sense that he'd felt as Shino spoke immediately swelled within him, as he began to line some pieces up, hoping beyond hope that he was wrong about his guess for Shino's "little girl"...

"The... Enemy?"

"Damn Uzumaki..."

Shayde recoiled in the harsh realization of the situation, knowing now who Shino was talking about; his own mother.

"They're better than the Senju, that's for sure, but not by much. Scum, every last one of them..."

"Your daughter fell in love with an Uzumaki? Can't imagine ended well for him..."

Shayde lied, feigning ignorance of at least part of the story's end, knowing that, while there was indeed a tragedy, he was not a direct victim of it.

"You'd think so, but no. The pair had been sneaking off to have their 'quiet' time, but the Royal's men had been watching her since she was a little girl, to keep him updated on her maturity. They tailed them, and told that bastard about it. He contacted us, telling us we'd better make an example out of that Uzumaki. So some of the Uchiha her age decided they'd follow them to their next get up, and teach her a lesson she wouldn't forget. Turns out she made a deal with that Uzumaki bastard, and their forces were waiting for us. It was an ambush, and none of our people came back. She tried explaining herself, but I wouldn't hear any of it. As far as we were all concerned, she betrayed us. She left with her lover, and the pair ran away to Chungsu. Stupid girl must've got herself killed by that Fox in the Razing, cause I haven't heard about her since..."

The world spun around Shayde as he tried to compile all of this. First and foremost, this man was his grandfather on his mothers side. Second, that the Uchiha really did consider Imogen a traitor, and thought that she'd conspired with the Uzumaki to elope with her love. The truth he couldn't tell him though, at least in public like this, was that neither one conspired with the other against their own. The Uzumaki held the same belief, that they were betrayed by their own, when in fact Imogen and Fuzen didn't want a fight to begin with, and the massacre occurred because neither was willing to listen to, or believe their own, because their hatred of the "enemy" got the better of them.

"And your eyes...?"

"The Royal understood that my daughter's decision was all her own, so he wouldn't punish me for her actions, but he wanted compensation for all his time and trouble. He was promised the Uchiha Clan's power, and so he traveled here with the intent on returning home with it. The others who were with me that night also had kids, and not one of them offered up one of their children. Instead, they held me down, tore my eyes out, and handed them to that Royal. Content with his 'prize', he left with his son, to give him the power he 'deserved'... So, that's my story, kid... Happy now? Bet you think I'm scum too..."

"How could I ever say I was happy with any of that? No one in this story was a hero... Not you, not that Royal, not your daughter..."

Shayde wanted to say how he truly felt, but with almost every single eye now on Shino, it all made sense. He was, for all intents and purposes, an outcast. Though not exiled like Imogen was, he was worth less to them than dirt, trash that was better off dead, all for being the father of a traitor. The fact that his eyes were stolen as payment for some selfish noble bastard half a world away boiled his blood though...

"But the only scum in that entire story were your 'friends' who pulled you into that mess in the first place, then left you with the bill for the whole thing when it came down to it. And that Royal Prick for being a royal prick."

"You're even dumber than I thought kid. Cause if you've got the balls to say something like that here, in the middle of a crowded public spot, with people who know my story, and who know the people involved, then you're either brainless, or you're just as reckless as I was back then."

"You know what? I'd be proud to say I'm just as reckless as you, cause things may not have worked out the best for you, but at the very least Imogen found someone who loved her for who she was, not for what she could do for them. I bet she lead a hard but fulfilling life full of love... I bet she had a kid she loved more than the whole world, but she also never forgot her roots, even if she knew she couldn't return..."

Pulling a purse of coins from out of his person, Shayde dropped it on the stall, and began to walk off. Shino looked confused for a moment, as he hadn't stated his girl's name. He dare not utter it out of fear of punishment for speaking the name of a traitor. Haphazardly reaching around the stall for the purse, before swiftly pocketing it, clearly happy with it's surprising weight, he asked.

"Weren't you going to buy something, kid?"

"It's cool. I got something better than some ratty old clothes, gramps..."

Shayde's emphasis on that last word gave Shino all the confirmation he needed. The old man, who lost all hope of ever finding happiness again, began to feel tears well up, not out of grief at the losses in his past, but at hope for the future that could be.

"My advice, gramps? Take that money, and get the **** out of here while you can. Because if that's the way your 'family' treat you..."

Shayde stopped in his tracks, a crowd of armed Uchiha before him, all of their eyes ablaze, each one with a scowl of disgust, and recognition, as Shayde felt himself well up at this touching reunion, unable to hold back his flames any longer.

Description: A simple technique, with varying applications, Litmus Form takes principles from both of it's related techniques, namely the simplicity of Litmus Finger, and the full body applications of Litmus Fist, and combines them both, to create a full-body application, which is achieved through a very simple method. This technique utilizes the Chakra that naturally leaks from the body [SUP][ ][/SUP], and is what allows Chakra Sensor-types to detect other lifeforms, such as enemy Shinobi, to create an unranked, full body cosmetic. It has been shown that this naturally exuded can be directly manipulated, such as with the "Chakra Suppression Technique", allowing the user to prevent this Chakra from escaping the body, making them virtually invisible to Chakra Sensors. This technique follows a similar principle, allowing the user to passively manipulate this ambient Chakra, moulding it much like they would for a Jutsu, applying both changes to the Shape and Element, giving it a basic "form" as it leaves the body. This however, unlike the aforementioned technique, doesn't make the user invisible to Chakra Sensors, as the Chakra is still "leaving" the users body, simply in another "state". This allows the user to re-purpose this Chakra, for example, allowing them to wreathe themselves in flames, or cloak themselves in an aura of electrical energy, vortex of wind, etc, and other purely cosmetic applications, without any actual Chakra cost, or effort on part of the user, leaving them open to perform other actions without interference. These cosmetics carry no damage, or tangible properties, not from a lack of control or influence from the user, but simply due to them being composed of the "dregs" of one's Chakra Flow, Chakra that would otherwise go unused, making any impact on both the user, other beings, and the world around them, almost entirely negligible.

(Nanatsu Shukenja Kaen) Seven Sovereign Flames
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Created by a group of Fire Style Masters who used their emotions to influence their Chakra, the Seven Sovereign Flames are not considered traditional Jutsu in the sense that the user simply gathers Chakra, adds various changes to Shape and Nature, then performs it against their opponent in Battle. Rather, they are the purest form of "Supplementary Enhancement" for all techniques that the user knows that fall under the Basic 5 Element of Fire. The user takes their skill in the manipulation of the Fire Element and combines it with their powerful, sometimes overwhelming, emotions, with the result being seven new types of Fire, each with their own special properties, all derived directly from the emotions infused into them. The Seven Masters all created their Sovereign Flames after succumbing to the reprecussions of their own emotions. One was consumed with hatred and rage, and hurt the one he loved, while another gave up something precious to them, and was consumed with overwhelming grief and sadness. After their own traumatizing experiences, and eventual personal revalations, they all came to understand and accept the flaws in their own emotional states, and used their understanding of these emotions to further their skills in Fire Release, revealing their true colors as it were. The concept of emotions influencing Chakra has been referenced in the series on a few occasions. One of the best examples of this is Karin Uzumaki, a powerful Sensor-Type Ninja with a unique and extremely detailed form of Sensory perception. Using her Sensory abilities Karin once described both Naruto and Sasuke's Chakra at around the same time in the series claiming Naruto's was "bright and warm", while Sasuke's was "dark and cold", which coincided with both of their emotions during the Five Kage Summit Arc. Karin's description of the nature of both Naruto and Sasuke's Chakra supports the concept that one's Chakra is tightly interwoven with the current state of the users emotions, with this Jutsu using different emotions to directly affect and alter the user's Fire Release Chakra in unique and interesting ways.

The Seven Sovereign Flames are directly applied to one's biography, under the Specialties section as an extension of the Fire Element, thus requiring any user of this Jutsu to specialize in the Fire Element. Within this extension of their Fire Element specialty, the user must specify one of the Seven Sovereign Flames, which becomes their "personal" Sovereign Flame, which they naturally embody, allowing the user to imbue their entire Fire Release arsenal into that Sovereign Flame, each with their own unique properties (All of which are explained below). Only one user of this Jutsu can specialize in any given Sovereign Flame at a time, meaning two users cannot embody the same Flame at the same time. The Sovereign Flame that the user specializes in will always be available to the them at the start of a battle (in addition to base/ regular Fire Style), at no additional chakra cost. Additionally, while the Sovereign Flames have their own unique properties, they are all still considered, for all intents and purposes, Fire Style Ninjutsu, and always follow the Elemental interactions and guidelines for regular Fire Style, regardless of any unique or alternative properties they possess. Finally, the effects of the Sovereign Flames scale with the Rank, size, overall power, etc of the Jutsu they are infused into, just like any regular form of Elemental Ninjutsu, with higher ranking Jutsu logically dealing more severe effects upon contact with a target, object or surface.

The Sovereign Flames themselves are as follows;

Asmodeus' Ire - Created as the result of his rage hurting one he loved, Asmodeus created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own anger to access this brutally crimson red fire, which is deeply rooted in all things connected with rage. Asmodeus' Ire grants one's Fire Style with the ability to barbarically consume oxygen, creating a Fire that is extremely volatile, and explodes on contact with any form of solid matter. This phenomena is also refered to as a "thermobaric explosion", and has the added benefit of severely reducing oxygen levels in the immediate area of effect of any Fire Jutsu imbued with this Sovereign Flame, lessening the power of any and all Fire Style within the area after this Sovereign Flame has been used by 1 Rank.

Alisa's Bliss - The end result from the overbearing joy that she brought into the world, Alisa created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own joy to access this vibrant Sovereign Flame, which is linked directly to the user's happiness. As she was never one to enjoy fights, Alisa's Bliss has no blatantly offensive properties, creating a yellow flame that grants one's Fire Style with the ability to blind all within Short Range of a Jutsu imbued with this Sovereign Flame, similar in nature to a flashbomb.

Diarmuid's Covetousness - Born from attempting to fill an empty, endless void in his life by accumulating material goods, Diarmuid forged this gangrenous green Sovereign Flame, which is deeply rooted in all things connected with jealousy. Diarmuid's Covetousness grants one's Fire Style with the ability to steal, or copy, the attributes and abilities of other Fire Release Jutsu it is able to make direct contact with, and successfully overpower. This applies to both friendly and enemy Jutsu, and allow attributes that stem from both the manipulation of the Chakra's Nature and Shape. However, any attempt to "steal" or "copy" the abilities of another Sovereign Flame will result in failure, as the conflicting nature of the emotions that constitute the Sovereign Flames will render each other inert. While it has no stolen attributes or abilities, it produces basic flames just like a regular Fire Jutsu, simply with a different color.

Imogen's Sorrow - Imogen's perpetual sadness came from an ultimatum that shattered her life, with the resulting sadness causing her to forge her own Sovereign Flame by accident. The user must also know and understand their own sadness to access this silent, ghostly blue fire, which is deeply affected by the sorrows of ones life. Imogen's Sorrow infuses one's Fire Style with the property to exude an external endothermic reaction in place of the regular exothermic reaction, drawing in heat from the Jutsu's surroundings and forcing the outer reaches of the Jutsu to be "perceived" as cold. But despite this perception, at the core of any Jutsu imbued with Imogen's Sorrow still burns a powerful flame like regular Fire Ninjutsu, causing the usual burns on contact with a target or surface. The difference is the first moments where the Jutsu approaches an opponent, making them believe it's something entirely different from Fire Ninjutsu, thus giving the user a slight advantage.

Schifone's Acrimony - Unfortunatly for it's creator, this Sovereign Flame was created from their abhorrent disgust for the world. The user must also know and understand their own disgust to access this pungent purple fire, which is connected with one's own sense of revulsion. Schifone's Acrimony grants one's Fire Style with the ability to produce an overwhelming scent, as it consumes more of the trace elements found in the air. With these higher concentrations of those trace elements, the flame bombards the opponents sense of smell, overloading it, while also effectively acting as an active marking agent that allows Olfactory Sensors, like Ninja Hounds and the Inuzuka, to track the target to the ends of the Earth, regardless of attempts to remove it.

Phobos' Recreancy - Born from a perpetual, crippling fear of the world, and the darkness within it, Phobos created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know and understand their own fears to access this deceptively dim black fire, which is deeply rooted in cowardice. Phobos' Recreancy imbues one's Fire Style with the unique property to emit zero light, thus creating a black fire that perfectly blends into darkness, and is well suited for assassinations or deception, as it is identical to the famed Black Flames of Amaterasu, though obviously lacking it's unique ability to never be extinguished.

Rhiannon's Clarity - Rhiannon was a very unique young woman, as she never really had any predisposition for any emotion whatsoever. Eventually she came to understand that this was not the product of apathy, or a disinterest in showing any emotion, but simply the result of achieving a true state of peace, and by coming to acknowledge this, she created this Sovereign Flame. The user must also know have a sense of neutrality to access this surprisingly unique pure, clear fire, which is the result of enlightenment. Rhiannon's Clarity imbues one's Fire Style with the unique property to completely allow light to almost pass completely through it, thus creating the illusion that the user's fire is invisible. Despite this "invisibilty", it still distorts any light that passes through it, created a "wavy" effect that can still be seen by the naked eye.

Note: This Jutsu must be stated in the user's biography, and posted at the beginning of every battle.
Note: Chosen flame must be stated in the user's bio.

"Then you're better off without them."

Straining his neck into a crack, as cold blue flames slowly leaked from his entire body, Shayde stared down the crowd of seemingly pissed Uchiha. Unlike them, family meant something to him... And that's exactly what he came here to find.

"Didn't you hear me old man?! You've suffered enough at the hands of these selfish bastards!!
Your daughter is out there somewhere, so go find her!!
If you don't care for her anymore, then just find yourself a nice place to live out the rest of your days in peace!!
If you can do that, I'll consider it money well spent!!"

Shayde snapped at the old man, and for the first time in a long time, Shino saw that same spark that he saw within his daughter. A peculiar spark, not one that was visible to the naked eye, like Imogen's mesmerizing blue fire, but one that shone inside.

It was a spark that would grow into a flame that would consume the world...

Shayde stared down the veritable gang of Uchiha before him, each one clearly armed, and pissed beyond belief. It took only moments for the hustle and bustle of a busy market street to become almost entirely abandoned, people fleeing into alleys and houses to escape the fight they knew was about to break out. To his credit, Shayde tried to not appear intimidated, but the sheer number before him, in addition to the fact they all clearly came for a brawl with weapons drawn, and Sharingan active, told Shayde all he needed to know. Looking back, Shino was still trembling in his chair, far too afraid to move out of fear of what was to come next.

"Old man, please. Go. I promise, everything will be fine."

"Why did you even come here kid? If you really are her son, you had to have known you aren't welcome..."

"Honestly? Yeah, I knew. Was hoping to be surprised, and I was, kinda. I was expecting all of you to be like these assholes, but not all of you were. It was hard trying to find out exactly what being an Uchiha meant when I only had my mom to rely on growing up. So I wanted to see it for myself, regardless of the consequences if I was found out. And wouldn't you know, not only did I find you, I found out I've got more in common with you than any of these dickbags. So no matter what else happens today, I'm happy that I at least have that."

"Oi!! You done, traitor?! It's a shame the old man doesn't have his eyes anymore, but don't worry. Even though he won't be able to watch, we'll make sure he can hear every last bit, up until we put you out your misery, half-breed!!"

"Gramps-, no Shino. Please, go. You really don't need to be here for this. I promise, everything will be fine."

His whole body trembling, Shino eventually gave in, too tired to argue with someone so full of youth, and enthusiasm. Truly, Shayde was just like his gramps, but maybe without some of that trademark recklessness. Struggling to his feet, cane in one hand, his white robe in the other, Shino hurried out of the Compound as quickly as his legs would allow. One of the assembled group stepped forth, intent on following Shino, but was immediately stopped by his "leader", at the front of the crowd, then almost immediately after by a sudden trembling from beneath the ground.

"Anyone touches the old man, I swear, no matter who you are, I'll kill you without a second thought!!"

(Rinyūaru Tekondō: Bo-Bup) | Renewal Taekwondo: Way of Walking
Type: Supplementary
Rank: D-Rank/ B-Rank/ A-Rank
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 10/ 20/ 30
Damage: N/A
Description: The user begins this technique as they would any technique from RE Taekwondo, by increasing their weight by a certain amount for a brief instant, in relation to the amount of energy they wish to generate, using the basic principles of the Fighting Style. The user then directs this energy, using one of their legs, into the other leg, and expends it in order to “kick” or "push" off the ground with a tremendous amount of force, propelling the user at high speeds in a single, linear direction. It would require the Tracking Capabilities of a 2 Tomoe Sharingan or Higher to track this movement. This technique has 3 stages, each with their own Rank and distance it allows the user to traverse.

D-Rank: Weight Manipulation costs 10 Chakra, and allows the user to move up to 5m.
B-Rank: Weight Manipulation costs 20 Chakra, and allows the user to move up to 10m.
A-Rank: Weight Manipulation costs 30 Chakra, and allows the user to travel up to 15m.

Note: This technique cannot be performed consecutively within the same turn.
Note: The A-Rank usage of this technique can be used a max of 4 times per battle. Additionally after the A-Rank version of this Jutsu is used, this technique cannot be used for 2 turns.

Some of the group recoiled at the sudden violent shaking, but those at the front said it was just a trick. Shayde had used Earth Release to shake the ground as an intimidation tactic. That's all it was, a show and nothing more. He wasn't even activating his Sharingan. He probably wanted them all to run away because he was scared, of their numbers, and combined power. Being the daughter of a traitor and all, he was 'inferior' to them, especially because of his mixed lineage. These were all the thoughts coursing through the groups minds, and like herd immunity to the truth before them, the herd mentality kicked in, causing them to charge him in one go.

Shayde watched as the mass of Uchiha swarmed him like a tidal wave, bearing down on him with excessive force. Shayde, on the other hand, was experiencing a different kind of force. His legs were straining from holding in his technique for so long. Renewal Taekwondo always had that little flaw of requiring him to utilize it's techniques virtually instantly, or face permanent damage, but he was patient, simply waiting for everyone to get within range. As the front of the hoard barreled down on him, Shayde simply took a moment to gather his thoughts. He was unbalanced after this recent revelation regarding his family, and needed to focus. With a simple, drawn out breath, he gathered his thoughts, then struck, the effect of which was immediate.

(Migatte no GokuiChō hon'nō) Mastery of Self-MovementUltra Instinct
Type: Supplementary/ Defensive
Rank: N/A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: An advanced Taijutsu art, based on the martial art of "(Mushin) Empty Mind", a mental state where the body reflexively reacts without the need of having any specific input from the practitioner, resulting in such refined levels of instinct and intuition to a level where they can respond to any threat without the need for thought. This is achieved via an intense level of training, wherein one is endlessly bombarded with incredibly fast, yet weak strikes, until they eventually grasp the concept of "self-movement", where each part of the body seemingly acts independently of the user's own will. It teaches one to abandon the practice of "thinking before moving", and simply initiate "moving without thinking". This is incredibly useful, as messages from the brain can only move through the nervous system to one's body parts so fast, subsequently losing precious time in combat that add up with every consecutive movement and action. This technique does not increase, or grant any kind of additional boost to the user's movement, tracking or reaction speed in any sense. Instead, it is akin to an automated defensive stance that allows the user to effectively negate any incoming physical attack that they can, visually or otherwise, register, without actually thinking about performing the actions. The body moves, almost as if on it's own accord, to respond to incoming attacks, and attempts to negate, redirect, or counter them in the most logical manner, before proceeding to intercept the next attack. A perfect idiom to describe this stance is "The lights are on, but no one is home", as the user is clearly responding to external threats, yet doesn't always seem entirely "present". One of the many benefits to this technique is that it is purely physical, and, by it's very nature, requires little to no input from the user themselves, especially in regards to their Chakra flow. As their body is reacting instinctively, rather than with directed motions and a proper input from the user themselves, they're free to use their heads to perform other actions, such as analysing attack patterns, potential weak points, and formulate and initiate proper counter attacks, etc. There are significant drawbacks to this technique as well however as, by it's very nature, it can only allow the user's body to react to actions and attacks that they can witness. This means the user cannot use this technique against attacks faster than they can track or logically register due to speed, but also attacks of a deceptive nature, or attack the user in some unregisterable manner, such as attacks that cannot be physically seen, like "Frog Kumite", or attacks that strike outside the user's field of vision. However, in the case of techniques that are directly applied via physical actions, such as in the case of a Shinobi driving a Rasengan into the body of their opponent, the user can divert this incoming threat by redirecting the physical motions of the opponent's strike, "countering" the Rasengan without making physical contact with it, or even ending the technique. [SUP][ ][/SUP] Finally, entering into this stance does not constitute the usage of one of the user's 3 Jutsu per turn, however, if this technique is used to defend against another Jutsu, every instance of a successfully defended technique does consume one of the user's allotted Jutsu from their next turn. When used to defend against freeform actions and movements, no Jutsu slots are consumed. This can, in most cases, force a stalemate in close-quarters combat centric fights, as neither party gains any ground, or inflicts damage upon the other.

Note: Can only be used for a max of 3 turns, and user must wait 3 turns between usages.
Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ, and can only be used by Biographies with a Taijutsu specialty.

(Riko Shugi no Kī ☯ Chō Zenchō) Key of Egoism ☯ Ultra Omen
Type: Supplementary/ Defensive
Rank: N/A
Range: Self
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A (+20 Taijutsu/ Kenjutsu (Hakai)
Description: Ultra Omen is a paired technique, comprised of a supplementary mental state for "(Migatte no Gokui ☯ Chō hon'nō) Mastery of Self-Movement ☯ Ultra Instinct", achieved through the freedom of thought and conscious action the user achieves by relegating the act of evading, countering, etc, perceived incoming physical threats to their autonomous instincts, and reflexive body, allowing them to focus their attention elsewhere. This culminates in a series of supplementary buffs and applications which improve the users overall close-quarters combat capabilities, all tied to the distinct basis "Ultra Instinct" provides. Naturally this technique can only be utilized with, and is automatically activated once Ultra Instinct is activated, being passively applied within the same timeframe slot, without using one of the user's 3 Jutsu per turn. Upon activation the user, who must at least be a Taijutsu specialist, selects one of the following applications to activate during the current usage of "Ultra Instinct", while users with a higher proficiency in Taijutsu, for example, users with access to Kaito's Taijutsu, the Eight Inner Gates, or Seven Heavenly Breaths can select up to two. The chosen application(s) take effect immediately, within the same timeframe of both techniques activating, cannot be changed once selected, and remain active until "Ultra Instinct" deactivates, whether due the expiry of it's duration, the user's will, or upon a forced deactivation, such as a K.O, death, etc. The applications are as follows;

(Mezame) Awakening: As the user's body becomes accustomed to the feeling of responding to external threats at its "normal" speed, eventually the user reaches a point where they are able to make Movements/ Reactions beyond their body's regular capabilities. The user gains a x2 speed modifier for both their Movement and Reaction speed whist "Ultra Instinct" is active, however, upon deactivation, the user suffers -4 to their base movement and reaction speeds for 2 turns as a result of pushing their body beyond it's natural limitations. [ ] [ ]

(Hakai) Destruction: The user extends their autonomous instinct to the general movements and actions of their Offensive Taijutsu techniques, allowing them to consciously exert more physical effort into their techniques, resulting in a passive +20 increase in damage to all of their physical attacks (Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, etc). Upon deactivation, the added exertion from forcing more power into their attacks leaves the user's body aching, causing the user to lose -10 damage to their Taijutsu for 3 turns. [ ]

(Kenbunshoku) Observation: By focusing their attention on incoming projectiles, the user is able to utilize "Ultra Instinct" to evade small to medium scale ranged techniques, such as basic projectiles, streams, etc, regardless of their Rank. Naturally this follows the same restrictions and drawbacks detailed within "Ultra Instinct", meaning each successfully evaded Jutsu consumes one of the user's 3 Jutsu per turn from their next turn, and only works on projectiles they can either physically see, or otherwise logically perceive. [ ] [ ]

(Kōtai) Shift: By tensing the muscles upon the moment of the evasion, the user increases the overall acceleration of the their manoeuvre, but not the actual speed of the movement, creating after-images that linger for several moments. Alternatively, the user can perform the same tensing motion as they start a physical attack, creating a form of "before-image", that projects an image of the attack that continues on, allowing the user to change their attack, potentially creating an opening in their opponent's defence. The creation of a "Before Image" is a passive action, but can only be done once per turn. Finally, after using either, once this technique ends, the user's body is left in a spasmodic state, leaving them incapable of perform intricate or delicate movements, such as complex Taijutsu movements, or weaving handseals for 2 turns. [ ] [ ]

Note: Can only be taught by Iᴍᴘᴇяғᴇᴄᴛ, and only to those who have learned "Migatte no Gokui ☯ Chō hon'nō) Mastery of Self-Movement ☯ Ultra Instinct".

The moment he opened his eyes, the Uchiha at the front only caught the faintest glimpse of a bright, silvery glint in Shayde's eyes, before he vanished entirely. Even with their Sharingan active, the second Shayde moved, it was already over to them. To Shayde, he released his "Way of Walking" technique, simply passing through each and every one of his "enemies", while his body instinctually took over the rest. As he passed through them, it moved on it's own, lashing out, striking, countering, overwhelming each and everyone he perceived as a threat, before arriving at the other end of the assembled group. For a brief moment they wondered what had just happened, but within the next, each and every one felt the pain from Shayde's attack, before their bodies were unable to respond in any other manner than be thrown too and fro from the force of his strikes. And while he intentionally held back, their blood filled the air as they all were tossed in their respective directions, into buildings, stalls, each other. It was a massacre... With not a single fatality.

Shayde arrived on the other side of the group, and let out another drawn out breath, releasing his Ultra Instinct technique, and immediately feeling the after-effects of the heightened mental state. As the cold flames leapt from his body in more sporadic bursts from the sudden increase in physical activity, the people watching from their windows, and peeking around corners gasped in shock, and fear at the sudden outburst from the supposed "inferior" Shinobi. Realizing that it wouldn't be long until they recovered, and/ or reinforcements arrived, and knowing that, between the fever and his own body collapsing under the strain of Ultra Instinct, Shayde thought an expedient departure was best. His business here was done anyway, for now at least...

Mission:

- Do a good deed (ish)

Magnus had felt the strange chakra approach the landmark from the compound. He couldn't help but be curious about who had come here. He was about to scorch the very lands in his emotional state but his curiousity and something else led him away. He made his way to find a youngish man with and old man, clearly blind. The younger one wasn't much to look at but the two chakras within him sure were something.

Magnus sat down on some steps around the corner, listening to the tale told by the old man. Quite the dramatic one to say the least, but with his childhood, Magnus had never been surprised by betrayals. Though he never liked to see the Uchiha put down in such a way. He was about to go reveal himself, when he heard the group arrive. They had higher than normal chakra values but nothing to shout about. Magnus placed his hand on his blade ready to join in when the old man came walking in.

[Stepping as Imperfect starts to fight]

Then man was clearly listening yet still blind. Magnus had heard enough, though he would let you other Uchiha fight, he would let the old man, Shino, bare witness to it. He walked over to shino placing his hand on his shoulder, flooding yang energy through him, flowing through his body up into the man's eyes.

Shino: What are you... wait...

Magnus: Watch your little story boy destroy them.... as an Uchiha it's your right to see....

Shino: But...

Magnus: Just watch, but after, don't tell the lad.... about me... or the eyes....

Shino went to protest but he was too amazed, being able to see for the first time in years, he looked out watching Shady flow through the mass of Uchiha with ease, one by one crushing them, the flow of his motions, not a single step one missed. Shino cracked a smile before it was done. Following that the young lad kept going. He took one miss step. What ever he'd just done sure had taken it's toll.

Shino: He was capable of that....

Magnus: Interesting.... now.... one more thing... wait here...

Magnus strolled out to the bodies of the Uchiha, using that thought loosely. They were still breathing. Shame. It was these cretin that gave the bad reputation to the clan leading to the persecution of his own parents. He'd wanted to take his anger out on them but he had a better idea. His own eyes would spiral red, first the three tomoe, into the Eternal Mangekyo sharingan.

He walked over, placing his foot on the back of the closest one while focusing before him. A glow formed in the air, spiralling outwards, creating a portal that pushes forwards over the rest of the injured gang, taking them to Magnus own Mirror realm, as his own personal prisoners. With that done he knelt down over the one remaining one.

Magnus: It's your lucky day.... you get to help an old man out....

With that he thrust his hands forwards ripping out the man's eyes as he screamed in agony. He was too injured to move. Magnus walked over to the old man Shino who was in shock. He couldn't take his eyes off Magnus eyes. He was shocked to see the EMS.

Magnus took his chance and replaced the man's eyes in a flash with the ones he'd just taken. He didn't explain, he didn't need to, the old man would figure it out on his own. He'd let out a wince of pain in the process, before realising what Magnus had done.

Shino: W..what...

Magnus: Don't ask.... anyway, i have business to attend to.... say nothing of this.... I'd advise you leave here, maybe follow that kid, see he's alright. Speak to no one of this...

Before Shino could speak. Magnus was gone. He had to find a certain someone, someone who knew of the true pride of the Uchiha.

The only limit is the size of the technique originally used as an elemental source as the resulting entity will always be half the size. This entity can be interacted with, can act on its own and is made of the element sourced, with all its properties intact. Its strength is based on the original elemental technique used as a source. This doesn't consume time since its actually a skill applied to a technique used at the same time.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and up to 6 times per event to create one entity with up to 300 chakra points that is able to use jutsu from the source it was created from.
Note: Yang Release masters can apply this technique to advanced fields and CE and advanced elements.

( Doujutsu: Eien no Mangekyou Sharingan ) - Eye Technique: Eternal Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 70 ( -20 per turn to keep active )
Damage: N/A
Description: The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan literally meaning " Eternal Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye", is the final step in the evolutionary state of the Sharingan. While Mangekyo Sharingan is but an imperfect Dojutsu, unable to sustain and keep its own power, weakening with each use, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan brings control and balance to the power wielded. By merging the users own MS with that of his sibling, the use is able to awaken the EMS. The EMS grants the user the same abilities granted by MS but to unsurpassed levels. While granting the user the ability to perceive the world with increadible insight, it also grants the user the ability to see through S-Rank visual illusions and track the movement speed of almost anything, perfecting the already amazing abilities of the standard MS, like casting Genjutsu without the need for handseals as long as a line of sight to the target is available. A unique feat however, is that once the user awakens EMS, he loses access to his normal MS, transitioning from 3T form to EMS directly. While MS damages the user as time passes and severely tires and drains the user as its used, the EMS doesn't. The user can keep it active without losing his eyesight or damaging himself and can use the normal MS techniques with no activation reduction or drawbacks. Its true that the chakra cost is higher, but the user will feel little to no effect in his stamina and energy. Through his EMS, Madara gained the ability to control Tailed Beasts by forcefully using his sharingan genjutsu/mind manipulation abilities to take control of the Bijuu and temporarily sever its connection to the host. If the Jinchuriki is in normal form or entering one of the transformations, it's blocked from transforming for 3 turns. If it's in incomplete form, it's forced back into normal form and left unable to access his bijuu for 3 turns and if its in complete form, the user gains control over the bijuu, manipulating its movements/actions completely for 2 turns or until the complete form ends (whatever comes first), leaving the host unable to acess his bijuu for 3 turns.
Note: Only usable by bios with EMS after meeting the necessary requirements.
Note: User needs to have activated his 3T Sharingan beforehand
Note: Once activated, lasts 10 turns per use and once the user has held the ability for 4 months, can be done passively, with no move cost.
Note: Using MS techniques don't reduce the activation time.
Note: Controlling a Bijuu is an exclusive ability of Madara Uchiha and can only be done once per battle. Once the control ends, the EMS reverts back to a 3T Sharingan. If the control is done on a complete form Jinchuriki, then the user can't do any other technique while controlling the enemy.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: While active, as long as a clear line of sight and the range is respected, the user can cast normal non-Doujutsu Genjutsu without the need for handseals. However, Doujutsu illusions still require eye contact (if feasible) or their own requirements; this ability only affects regular Genjutsu.

(Doujutsu: Kaen no Kōfuku: Farsight) - Eye Technique: Enshi
Rank: Forbidden
Type: Supplementary, Defensive, Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 40 (70)
Damage points: N/A
Description: Farsight is a space/time Mangekyou Sharingan ability linked to both the users eyes. The user will focus on a single spot with his right eye, as he does that spot will glow as sparks spiral outwards tearing open a hole in space, creating a portal to the users own realm, the mirror realm. With this portal open, the user can focus to move the portal forwards of backwards, taking anything that it passes over into the mirror realm. While this spiralling energy tears open the hole in space, it's generally not harmful, but if something is caught in the portal when it's closing, it will cut into what ever is caught dealing 100 damage points to anything caught in a closing portal, as the doorway to the mirror dimension is severed. The portal forms as fast as amaterasu, the focus before the spark like energy spirals outwards. The portal can be up to 2m in diameter. Moving the portal can be done passively. The portals forming are silent. The user can make two linking portals, where he passes through the mirror realm to open up another with one use of this jutsu. He can make the two linking portals without having to pass through them.

The mirror realm is exactly as it states, it's a mirror image of the world we all all see. Just back to front, like looking at a reflection. If the user is fighting in a village, it will look exactly the same but a reflection of it it. If it's daytime in the real world it will be day time in the mirror realm. If it's raining in the real world it will also be raining in the mirror realm. Now what makes this truly unique is how the users left eye works.

The left eye is linked to the mirror realm itself, what ever the user can see in the mirror world he can bend and fold space within. The user can focus on a single or large point to bend the laws of physics itself. He can make concrete seem like a trampoline, he can make buildings bend without breaking, the very air solid like a pain of glass, similar as to how Yin Release: Change into Heaven can change the properties of an element, this power allows the user to change the properties of space in his own realm. From making glass seem like rubber, the air dense as stone to stop someone moving, folding the space in a certain area so the ground becomes the side like a wall, a building is now the roof and what was now right is down, the user can fold and bend space as much as they like. They can't remove gravity or, just bend the world around so the effects of gravity can cause them to fall where the ground is no longer below them. The user is unable to completely change an object, he can't turn stone to fire or solid to gas (or vice versa), but can change the texture and density and state of matter of anything physical he may see, stretching a 10x10 meter area. Solid rock can become as soft as dirt to break through, or glass can become as solid as steel, or even act like a trampoline, changing the physical structure of what he sees rather than converting it to something else.

Note: Can use these portal abilities a total of 8 times per battle with his EMS active and he can use the space warping ability of his left eye 6 times per battle.
Note: If an opponent with no means to return to the normal world is sent to the mirror realm, he cannot return unless the user brings him back, unless they have a method of travel through space/time.
Note: To perceive and have a chance to react to this technique, the targets need to have at least MS level of perceptions or be wielders of Space/Time techniques themselves.
Note: Must have EMS active
Note: Can only be used by The pervy Sage

Coming from [x]

Having walked from what was essentially a giant factory in the form of a city, the group had made their way to an adjacent town that was shielded by small connected forests. Stopping by a small store, Merlin sat on the bench in mild exhaustion, "Phuah... let's take a timeout here. This Magus needs a bit of time to recover after so much running around...", wiping small beads of sweat from his forehead.

Having recuperated somewhat, Merlin stood from the seat and turned to his companions "Alright! Let's go, everyone." With that, they would move on from the small town, heading west.
