i do remember base gai's punch being ineffective on water prison against kisame but its not good comparision

well I am not really sure , but she can blow or bounce the water techniques , why would she get caught in one of Mei's suiton techniques ?

but if she got caught in it , then I afraid that it is simply over , because the water would decreases the momentum of her punches meaning that her CES would not be as strong to bounce it

After consideration, I would say, Mei wins. Sakura is fast, but she isn't that fast. Just because MS Sasuke dodged her Lava tech doesn't mean dear old Sakura can, when she's no where near as fast as MS Sasuke. Nowhere near him. Sakura actually has to leap up, create momuentum and then come down to create a shockwave. Not that it's a bomb shockwave anyway. As soon as she leaps up, Mei can simply spit water dragon tech and follow it up with acid mist. Heck, she'll be a rag-doll long before that. How long can Sakura keep healing the acid mist or lava tech that was melting a high tier version of Madara's Susanoo?

She loses. As for speed then Mei came between Madara's Katon attack to launch an offense when she was not even on the ****ing panel then and intercepted Zetsu with ease. The same Zetsu who was tripping the greasy KCM blond ******* who is shoo fast. She's faster than Sakura by feats. So, CQC is a bust for Sakura as well.
