This technique can be used in battle by creating an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy. The clone would then jump and explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals that results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, which leaves them open for attack.
This technique can be countered in a battle by immediately dispersing the cherry blossom leaves when the clone detonates
An disadvantage of this technique is that the clone would have to be fairly close to the opponent after his initial charge in order for the cherry blossoms to effectively hinder the target. An advantage of this technique though is the fact that the advancing clone would draw all the opponent's attention, leaving the user ample time to formulate another attack.
My personal opinion about the technique it that it'e pretty useful when you need to distract the opponent and conduct a sneak attack.
*Aj looks at the target, inserting his chakra into their brain as he does so in order to place them in a genjutsu. In the illusion the target sees a clone run towards him and jumps into the air before exploding in a cloud of cherry blossoms. This serves to not only confuse the target, but obscure his vision of the user and leaves him open to attack*
