Only for Naruto Uzumaki fans, but for fans of the manga and not a particular character see right through Kishimoto's bullshit. He clearly is giving Naruto everything Sasuke has so they can be on par when they fight.

He must have known, considering it was the reason why he left the island to begin with: Felt nobody had to die to protect him.

He earned respect from Konoha for using Talk-no-Jutsu to revive basically the strongest fighters in the village.

After that he didn't consider the world's risk with him carelessly joining the battlefield, especially with Madara Jinchuriki-hunting them. The Child of Prophecy thing was going out of line..

Kishi has some plans with his masterpiece.
In part 1, He viewed Naruto to be weak and bratty with not so nice personality but in part 2, he matured and got more skills other than rasengan. Well, he's the main character. Naruto is a boring character if he never improved and it gives more twist and excitement on the story. From a prank kid to the hero of leaf village.
Naruto has plan (and this is not just talking..this is on the manga). He won't just go on the battle field to make himself look cool because he believe he's the child of prophecy.
He just couldn't stand thinking his friends were out there fighting for his sake, that's Naruto's attitude. He has never given up on anything if he was put on a big decision like ie Sasuke or the village. He was always like that and I expect Naruto will rush on the battle field if he knew what is the situation. He won't just sit his butt because he's the key that the enemy wanted. He rather die to defend what's important to him.
Just read and see that will happen okay!

I really don't see any contradictions. Just the protagonists character being developed over the last 10 + years of the series.

If everyone knew who Naruto's parents were from the start, and why the 4th sealed the fox in Naruto, everyone would have thought differently.

I am pretty sure that he still wants to be the Hokage, but we don't really hear it to much from him directly. This is probably due to the fact that he has other goals, that are probably more important to him at the moment, and he focus's his attention on those, versus his dream of Hokage.

It has always been hinted at who his father was, Jiraiya said in the first series he was taking Naruto as his apprentice, because of his resemblance to the 4th. Granted Jiraiya knew who his father was, but it was still not revealed until much later.

Is there some kind of time line that state's exactly how long he was training with the toads? I have always wondered how long he was with the toads myself.

He obviously was always part of the Uzumaki clan. The whole chain of hatred thing has been a vital part of the entire story, just with different names attached to it, and it needs to be seen in a different way, and on different scales.

There is a fine line between arrogance and self confidence. People are that are seen as arrogant are typically only seen that way by people that have low self confidence.

I don't believe he is OP. As of right now he is only on par with the Raikage. We haven't seen what he can do fully with his new powers, so maybe he has peaked (which is highly unlikely). We also don't know what Kabuto, Tobi/Madara, or Sasuke can do yet.

Naruto is arrogant, but he is kind as well. Sasuke is also arrogant but he isn't kind, he is obnoxious. If Naruto wasn't arrogant he wouldn't be as good as he is, arrogance is a good trait in a person, obnoxiousness is Sasukes down-side.
