No he didn't. Burgess couldn't hurt Sabo, but he had the endurance/durability to withstand Sabo's attacks for a while. Sabo needed to put in effort to injure Burgess as much as he did.

That level of effort was on display when dealing with marine fodder and VA Bastille. Never once tried to use MMnM offensively with Fuji (canon fact). One kick to the face - an flame infused claw attack - one hiken to obliterate him. Burgess did in fact get the stomped. A DF less Sabo was more than enough to deal with Burgess as he showed in Colosseum. MMnM was overkill.

None of that contradicts what I was saying. You can argue that Sabo was experimenting with the fruit, yes, but that still doesn't change that Burgess' durability was so much so that he was capable of withstanding those attacks, making Sabo put in effort. It's about Burgess' stamina and durability, not Sabo's power.

Yes it does. Burgess being able to withstand Sabo's attacks means that Sabo can't leisurely defeat him as he would just keep on tanking the attacks and keep going.

Except it's not like this at all. It's a fight, and it's not a fight Sabo can end with 1-2 half-assed moves and without exerting himself. So it's by default mid-diff.
