Madara lost to Hashirama because he got outlasted, Madara is a God whose Achilles was his Uchiha heritage, Senjus have godly stamina, Uchihas have Godly power.

All this analogy shows is that the swords block the force from the impact of the ball. Not the explosion itself which is many times larger than the Armored Person/Susanoo as there is no way for the swords to absorb any impact from the explosion itself.

It doesn't just absorb the impact from the velocity it was thrown, but also considerably lessens the overall damage take from the explosion because it was intact still in front of the susanoo before it did explode, therefore we can conclude that the swords also took a considerable amount of damage from the explosion.

Hey guys, lets try to keep this as a mature debate, whether or not you choose to believe me or not.

Alright first, the scan from the TBB hitting Madara:

When this chapter came out, most of us believed that Madara's Susanoo actually tanked a full on TBB. Carefully looking at the bottom panel of the picture above proves otherwise. You'll notice Madara's swords take the full brunt of the attack. Now these are the exact same swords that are said to have the ability to cut through a mountain in a single swipe. As seen here:

Now seeing that the swords took the full brunt of the attack, we may never know if a Susanoo can take a well placed TBB. :scorps:

clearly trolling.

Susanoo's swords have been shown to be weaker than it's rib cage. How would susanoo's body not be able to do the same?

When tsunade got stabbed she broke the sword.

Susano'o swords are weaker than Susano'o itself, so you didn't prove anything. Which means that TBB is not quite there where it's hyped to be, if sword can block it at point blank range, when Tsunade broke it easily. TBB of a larger size would have no effect on the body itself.

They may be weaker, but it still took some of the damage that the susanoo didn't, so we can't say that the susanoo body itself fully took on a TBB. Remember, the susanoo madara was using back then was an incomplete form of susanoo, so the swords were likely weaker too.

Compare the sword size of the one used on tsunade to the one he used against the TBB. The swords used on tsunade were somewhat longer than tsunades height and were about as wide as her torso. The ones used on the TBB were comparable to the size of kuramas arm, and kurama is one of the largest beings in the NV, so there is definitely a difference in strength of the swords between the two.

Nice counter statement

^ No one suggested that these were the same swords. I merely pointed out that the swords have shown to be weaker than Susano'o itself, which should apply to CS as well, regardless of the higher tier.

A sword is meant for offensive purposes more than defensive. It blocked a TBB. Imagine what the Susano'o itself could do, considering it is meant for defence.

Considering I only had one supporter, I'm going to explain it in full.

I'm not saying the Susanoo can't tank a tbb. I'm simply stating there is no proof of such an occurrence. We haven't seen a Susanoo of any caliber tank a TBB, so therefore no one can say it can. Also, despite the fact the swords took most of the damage, that doesn't mean the susanoo itself could not have taken the whole of it. I'm again, simply stating that the Susanoo hasn't been proven to take it.

Now the swords could only actually tank the TBB because it negated the destructive power. The power it takes to slice a mountain with Madara's sword is at least on par or slightly less than the power of a TBB. That's why on the scan you could see the explosion on the swords.

There's no reason as to why Madara would force his Susanoo to pull up its swords, besides the fact he wanted to block the tbb. It's clear he knew he would atleast slow it down to some degree, which he did.

Another analogy:

Say someone tosses a grenade at you, and you have a plank of wood and a some Kevlar on. Are you going to let the grenade explode on the Kevlar, or hit it with the plank of wood. Obviously the wood because you hope to redirect at least a slight bit of the blast. Then the Kevlar being the backup protection. You would never not put your hands up when something is thrown at you, unless you don't see it. It's human nature.

Thank you for all your replies, and even your neg reps. It's good to know people actually read my OP and some of my posts :).

This is the only problem here. The force of Madara putting his sword up in front of him would need to match the force of him swinging his sword to cut a mountain which is physically impossible. That's like saying me raising my arms in front of me creates the same amount of my force as me swinging my arms when it clearly doesn't. So you can't say that the swords matched its destructive power.
