Without letting go of the boys hand Emily channels ice chakra into her own causing her skin to become incredibly cold, her stern grip coupled with the intense chill numbs his hand completely.
"You know that Batman villain Mr.Freeze? I can be ten times worse."
Emily lifts herself to her feet and strokes the dirt from her backside, an action which comes across surprising sensually to onlookers. Once satisfied she picks up a fair sized rock from the ground and throws it gently toward the boy, as she does so she begins to walk over to the site where her pit was once formed, bending over she picks up the cane she had created before.
"Remember this?"
She says, as she grabs the cane and spins toward the boy.
"This is the next step. Shape manipulation, instead of just a rough thing coming from the ground, this time you need to turn that rock into something very precise. You may add detail to your own liking, I prefer to leave mine pretty blank... Except for this"
Holding the staff out in front of her she gestures with a single finger toward a symbol on the stick, a double infinity.
"It holds a very special place in my heart, so I like to include it wherever possible. As I said though, how you design your staff is entirely your doing. Hold the rock tightly, as you would a sword then paint a picture in your mind. Once the picture is clear you need to use your earth chakra to mold the rock into an exact replica of said picture. Once you're done, give that tree a whack, hopefully your creation won't fall apart."
She gestures to a tree nearby before her own staff turns to dust and settles idly on the ground.

When Neji receives the rock into his hand & listens to Emily-Senpai's explanation, he begins to concentrate deeply. Once he pictures the sword in his mind, he then focuses in able to use shape manipulation. The rock blade is 47 inches in length and it's hilt is 13 inches. On the very lower portion of the sword blade, Kanji is inscribed vertically into it: 戦いせず諦め決して (Never give up without a fight). On the hilt, it takes the form of a standard katana; a diagonal pattern in placed onto and the Tsuba takes the form similar of a 3 tomoe Sharingan.
On the end of the hilt, is a small dragon's head with very detailed scales, whiskers & teeth.
When Neji is finished molding out his sword, he walks over to the nearby tree which Emily pointed to. After doing so, he gets into his kenjutsu stance and makes a "X" shape slash at the tree and manages to take a medium sized chunk off the tree. "Oi Senpai, take a look at this."

For RP and training purposes, that was perfect. Although I should let you know that you are unable to use the technique to make a sword, Earth simply cannot be manipulated in that way, it is for blunt force, not cutting. ^_^ The performance of the tech was perfect though. x

Taking the earthen creation from her student, Emily examines it thoroughly. She brushes her fingers across the smooth edge and tests its balance as one would with a real sword. With the creation balanced across a single finger, Emily channels chakra through her hand, turning the blade to rubble.
"Lesson 1. This technique, although useful, is not brilliantly strong. Don't become too attached."

As the earth crumbles and falls to the ground Emily bends over in order to brush the falling dirt from her clothes. Upon cleaning herself up she approaches her student, stepping round him she stands with her front to his back and grabs his left hand in hers, bringing their hands up in front of his face, she speaks.
"Any questions before we move on? It only gets harder from here."

With their hands out in front of his face, Emily lets go of the boys wrist and moves her hand a few inches from his. As she does so, she begins to speak again. Her voice is soft and quiet as her mouth rests just inches from his left ear.
"Now that we've covered using earth from large and small sources, we have to learn to create our own."
A the close of her sentence she swings her extended arm across their bodies and releases many rocks in a ring formation, the rocks travel through the air and hit a large rock, each bouncing off in its own direction. She then places her hand within his again and relaxes her arm completely.
"Do you feel the weight? In order to create earth you must become it, it's strength and its power comes from within you. So, concentrate and when you are ready channel chakra through your arm and do exactly as I just did. Also, in battle you'll face many distractions, and you'll have to learn to do these things under pressure. So, ignore the distractions okay?"
Emily begins to run her finger down his arm, turning her head slightly she aims her breath to roll down his neck. With her free hand she pulls his body closer to hers, despite her attempts to put him off, her eyes never leave his arm as she watches for his technique usage.

After completing the previous the last technique, Neji couldn't help but notice Emily coming close to his ear and whispering the next step of training. As she is speaking, he thinks to himself, ~Alright, gotcha; creating our own.~ When she is finished speaking, Neji watches on as Emily-Senpai creates a ring of rocks that float around and guide it to hit a nearby boulder. As she is finished explaining on what to do next, he nods and replies, "Power.. from within me? I think I see where you're getting at." It took him only a little while to grasp what Emily just said but he quickly understood. After uttering those short words, Neji closes his eyes and begins to focus. However while he is doing so, he feels the breath of his senpai rolling down his neck and her fingers running down his forearm as he performs the next technique. ~Talking about distractions, good grief! I don't even know if were training anymore.~
While still concentrating, he begins to concentrate as he is mustering up his chakra. As he is doing this, he builds up us a pretty sufficient amount of his chakra and proceeds to mold said chakra inside of his forearm and uses nature manipulation to create very dense rock. When Neji is finished building up his doton chakra, he finally forces it up though his wrist and out the hand, releasing multiple small rocks that position themselves into a ring formation. After creating the ring of rocks, he uses his chakra to guide them into a nearby rock and the blunt force of the flying boulder's attack crush it into oblivion.

The moment the technique succeeds Emily stops what she was doing and steps away from the boy. She watches the excitement pulse clearly through his veins, his shaking body and clenched fist a dead give away. She smiles upon watching him turn and smile at her, through her joyous mind she speaks.
"Excellent, you're a real natural. It's good to see you're enjoying yourself also."

"Those were the three basic techniques available to us as of now, we will come back to the last one later. Firstly though, we need to ove on to the next level of earth technique, and with the next level comes a new way of using earth. This is probably the use with the most risk and difficulty involved, but then it also comes with a very big possible payoff."
She takes a knee and places her palm on the earth, as her hand begins to merge slowly into the ground, she speaks.
"This next method allows you to become one with the earth, not mentally. But physically. By channelling your earth chakra into the ground you turn the ground you touch into fine sand, this grants you the ability to pass through the earth with relative ease. As long as you keep your chakra flowing, you will be able to move freely underground. I warn you though, you cannot stop channelling your chakra until you are completely clear of the ground, otherwise the ground will turn solid again and you trap yourself forever. Something I'm sure I don't have to tell you is bad."
She removes her hand from the ground and shakes the sand from her fingers before standing up and speaking once more.
"Give it a go, start with something simple, a single body part. Once you get more confident with it, try to merge your whole body and move around under the earth. Then come back to the surface in a new location."

With those words, he begins to concentrate. As he is doing this, Neji begins to gather up a sufficient amount of his chakra. After doing so, he molds that built up chakra into doton and proceeds to channel said chakra into the ground. When this happens, the ground below him turns to fine sand and he starts to sink into it. Fully submerged, he constantly channels a steady amount of chakra into the rocky deep soil, so that he is able to dig through the newly formed sand. While Neji is still digging, he thinks to himself. ~How am I supposed to see where I am anyways?~
After a 15 or so seconds, he was ready to come out the ground and proceeded to dig upwards. As Neji emerged from the ground, he found himself a good seven meters away from Emily, who was watching him perform the technique. With a loud yell, Neji called out to her with a question. "Oi! How am I supposed to see where I'm going if I'm underground?" While he is saying this, he crawls fully out of this sand and halts his chakra channeling.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique
Averting her eyes to his new position Emily watches as he rises from the ground, in her head she prays that he won't release the technique early... thankfully, he doesn't. Listening to his words, she cannot help but let out a laugh.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to that. Once you perfect the technique you'll be able to sense what's happening on the surface... Don't ask me how... It's a ninja thing."
Emily takes a single step back as she continues her speech.
"I need you to do the technique again anyway, so use your time underground to get the sense... Once you have that, I want you to position yourself beneath me, grab my feet from below, and pull me underground with you. Please leave my head above gronud though... I won't be able to breath under their you know. Firstly, turn around, when I say go drop straight below ground, do not look at me."
As her student turns, Emily leaps three times to her right before shouting
"Go!"

When listening to Emily's explanation, Neji nods. "Sure thing, just wait right there." Once again, Neji begins to gather up a sufficient amount of his chakra. After doing so, he molds that built up chakra into doton and proceeds to channel said chakra into the ground. When this happens, the ground below him turns to fine sand and he starts to sink into it. Fully submerged, he constantly channels a steady amount of chakra into the rocky deep soil, so that he is able to dig through the newly formed sand. This time, he digs all the way towards his senpai until he is almost directly below her. Once he does this, forces his arm out of the ground, grabs Emily's right leg and pulls down into the earth; he stops dragging when only her head is visible.
After doing so, he moves a few feet away before emerging from the ground and walks over while dusting off his shoulder. "And how was that?"

Watching as her student drops into he ground, Emily prepares herself by placing her arms above her head. As she feels his grip on her ankle she relaxes as her pulls her into the ground, leaving her head above ground as she had said (her shoulders and arms also remain above ground as her stance would permit. As her student emerges, Emily does as well, a slight crackle can be heard as she pulls her body from the earth.
"Perfect, you're really starting to get the hang of this now. Before we move on, other than its ability to restrict the opponent almost completely, can you tell me any other uses of that technique? I assure you it has many... if not different uses, tell me why it comes in handy."
Whilst her student is left to think about her question Emily takes the time to brush the dirt from her clothes. She also removes the hairband from her hair, allowing it to fall loosely over her shoulders in a much more comfortable fashion.

Dust free and beautiful, Emily returns her focus to her student.
"Excellent, seems you have previous experience with the technique. Don't look back on it too harshly, experience is the best way to learn. Even if it does go differently to how you'd like. So, this next technique is a little different. You're manipulating earth that is far further away than you can touch, and you perform the whole thing above ground. Watch and repeat."
Emily focuses on a spot of land in the distance before giving a single hand seal which causes multiple sections of jagged rock to rise from the ground in the distance.
"Firstly, you want to focus your earth chakra in certain points of the earth, keeping small pockets of chakra spread around any area you may want. Once you've done that, perform the Ram handseal and cause the rock imbued with your chakra to rise from the ground, at which point they are completely under your control."
She then performs a small gesture in which she locks her palms together and causes the small pieces of rock to join together into two larger chunks of rock, roughly the size of a human, only far more dense.
"Use you chakra to bring the rocks together like you just saw, forming two large pieces of rock as opposed to the original lot of smaller ones."
She nods her head and the rocks crash together, breaking down into rubble under the strength of the impact.
"Smash them together. Simple enough. If you have no questions, go ahead and try it for yourself."

She then performs a small gesture in which she locks her palms together and causes the small pieces of rock to join together into two larger chunks of rock, roughly the size of a human, only far more dense.
"Use you chakra to bring the rocks together like you just saw, forming two large pieces of rock as opposed to the original lot of smaller ones."
She nods her head and the rocks crash together, breaking down into rubble under the strength of the impact.
"Smash them together. Simple enough. If you have no questions, go ahead and try it for yourself."

Neji sighs a little. "Eh, I guess so." As Emily is explaining the next technique he nods sincerely with the understanding of the concept of the next technique(s) being taught to him. "Alrighty then, it shouldn't be too hard." As he says those words, Neji begins to gather up a sufficient amount of his chakra. After doing so, he molds that built up chakra into doton and proceeds to channel said chakra into the ground and spreads it in a circle-like pattern. When this happens, he uses shape manipulation to make the earth rise from the ground. "Like this?"
After doing the other technique, he looks over to Emily who points to a nearby rock and smashes them together. When Neji is instructed to do the same, he completely turns his body to perform the next technique. Momentarily, Neji begins to gather up a sufficient amount of his chakra. After doing so, he molds that built up chakra into doton and proceeds to channel said chakra into the rocks in front of him. When he does this, he manages to send the rocks towards each other and create two large rock pieces.
Once Neji does this, he uses his chakra that is flowing in the rocks themselves to smash them together which results in the creation of smaller rocks made from the impact.
