I think it was his destiny all along b/c of that curse mark he received. And believe me when I found out he was deceased, I was in shock and just couldn't believe Kishi would do that cuz I didn't really think he would do that to one of the K11. They're like the most important shinobi heroes in Naruto who I like the most. But I think its b/c his death is what gave both Naruto and the shinobi alliance the courage to not lose the war or any battles

Hashi wasn't killed by madara :| no one knows yet if so i don't remember.
and nagato's death had a reason he understood what he did wrong and trusted naruto to help him find peace.

His death showed one is bound to destiny one way or another, he would have a better representation if he did not reach his freedom with death, that's a human right yet he died like a loyal dog for main family...That's horrible to me.
Anyway i have said what i can say about this many times before won't do it again.

he choose to protect hinata and naruto. he wasnt forced due to having the curse mark, it wasnt the same neji and beat hinata to near death in part 1, he choose to protect her not that he had to.
