1 bug no, a mass of bug sending chakra at the same time yes. Something like 15-25 bugs sending chakra at the same time would be enough to break you from most genjutsus, 35-40 just to be sure. No need to make it a cj, I say.

Alrighty then I wont lol. I have many more bugs than that so I'd say I'm good ^^

Genjutsu: Kokohin (Illusion Technique: False surrounding)

Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).

Reading the jutsu it's description it has no medium. If it has no medium, how is it cast?

Funny I was going to ask you the same question. I would think that if it has no medium then the requirement would be that the caster has to maintain vision of the opponent.

Nope. If it has no medium, it uses Handseals. Remember Temple of Nirvana, Kabuto put a whole arena to sleep, he didn't have visual contact with every single target.

Oh ahh I see. I always just thought there needed to be some form of contact. Alright then.

Well, if there's some sort of chakra repulsion barrier, you won't be able to put your opponent in a genjutsu through Handseals. Something as simple as an all around constant emission of water from your mouth, since it's still heavily charged with your chakra it cuts your opponent's. But this are very punctual defenses. A more permanent would only be achieved through Fuuin jutsus.

As for other mediums, you only to block the medium, such not allowing eye-contact on Doujutsu Genjutsu, or throwing away the vibrations from sound-induced Genjutsu with Wind Jutsus, etc etc.

Hmm I see never knew something like the water barrier would work in a situation like that. I'll try to keep thinking of ways to avoid/break genjutsu. I actually did use the bugs to break it like we talked about too!

The ones I told you are ways to avoid, not actually break. Because once you're caught on the genjutsu, the previous methods do not work. Just to make it clear, if you are caught n a genjutsu, enveloping yourself in a dome of water won't break it, won't remove you from the spell.

Yeah definitely. Question. When you're caught in a genjutsu, how long does the illusion last? With some genjutsu I find myself just wanting to let the jutsu happen if its not really a big deal. For example there's a genjutsu that makes you think the ground is shaking and it makes you lose balance but I feel like you could work around it.

Unless they state the duration in the jutsu, it last indefinitely. It sucks, I know.

Anywho, as for the genjutsu I posted.

I do not know how many hand seals you need exactly, but lets just say about 3-5 handseals, nothing much. After making the handseals, you will be able to change the way your opponent or opponents see the world around themselves. Instead of a desert, you can make them see a forest. Instead of the ocean you can make them see a mountain, etc. Not only that, you can even change how objects look. That is the most important characteristic of the jutsu, can you think of ways to use it in a battle? I want you to come up at least with 3 different ways of efficiently use this genjutsu in battle.

1) The user can make the opponent believe that they are seeing a wall of earth rise in front of them obstructing their vision of the user, but in reality the user can still see them and this leaves them open for attack.

2) The user can make the user believe that the user has released a large amount of water and that they are in standing on a lake. Leading the opponent to believe they are now restricted in Earth jutsu and ground lightning based attacks. This is boring actually, how about make the opponent believe that the area has been swarmed with colorful poisonous snakes.

3) The user can make the opponent believe that the area around them (short ranged of course) has dimmed to nighttime, once again limiting their vision.

To the first, excellent! One of the great uses of this technique is making your opponent blind to you, while you can still see it perfectly. Besides, the fact that you grew an earth wall makes it believable, and thus less likely for the opponent to realize he/she's in a genjutsu.

The second 1 started out sort of fine, and I liked the idea of making the opponent think he shouldn't use certain elements. Work on that.

The third one no. While it is possible, it serves the same purpose as the first one, I want different usages. Besides, rising an earth wall is more realistic that suddenly becoming night. Although it could have it's uses.

So you still owe me 2 different usages.

hmm ok

1) use the genjutsu to make walls of earth rise up close on the side of you and the opponent making them think you're now in a trench, then use a water shock wave (or higher lvl) to "fill" the "trench" forcing the opponent to have to defend against it with very limited options.

2) turn the ground into a large black and white rotating swirl beneath us throwing off the opponents depth perception and equilibrium/balance.

I like the second one, but you could also do that by actually changing the surroundings.

Explain me the first one better. What would the opponent think?

Well with the first one the opponent would see themselves and the genjutsu user tightly enclosed in a narrow space. Then the user could then send water or make the the water a part of the genjutsu. The opponent would think it were real and that they are about to be drowned. They wouldnt have space to move around much to dodge so they'd be forced to defend against the fake water with limited means while the genjutsu user is free to move around and follow up attack as they please.

Hum... I see... limiting the movement freedom your opponent has... Sounds really nice.

Other uses:

1) if your fighting on a pleatue (or any raised surface) you could use this this to make your opponent think that the battle ground is larger than it is (so they fall off the side of the pleatue)

2) you can make your opponent think your holding a kunai when your holding a sword so they misjugde the length of the weapon and cant properly defend themself

3) you could make a kunai with a exploding tag look like a bird that flies near but not hit them so they dont defend since they just see a bird they wond defend and they get hit by the exploding tag

Yeah, this jutsu can be used for all sorts of things, keep that in mind and don't focus only on 1 usage.
