Tamaki witnessed Adachi stroll ever-so-calmly over to what were now embers, and he put out the remaining flames with the bottom of his foot. Tamaki listened as Adachi spoke. As he had said, Tamaki liked the idea of using distractions during battle, as they always had a pretty good chance of creating an opening no matter what the situation. He agreed with Adachi, nodding as Adachi explained how the sense of sight was the best way to gather information during a fight. When Adachi congratulated him, Tamaki beamed. He finally said: “Thanks a lot.”
Tamaki didn’t look away for a moment as Adachi created a Kage Bunshin. Instead, he looked between the two Adachis with a puzzled expression. It was indeed difficult to tell which one was the real Adachi. When the one on the right started describing handseals, Tamaki thought that it was the original. Yet, when the one on the right gestured to the other, calling it his clone, Tamaki smirked a little. So he was wrong; the one on the left was the real Adachi. He listened as his sensei gave him a new set of instructions. Tamaki nodded. “Okay. I’ll try my best!”
(OOC: That’s actually a great visual example haha. xD That’s a good thing to tell people each time you teach this technique.)
When Adachi moved away from his clone, Tamaki prepared himself. He recalled Adachi’s instructions to the letter. He faced Adachi’s clone square on. Like the last technique he had performed, Tamaki thought that this jutsu was also straightforward, so it could again be used as a distraction in the midst of battle. Tamaki moved on to picturing the jutsu in his mind, the current in which his Raiton chakra should take form. He utilized some chakra traveling through his chakra system and started creating Raiton chakra. He once again focused on the buzzing sensation he felt as he accumulated enough. He formed the handseals Tiger, Snake, and Dog, just like Adachi had told him to.
“Raiton: Ikazuchi Kashou!”
Tamaki thrusted his arms forward, his palms aimed at Adachi’s clone. He released his chakra from his hands, and his Raiton chakra materialized into a burst of lightning. As the lightning shot toward the clone, Tamaki concentrated on creating the current that he had envisioned, and sure enough, the lightning came and flowed together in a straight line. However, Tamaki also remembered Adachi’s words: there isn’t a single target focus this time, but more on a wide-spread area. He became briefly distracted by his thoughts, causing the current to fluctuate. When he noticed, Tamaki tightened his control once more until the lightning indeed pierced Adachi’s clone right through the middle. After the clone disappeared on contact, the lightning branched out rapidly and dispersed. Tamaki groaned inwardly, hating the fact that he had let himself get distracted.
He turned to Adachi and considered Adachi’s request to explain handseals. “Well, handseals are generally used for ninjutsu and genjutsu to focus the user’s chakra to a certain area of his body. This can be especially important because specific techniques can be used strictly from the hands, feet, or other parts of the body. Most importantly, though, the amount of chakra necessary for a technique is manipulated through handseals, which can be vital depending on the technique.”
“As for how this technique may or may not be advantageous,” Tamaki continued. “it could possibly be very advantageous if the user focuses on using the technique in a wide-spread area. More enemies could be affected, making this technique very useful for attacking multiple enemies. However, as with the last jutsu, this technique could be rather obvious, and the enemy could see it coming because of how straightforward it is.”
Tamaki stood there, his eyebrow furrowed in frustration. I SO could have done better… he thought to himself.
