However, using this as an example is absurd. Not a word was mentioned about Itachi's abilities. They were talking about what Itachi stood for. Therefore, Hashirama couldn't have made a judgment call that Itachi was stronger than him because Hashirama died before he was born and had no clue of what he was capable of.

Then how was Itachi better than Hashirama? Given that the discussion was about his ideals, Hashirama must have been saying that Itachi's ninja way is better than his was. This is the conclusion that makes the most sense. If you're going to support Itachi, don't mindlessly ramble that he's better :devil:. Tell me why!

of course he didn't mean itachi was stronger, just a finer ninja. he was able to do something hashi couldnt bring himself to do until it got too far. Hashi didn't want to kill Madara, even though he was a threat to the village, for a long time. on the other hand, Itachi wiped out his whole family except for his brother to protect the village. In regards to what a shinobi is, hashirama was saying that itachi was better than him. But in regards of power... he meant no such thing. And he couldnt say Itachi is stronger than him because hes never seen him fight or fought him.

Im not trying to hype itachi here, i can bring him down if i wish.
I just hate the unjustified hype hashi has got. So he can make biggest wooden doll ever, but this doesnt make him best fighter. He was called god of shinobi? So was hiruzen.
He has no counters for genjutsu or amaterasu or kamui. His taijutsu isnt well known, neither speed. Wood is all he got.
His budda even fails to protect him, hashi is simply on top of it, u can freely target him there, susanoo at least really protects the user.
