I'm going with Itachi when it comes to fightning alone but when it comes to team work Kakashi is the guy to go to, over all i'm going with itachi to being a superior ninja even people who claimed his stamina to being horrible in stamina he still manage to defeat many more then in ration of success kakashi. If you want Itachi = Kakashi you're going to have to restrict Itachi's Mangekyou.
And still, he could most likely put Kakashi under some type of genjutsu.

Besides, I'd say that Kakashi does have the advantage in Ninjutsu, but Itachi is better in Taijutsu and Genjutsu.

I used to think that Kakashi could beat Itachi.

I like both of these characters a lot, but Kakashi can't beat Itachi. The only arguments I'm seeing are that Kakashi has more Ninjutsu, he can use Kamui, and he can use shadow clones.

1) I really don't think that knowing a few more Ninjutsu is going to help him much against Itachi.

2) Yata mirror can counter kamui, and Kakashi is a sitting duck after using it.

3) I'm amazed this is an argument. Shadow clones? Really? Itachi can use shadow clones too, and he's not going to have much trouble taking out clones. Clones also seem to drain Kakashi's chakra pretty quickly too.

Kakashi isn't able to counter susanoo, amaterasu or tsukuyomi. Itachi has more stamina, and he's got better genjutsu and two jutsu. I'm also inclined to believe that he's slightly more intelligent.

I seriously doubt that Kakashi can use kamui well enough to snipe Itachi's neck. What's to stop Itachi using amaterasu while Kakashi is trying get his neck with kamui?

Itachis susanoo is only good for melee range. We did not see live Itachi use any ranged jutsu in susanoo. Plus we know he cant keep it up for long because its painful.
