Lee and Gai are not the best taijutsu users

The only thing they have is speed, thats it.

Lee has never won a fight when the opponent can cancel out taijutsu. Gaara wrecked Lee, Kimmimaro was going to wreck Lee.

This actually makes them the worst taijutsu users, if in a non-taijutsu battle.

Gai only took down Kisame because he didn't have knowledge of Hirodura, otherwise he would have blocked or got out of the way.

People who can use taijutsu and add it to their abilities are the ones who are the "best".

For example NEJI can uses taijutsu and uses his Byakugan, and use his chakra to create powerful attacks.

First of all, Gaara didn't "wreck" Lee. Gaara BARELY defeated him, only managing to do so thanks to one blink which lasted for a fraction of a second. If you call it wrecking, something is wrong with you. Also, do I need to remind you that Lee was the first person every who managed to hurt Gaara at all? Not only that, he was close to defeating him. Give credit where credit is due.

Against Kimimaro - are you really that surprised that sick Lee who escaped from hospital was defeated by the guy stronger than Sound Four together? Even in this condition, Lee STILL gave Kimimaro quite a fight.

Gai defeated Kisame twice. Even if the first time was a version of Kisame having 30% of his chakra, he STILL didn't manage to use it all up before he got his ass handed. Don't cry that Guy used a technique which was the best counter against Kisame, that's pathetic. It's part of his arsenal, so what's the problem?

If Madara is the best Taijutsu user then way in the Manga Enduring part two they said Taijutsu fighters to take on Madara because that was His weakness. It was Lee who landed blows against Madara in the chapter even if Naruto gave Him power it landed Madara could not bloom the speed attack. Oh The First Hokage use taijutsu along with Ninjutsu to defeat Madara in His day.
