Thanks, that means it's a piece of cake when it comes to dojutsu users. I will keep that in mind.

When it comes to this genjutsu the huge problem are the leaves that surround the opponent and drop. Like ( Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape the non physical leaves play a big part. The fear of the leaves being a CE plus the fact that the surround the opponent, will naturally make the opponent feel trapped which can be good and bad. It can be good because the opponent will be forced to hesitate, bad because entrapment will force the opponent to react. Any form of physical contact on the leaves will go straight through. Once the opponent notices the intangibility of the leaves, he will realise it is a genjutsu before the leaves even have time to drop. The swirling of the leaves should make a sound, (Emphasis on the word swirling) if no sound comes from the circling leaves it means they aren't real. (Even though that isn't a strong case against this genjutsu) The leaves that surround the opponent give the user a great amount of time whilst concealing his movement. But the user must expect an irrational reaction especially if the leaves drop. The real problem for an opponent, is the limited time he or she has to figure the illusion out. Because once the leaves fall they will almost certainly faint, vomit, shake uncontrollably, etc. Once the leaves fall the opponent is practically a sitting duck unless the fear forces them to react and use a jutsu on the image. But if it is true fear the chances of that are so minimal. There are hardly any shinobi that would wait for the leaves to drop without reacting. (Due to the uncertainty of the leaves intentions). As a user it would be wiser to hit your trapped opponent with a long/mid ranged attack because if they act out with a wide scale attack to get rid of the leaves or in fear react with a powerful quick jutsu you will have some time to defend or evade the attack. The leaves won't instantly cover the users movements so the time in which the user decides to move must be on point. Otherwise the opponent can aim to get rid of you and the leaves in one move. Making it a lethal way to figure out the genjutsu. (Opponent would notice the leaves are intangible at the same time) The following attack after using technique, like after most genjutsu is extremely important and when it comes to this one your attack should be extremely fast, due to all the faults in the leaves..

Lets break this one down

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

This genjutsu is handy for those who intend to ensnare their opponent. It is also great for users who want to divert their opponent if they are charging at them. The obvious flaw is that this genjutsu needs to be cast on an opponent who is running in a straight line. It's not exactly a short range genjutsu because if your opponent is running at you. The time it takes for the genjutsu to take affect and the time it takes for his strides forward to become more circular. (Changing direction won't happen that suddenly especially considering the opponents momentum.) Doing it too close (depending on your opponents attack) might result in you still taking some damage. Another problem is it's unpredictability, you can never be certain which way the circle will go. The illusion is nice and simple, it doesn't change things too drastically for the opponent to instantly realise the genjutsu's effect. The flaws in the genjutsu rely on the terrain itself. The user will still have the ability to feel, smell and hear. Meaning that the repetitive nature of his surroundings can be his ally. If you running in a linear fashion and you pass a shadow of trees to attack your opponent in an open field. You wouldn't expect to feel a shadow again, the repetitive nature of the genjutsu would force the user to run in and out of the shadow repeatedly. The transition from darkness to light and from hot to cold would make it easy to decipher the genjutsu. But generally you wouldn't have that amount of time. Your ears and the air you generate while running is the key. When one changes direction especially at a high speed they will hear the sound of the wind whizzing past their ears decreases. Running in a circular motion will decrease their speed and the impression of the air. The air hitting/all over the opponents body will decrease as he or she begins to change direction. The pressure of running in a circle will put tension on the outer ankle which will be used to stabilise the rotational jogging pattern. A detail that might not be enough but it is a detail nonetheless. It is quite a simple genjutsu to escape and get caught into for those who pay attention to detail.

Amazing. However I would like to add though that it's easy to be recognized that it's a genjutsu, the point being is that it creates an opening for an attack. This is a tool and a good one at that so that you can attack. Nonetheless your reply is spot on.

Ha ha ha that is so true... It's such an obvious thing it would make the opponent a sitting duck especially with their backs being so exposed..

To answer your question.. Well, its definitely not my proudest moment. I created an account in May to get Naruto episodes but I didn't even think of bothering to see what the forum was like. (I know you don't have to have an account to get episodes..:sy:) I actually clicked on the forums by accident in October, read around, figured things out and became an active member...

This genjutsu requires a stationary opponent which is quite a hassle to get when it comes to the heat of battle (Unless the battle has just begun) Opponents generally don't stay in place and wait for your attacks to hit them. What makes it worse is that it requires physical contact in order for it to work effectively . You can use tai to make it work but the sudden shift from combat to friend will make the opponent instantly realise something is off.(Especially if their stance is stiff or in a defensive position plus during a tai fight your opponent doesn't stay still either.) Now this genjutsu requires a lot of skill from the user when it comes to questioning and speaking to the opponent once they have fallen under. Similar to hypnosis, the mind will pick things apart and try to cling to reality. Simple mannerisms will give this genjutsu away, hence the rank difference issue I assume. The two simple rules that make this genjutsu work are it's biggest challenge besides the actual effect of the genjutsu being difficult to maintain. Prevention is better than a cure in this case. There are countless ways to not get caught in this genjutsu but not too many when you are trapped in it. Because this genjutsu doesn't effect anything else besides your perception of the user which makes it quite difficult to figure out. When caught in it you need to cling onto the mannerisms of your opponent that seem odd and the fact that your opponent isn't the best interrogator. Random invasive and difficult questions force the brain to be recognitive and it will allow you to realise things are off. These small details like "Why would you ask such a question at this time?" or "That is all too sudden?" Will help you recognise it is a genjutsu in a few seconds without the user getting any information. This genjutsu requires a lot finesse to execute correctly. (Only highly skilled users should even attempt this due to the amount of implications the genjutsu has before it even starts.)

No problem at all... I completely understand...=D (Plus it's worth the wait)
*Cracks knuckles then rotates neck* Alright let's do this...

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire

This genjutsu is simple enough to understand, The best point about this genjutsu is the fact that it definitely will distract the opponent. Creating a huge window of opportunity, especially considering the fact that they have to come up with a solution (Which takes time) The shock and awe allows the user to grab the moment but, the user cannot make their moves too obvious due to the fact that they will reveal to their opponent it is a genjutsu. Example: Rushing at your opponent or moving closer will give it away. Because anyone who rushes towards someone who has a huge fireball is rushing upon them is crazy but it isn't alot but stuff like that will reduce mistakes. Deducing it is simply, heat, light and sound. These are what a user must cling onto so you don't waste chakra or time because the chances of being hit by an attack from the user is high. If it doesn't give off light it isn't a real flame, is you can't hear it sizzle especially since it is coming from a high altitude. (The higher you are the colder it gets, can get technical about it but I am sure you know what I mean. I can explain more about it if you would like me to ) The real kicker with this genjutsu is heat. The amount heat that a large fireball would generate is enormous. You would feel the warmth of the ball of fire ages before the ball hits you. Which gives you a lot of time to react and counter the oncoming attack given by the user..

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique

Quick question: When an opponent hits the clone while it's running with a projectile (Kunai) or any other attack that isn't physical contact. Will the kunai go straight through the clone or will the clone explode? (I suspect that the kunai will go through it but I really am not certain.)

ok i don't know if you have learned fire or not, but most of the time it comes from the mouth, underneath, or something like that. Rarely it will form from above without some release point. That is a big give a way, because you just don't form a fireball that scale out of no where. I say most of the time because there could be some CJ's like that floating around. So be careful.

Questions?

Just started katon..:shy: That makes perfect sense( Sneaky CJ's)... I even posted the fact in my training that fire doesn't just a appear it has to grow, ignite or start from somewhere... :sy: I have no more questions, besides the one you forgot to answer in the previous post...

Oh sorry, i forgot to answer that. The clone that is a regular type that has no physical pressence but just an illusion the kunai will go straight through. Like that clone technique that is E ranked. The Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, it will disperse once the kunai hits the clone.

Next!

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

I didn't break this one down...

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique

The key to breaking this one down is the fact that the clone has no physical presence at all. Throwing kunai will reveal that it is a genjutsu right away, any form of attack will allow the opponent to figure this out. It is highly unlikely that an opponent will not attack the clone charging them. (Unless the opponent wants to engage in tai confrontation then the circumstances change and this genjutsu will be succesful.)The actions of the clone are extremely suspicious so this genjutsu can fail on many level, so the user has to be quite descriptive regarding the manner of running/approach the clone has towards the opponent. Once the genjutsu is administered the user has very little time to act against his opponent. The clone can be a great distraction but this will only last for so long. Large scale attacks will give your clone away, so then you might as well us a Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Knowing how to use the clone effectively as a distraction is what makes this genjutsu special. Well thought out following actions can make this genjutsu work correctly. This genjutsu does not conceal you so you can't act as if you are intangible, your movements will still be as real as they were before the genjutsu was cast.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow

This jutsu creates a huge opening in your opponents defence if they comply with it. The time it takes for you to sway your weapon back and forth can waste precious seconds. A huge issue is the fact that the opponent will witness the sword turning into arms. Though that can also be mistaken for a jutsu. The reaction towards it is weak. Because I hardly think anyone would stand and observe arms appearing with out reacting. The fact that your opponent is free is a downfall. To survive this genjutsu you don't even need to break free from it. This is the kind of genjutsu a coward would survive nicely in. The sword turning into arms is a small problem because the user will obviously see the sword before you do the waving action allowing them to be constantly alert to counter a sword. Another problem is that if genjutsu is performed and the user has a sword or throws a kunai at you. You will be forced to defend which will give away the swords identity if steel meets steel(sound). The waving acting of a thin and wide set blade swaying will generate a little sound metallic sound depending on the speed of that swaying. This jutsu has to be performed at a short range because the element of surprise will be taken away and the user will either create distance or attack you. (which could work depending on your circumstances.) This jutsu should be used on someone who doesn't wield a weapon.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion

Now this genjutsu is fun because the disappearing can easily be a body flicker so the opponent can't really capitalise on that fact alone. Even more so is the fact that the vines that grow can also be assumed as a CE or a CJ. Making it even trickier to break out of. But like all genjutsu there is always a simple way to get out of it. The fact that the plants grow from the ground at such a rate can help you with your deduction. The fact that the ground doesn't move when they spur from the ground makes a better observation. If vines had to grow from the ground at that rate, they would create a sound as they split the earth to rise out of it. If you are on sand you can notice the fact that no dust is generated from this. but you must beware of the time frame at all times. The paralytic state is enduced by the wrapping of the vines, so it gives the opponent a few precious seconds to create distance and analyse. Even though he/she is trapped in a genjutsu distance is still relevant. Back tracking away from the vines (running away) will help increase the chance of you making realistic deductions. Trying to hit the vines with a jutsu will also save you when it comes to this, as the element or even kunai will go straight through the vines exposing the fact that they are not real. But for a user this can be a great advantage. Expecting a counter attack is a great way of utilising this genjutsu to it's max. There is only a limited window of oppotunity once you use this genjutsu. I would recomend one uses it in short range due to the fact that it will make it almost seemingly impossible to deduce in such a short time and range but that is just me. If your opponent is trapped in it, it is highly likely that a chidori nagashi will be used to escape the vines grasp so your follow up attack must be prepared for that.

Body flicker is not allowed in our RP so it's safe to say it's not that jutsu. Though a swift release technique is a better arguement.

Also i think you are mistaken about this jutsu. The vines are an illusion, thus, if a jutsu hits it nothing will happen. The jutsu would continue on, which means the vines binding you is only an illusion as well. Once you do this genjutsu, the opponent will be bound through the technique and not the vines. The opponent doesn't get bound once the vines wrap around the opponent. The opponent is bound soon as the jutsu starts. There is a small delay on the time the binding happens and the illusion makes it seem that it's doing it. There is a misconception on this throughout the base. So the best way to get out of this is reconizing it soon as it happens. [I get bount before the vines wrap around me??] that type of logic is the best way to get out of the illusion. The sound and the visual illusion of the ground breaking as the vines come up is invalid, as it will show within the illusion that it happens. Even if it doesn't say so within the jutsu destription, all of this happens.

Ahhh.. I see.. Sorry I thought it was a little more complex than that. It makes sense, a lot of these restriction illusions involve the natural, "I need to get out of here." approach. Which I used in an earlier breakdown. I am trying to not seem so redundant in my breakdowns. But some of these need some solid repetition when it comes to the break down to prove my understanding of the illusion. (Simple mistake with a simple solution..:p)

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death

The sudden appearance of the bud surrounding the opponent is a give away which will force level headed doujutsu users to look at their own chakra. But most users will panic allowing it's effect to take its hold. Sound, due to the fact that you are trapped in a bud sound from the ‘outside’ of the bud would be muffled or dampened so if the opponent uses a noisy jutsu or even obvious earth movement (If he has a summon out like Gamabunta his movements will create a lot of sound.) and the sound travels to opponents ears with clarity they can deduce that they aren’t actually trapped within something. Smell, being inside a bud of a flower will smell, regardless of the plant it is a dead give away. Touch , the leaves have no texture (They are completely permeable) so if the opponent tries and escape with brute strength (Due to fear, anxiety or frustration.) he will find his limbs going through the petals, but the opponent doesn’t have a lot of time to do this. If you are trapped inside something or covered by something to a pretty tight degree there will always be a shift in temperature. Whether the centre of the bud is warm or cold is irrelevant the point is that the temperature around you didn’t change the bud has no presence at all. No shadow being cast over you, the restriction of light and wind/fresh air fails to meet you. (great if you are by the ocean, fighting the description can be enhanced) the relative factors regarding isolation or being trapped apply here for successful escape. When casting this illusion it gives you a great advantage mainly because it restricts the opponents’ sight. Giving you a great opening for a surprise attack, but this move must be done quickly, because if the opponent gets out of the jutsu by panicing he or she will have ample time to counter it and the user might end up being vulnerable to an attack. (The user must anticipate this possibility)

(The user must anticipate this possibility)
A quick note that it takes a bit of finess and good strategy to utalize b ranked genjutsu and below within our RP. Most rpers will see rank and genjutsu and think nagashi in a way to break it. Therefore your follow up jutsu after using this just should be soething that prevents them from using nagashi.

Yea.. I noticed that awhile ago.. When I RP, I do my best to prepare for any following move and counter. Nagashi is something I always have at the front of my mind when I intend to cast a genjutsu.

( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death

Because it is a short range genjutsu, it forces the opponent to have little or almost no time to escape. This quick combinational illusion can be lethal if not deduced quick enough. The tree will not appear out of nowhere it will grow from the ground (Like all plants do) extremely quickly. This gives the opponent time to move or react. The stealthy stalking is a major issue even though you are a shinobi your opponent will also be one. If you aren’t “descriptive enough” about your approach the opponent will use it against you and use the sound from your footsteps or breathing to locate your location. This is a very useful genjutsu to use if it is raining or there is a lot of external sound going on to muffle and conceal your movements. The evaporation of the user is not enough to get free from the genjutsu. This makes it all about accurate, timeous and realistic deduction. (This should actually be applied all the time.) The tree is permeable so if the opponent freaks out and leaps away from the tree and releases a jutsu it will go through the tree. Nagashi can be highly expected here, so approaching the opponent can become very dangerous because the user will have almost no time to react to a nagashi surge.

( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction

Great technique, the positives for the user are great, but one thing the user must have in mind is that he or she is not concealed and because genjutsu is generally through ocular contact the user already has his eyes on you/facing you. If the user can come up with a unique way to put the user in a the genjutsu and simultaneously have an attack coming from the side it can be lethal. Natural reactions play a big part in the advantages of this genjutsu. The opponent will be forced to look backwards at their legs to notice the snakes(An opening). They have to deduce that they are in a genjutsu which takes sometime(An opening). Fear- They will most likely kick them away as they slither up, But their legs will go through them. (Nagashi might happen so the users follow up jutsu needs to have that in mind.) The opponent will generally freak out when it comes to this. The biggest thing the user must be aware of at all times is that the users arms will be free because the snakes need to slide up, so fast reaction handseals will happen. Allowing them to still perform jutsu's. This genjutsu has so many situational variables regarding the reactions and escape of the opponent.o_O Logically fear should grip the opponent, but if it doesn't the user has a little window in which to strike.

I like the snake one personally, I use it a lot. Doing things that emulate a summoning techniuqe makes it harder for them to use the random snakes coming from the ground as a way to identify it's a genjutsu. Even better if you do all of the things that a summoning techniuque requires to do this genjutsu. Though it takes longer and you really only looking for an opening to attack.

Yes, I think using real actions that emphasize the illusions effect is one of the things that makes a user great at genjutsu understanding the move then doing things to make it harder to deduce.

Question: Sorry, but what do the flowers do exactly to cause paralysis? It isn't constriction? is it pollen paralysis perhaps? Is it the succession of continuous hits from the uncontrollable growth rate and overwhelming number of flowers that I assume strike the opponent as they rise? Or does it rely on the users description (Use to your own discretion, which I highly doubt it is..?) Sorry this isn't that descriptive and I don't want to mess it up..

At bold. It is vague and needs revamping. Just don't take it too far like pollen paralysis, that is a CE i believe.
