First question: does it have to be a laptop? With that I mean, are you going to use it stationary all the time, or take it with you as well?
Might seem silly, but i know people who have a laptop and it always stays in the same place. If that's the case, you're better off buying a desktop IMO.
If not, specs look pretty solid if it's for casual gaming and using it for school (stuff like that). I'd suggest not buying a generic laptop though, but finding an online store (in your country) where you can customize it more properly to what you need. Thing is, you can adjust the price more to your own needs, and at the same time put in more features on which you find important. Also, you can put in an SSD instead of the HD. Pretty pricy though.
All in all, if you're not going to do that, the PC looks more than ok for one's average usage. Go for it, I'd say.

Yeah, like wes said, specs are solid. Even has a dedicated GPU. I don't like Toshiba but if it has great reviews go for it. I used to own a walmart Emachine which was a beast at the time because it had a 2.7ghz amd athlon dual core and 6gb of ram, back in 2009/10 that was a good gaming machine if you put in a good gpu and I did with an ati 5770. Best $300 I ever spent and was great despite Emachine being known as a terrible company. So if it has good reviews and good hardware then go for it. Just don't expect good customer support.
Looked up the gpu it's an 820. The 740 beats an 820.
Lower model CPU and does not state it's GPU. Tell me how it's better without the words "I own it and it works great".this is better
