First question: does it have to be a laptop? With that I mean, are you going to use it stationary all the time, or take it with you as well?
Might seem silly, but i know people who have a laptop and it always stays in the same place. If that's the case, you're better off buying a desktop IMO.
If not, specs look pretty solid if it's for casual gaming and using it for school (stuff like that). I'd suggest not buying a generic laptop though, but finding an online store (in your country) where you can customize it more properly to what you need. Thing is, you can adjust the price more to your own needs, and at the same time put in more features on which you find important. Also, you can put in an SSD instead of the HD. Pretty pricy though.
All in all, if you're not going to do that, the PC looks more than ok for one's average usage. Go for it, I'd say.
