Whoa there...I hope you're not grouping Naruto in with the natural born geniuses. He was possibly the dumbest kid in his class, and he got to where he is through hard work and endurance. At the beginning, he couldn't even pronounce "chakra" correctly, and now he's Hokage!

As for Boruto, he used the Kote device because it allowed him to go BEYOND his natural abilities. If I recall correctly, Boruto can only make 3 shadow clones at a time using his own chakra. With the Kote device, he could make enough to surround Shikadai without using any chakra. He's kinda like Konohamaru in episode 2 - Boruto wants to defeat Naruto to gain acknowledgement, but doesn't realize how far he has to go to even come close to Naruto.

No, that's essentially were you are wrong. He didn't just use the Kote device to go beyond his limitations, he used it to cheat. The Kote device usage works with a scroll, and when the user activates the certain seal with the scroll launched, the technique activates. The person must seal a technique in the scroll for it to use. Konohamaru asked Shikamaru to place the shadow possession jutsu into the scroll, and later he placed his own Rasengan in there. For Boruto, he's been placing his own techniques into the scrolls so that he can activate the techniques faster, and without wasting chakra.

What Boruto used against Shikidai was his own shadow clones placed into the many scrolls, and he cheated with them by activating them all at the same time, surrounding Shikidai which caused him to give up.

It's not about Boruto cheating, it's about how the device works, and how the scrolls operate. Since Boruto is the one who uses the device in the movie outside of Konohamaru, he's basically our guinea pig.

The charka manipluation device allow the user to use almost any ninjutsu in existence, apart from Kekkei Genkai related since it kinda complex to seal or use as it has setbacks.

The Strength of the ninjutsu is depend on the one that seal it in the scroll.. mainly Jonin level shin-obi personal, but it can still be overcome by an natural user since they can increase the overall strength of it.

performing an hand seal that represent one of the five nature element, it will auto cast the jutsu.

you need to prepare before hand on what type of jutsu to be use as you, need to program to use the jutsu as it limited to one type of jutsu per element.


Boruto is natural at Ninjutsu, it why he is called an prodigy.. only in ninjutsu nothing else..

Maybe in the novel he has it but none of the movie spoilers have said otherwise....but really if he did have that capability then it'd be reaching a new level of lazy to not at least try to use it in battle. boruto is simply lazy when it come to being an shinobi.. it not on this need to do list...that is covered by coming up with ways to spent time with this pops an this mom an sis.. everything else is not that importance.

didn't have the drive to enter the chuunin exam..or train..it wasn't him.. he doesn't know the meaning of handwork of teamwork since he create shadow clones to cover needing anyone else help to deal with this own problems.

kote device has it many uses.

Hagamoro want the people to use charka to connect with other people.. instead of using it for warfare.. the device kinda doing that in away.

people doesn't need to use they chakra for weaponize but use the device for self protection when needed. As such it no need for anyone to increase there charka pool to be supreme to someone else.. as everyone will be the same, an the use charka from other peer to perform ninjutsu.. lol.. kinda connect with other..lol

in the end they could focus use they own charka to connect an better understand others without words or action, as it was the reason Hagamoro shared the mysterious of chakra to the world, that would also stop this own kind form invasion...lol

It's confirmed what-ever the Novel is stating, happens in the movie generally. It's stated that he can use Wind, Lightning, and Water.

@SilverJay - You have to remember this boy takes shortcuts, which is exactly what the device does. Anyway, you can't use Ninjutsu on Momoshiki. Boruto figured that out after he tried to spam with the Kote when frightened.

Just like someone said once, Boroto is like Freiza. He is someone who is naturally very talented. Who never trains hard. Once he applies his brain to that talent he can be unstoppable.
