I saw in the trailer it takes place 2 years after Naruto and Sasuke's last fight

Yeah, the movie does take place two years later, but there's been a rumor circling around that 699 will be the end of the war, then the movie will happen, and then 700 will show a time even further in the future. O_O But I don't think that has been confirmed anywhere, so take it how you will. xDHaha, it does! Wait what?

Anyways, I think the movie is a prequel to chapter 700 or something, since Kakashi is Hokage in the movie, and according to leaked scans, Naruto has the Hokage cloak when training his child.

And so it has come to a close. I'm really going to miss this manga. :T_T::NO: Chapter 699 ended beautifully and I enjoyed seeing what the future held for Konoha. Honestly though, I would have been fine with 699 being the official ending. There were a few things in 700 that irked me or confused me. I don't think we need a spoiler to say this, since it shouldn't be a surprise, but seeing Naruto as Hokage in the end gave me goosebumps. Fifteen year journey definitely ended on a good point there.
Here are the things that I'm curious about or that bothered me...
And so it has come to a close. I'm really going to miss this manga. :T_T::NO: Chapter 699 ended beautifully and I enjoyed seeing what the future held for Konoha. 2. Sasuke and Sakura's daughter strikes me as a bit odd. I notice that a lot of people are claiming Salad is actually Karin's daughter. I can see where they're coming from, especially with those glasses, but I'm hoping that's just Kishi trying to be creative with character designs.
3. And speaking of character designs...InoXSai's son looks weird. I'm not a fan of that pale skin with those eyes and hair. I'm not even gonna comment on ChojiXKarui's kid. That pairing came from waaaaayyy out in left field.
4. I wonder if Sasuke ever gets his left arm or not. We couldn't tell in the chapters because of his outfit. Either way though, I'm glad that at least Naruto has his right hand back even if it is a Zetsu-like one.
5. Bolt and Himawari. Those kids seem like exact copies of their parents, especially Bolt. They're adorable! I'm kind of curious about why Bolt is seeking attention so badly. I mean, I get that his father is the Hokage and is busy a lot but at least he is alive.

I'm not ashamed to say that I cried my eyes out once I saw Naruto as Hokage. I mean, it's literally a dream come true. Naruto's dream. <3 It's the day we've all waited for since we met him, and it's the dream we all believed in from day one. Like Kaya, there were of course some things that bothered me, but those are for another day. Right now, the various pros and cons aren't enough to take away from the satisfaction I got upon seeing Naruto in the position that he's fought so hard to gain this whole time. It was truly wonderful and so sentimental. Kishimoto still succeeds at causing the feels. ;_; And I gotta admit, it was pretty cool seeing everyone so grown up, too. *_*
I'm excited that we still have the movie to look forward to and even this mini-series about the new generation. :x3: It definitely won't be the same, but we'll continue to see our boy Naruto from time to time. <3

I'm really feeling the relationship between Naruto and Boruto to be honest. The way Naruto pulled his pranks when he was a kid, he was alone, and had no one to pay attention to him. Boruto is in the same boat, but he's fortunate to actually have a living family, and people who care about him. This was truly a great ending, I enjoyed every second of it.
