Wasn't Pain surprised by his sage mode, though? I can't quite remember. I would think if Pain didn't know of it, or much about it, then neither would Kisame, given Nagato was Jiraiya's pupil.

In terms of Madara, I dunno. there's got to be some weakness. When you have 2 hokages, a Sannin, and the often claimed "smartest ninja" Kakashi, you'd think they could figure it out.

Yeah I didn't mean that it automatically happened and there was no interference, it would obviously require help from Jiraiya, Naruto and Kakashi to fend off the rest while they do it, but I can't see Kisame and Kakuzu fairing too well vs Minato and Hiruzen, the 2 strongest ninja in the manga's history, at least, according to Kishi, working together.

Maybe I should have substituted Madara for Orochimaru to make it a fairer fight, I dunno. But I would think Madara has some way of being defeated.

yeah I think Orochimaru would have made it more balanced.
I think Akatsuki takes this, 'cause they have a better chance of winning against their ideal opponents

akatsuki is too overpowered itachi has to be on konoha's side instead of kakashi but still madara with rinnegan and sharingan is way too good, team akatsuki would win.

It's really not fair to team Konoha because of Hiruzen in his old age, which just makes him a pretty easy target for the akatsuki. You should of at least put him in his prime and put itachi on the leafs side.

Easy victory for Akatsuki , Madara with Rin'negan and this edo not sick Itachi probably can take Minato, Hiruzen and Naruto, and Pain, Kisame and Kakuzu would easily beat Jiraiya and Kakashi.

Akatsuki.

Itachi will Tsukiyomi either Kakashi or Hiruzen with eaze.
Kisame has mad endurance and chakra reserve.
Nagato has Pein's and himself. He was proven to handle Naruto quickly and instantaneously plus he has summons and paths.
Kakuzu could handle Kakashi cause he has 4 hearts flying around.
Lastly Tobi has Rinnengan and Sharingan and his own 6 paths which we don't even know how powerful they are.
Akatsuki has all the summons, Pein Paths, Tobi Paths, Kakuzu Hearts and Kisame Samehada.

Its basically 30 vs 5, but Naruto could shadow clone.

Nagato, Tobi and Itachi are already too formidable for the 5 Konoha elites.
Thats a fair fight.
