There was a path because he was rebuilding Konoha. There have to be some streets there ^^.
It's just a testament to his Mokuton prowess.
Ofc I'm not saying Itachi gets stomped by that but it is threatening after all if he decides to activate his Susanoo.

Still failing to see how this is going to bypass or get through Susanoo.

Oh well, I saw her picture and assumed she was part of this.
This will make things easier, then.

The Akatsuki Duo mid-difficulty.

Yeah, I got myself caught on that one as well.

Aren't non-legged Susanoo valuable to penetration from beneath the ground? (I mean not only when they stand but also when jumping - isn't that part of Susanoo accessable?)

Even if it is, sprouting a house under Itachi isn't going to damage him, he'll just be standing on the house once its been created.

Before the Mokuton formed houses, it was a bunch of spiky 'branches'. You can clearly see them, especially on the left side of that scan.

And do not take this scan literally. It just shows Yamato's Mokuton scale and we know from manga that he can manipulate his Mokuton to make it sharp and edgy, so doing it as well here is no problem at all.

Different techniques look differently and have different scales, so saying he can do this technique with characteristics of other techniques doesn't work. Not to mention the house would appear first as Mokuton comes up with the front facing up.

No he can't. Gai would defeat Kisame every time.

^ That said, I do believe the Jounin can pull through. With manga knowledge, Gai knows exactly what needs to be done to eliminate Kisame. Through the use of the 6th/7th gate, Gai is able to repel Kisame's landscape changing water sources [ ]; not only does this allow Gai to close in on Kisame, but it does ultimately mean Gai can finish him off there and then [ ]/[ ]. Kisame having to go up against his worst nightmare in a sense, does mean he's practically ruled out of this battle. Gai has counters to his entire arsenal.

Itachi, well, he's also pretty stumped. Needless to say, any Genjutsu bar Tsukuyomi isn't working in this fight. Due to the Konoha Jounin possessing the overwhelming odds, the buddy method can be used [ ]. Even if he does use Tsukuyomi against 2-3 of them, he's simply exhausting himself. Not to mention Kakashi already has all the knowledge in the world regarding Tsukuyomi and avoiding it [ ]. Or, the use of clones in Kakashi's/Yamato's case can be made in avoiding Tsukuyomi [ ]. Amaterasu would prove to be more difficult, but it cannot be spammed. Hiashi, for one, has a viable counter in Kaiten; his Byakugan being the warning factor [ ]. When team 1 notices his bleeding eye, Yamato can proceed to produce a Mokuton barrier, which should block the attack [ ], at least, long enough for the Konoha Jounin to plan one step ahead.

Susano'o, being the final resort, shouldn't be that big a deal to be perfectly honest. Without his legendary items, Itachi won't be able to dish out damage lethal enough to completely dead off team 1. In fact, Hiashi himself should be able to hold it back. Yasaka Magatama is effortlessly repelled with Hiashi's air palm [ ], as are any advances from Susano'o itself. It should get outlasted, if it reaches that stage. Which it should.

You got it all wrong ;o He doesn't summon full houses. He builds them from scratch with the 'branches'. The house in the middle is being build by them actually, you can clearly see it. So in battle situations there would be no houses - just piercing branches.

Overall, we may agree to disagree, since I myself I'm not really conviced whether T1 would win or not, but when it comes to Yamato's Mokuton - I'm gonna stand by what I wrote and posted.

Gai got lucky against Kisame. He only faced him twice, the first time was Kisame's 30% chakra clone, the second time he didn't have his Samehada. 100% Kisame, with his Samehada's fusion is in whole another level. Healing, speed, mountain-sized water bubble traps... Gai won't display his 7th gate immediatly, as well as he will be too late to do it.

Itachi, well, he's also pretty stumped. Needless to say, any Genjutsu bar Tsukuyomi isn't working in this fight. I spit on that "Buddy method" of yours, Tsukyomi only takes 1 second to rape someone for 72 consecutive hours. Once someone makes an eye contact with Itachi, he's done for. Other genjutsus might not kill any of them, but it's enough to create an opening for Itachi to lauch further attacks. If they're gonna keep saving each other from the Genjutsus, it will be a wasted time in their favor, a more-than-enough time for Itachi to analyse the situation and take them out.
Having Knowledge won't help you either, you can't defeat an S-ranked criminal with your eyes closed unless you're a sensor or a Rinnegan user who can share his vision with his summons, we have none of the listed cases in here. Tsukyomi will, at least, take out one of them.

On the verge of death, Itachi used one Tsukyomi, two Amaterasus, one complete susanoo and defeated Orochimaru's strongest summon. Why do poeple always underestimate Itachi's stamina reserves? Amaterasu doesn't need to be spammed in the first place. Itachhi is not Sasuke, he always analyses the surroundings and shoot his black flames in the perfect place, he doesn't spam.
Hiashi tanking AMaterasu, seriously dude? It's a flame, not a solid object. It can't be repelled nor turned off. Even if he keeps spinning, the black flames will eat his flesh to his death.

You're right about the susanoo not being able to land some damage without his Items, that's why it will play a defencive role in this fight. The OP took out Susanoo's offence? fine, the defence is still on. Nothing in the jounin's arsenal can break Itachi's complete susanoo, or even the ribcage.

Not quite.

- Water bubble traps? Gai's aura while in gated form repels water [ ]. Did you even read my post?
- Haha, fusion form? First of all, Kisame only goes fusion mode when the water dome is set up [ ]; simply allowing him to breathe. That is all. Now you tell me, why would Kisame fuse when Gai's aura allows him to repel the water dome? It isn't effective against an opponent like Gai, that is all.
- Healing? Kisame absorbs the chakra of the attack/person and converts into his own energy [ ]. Gai being a Taijutsu based fighter will have nothing to fear, and if he were to confront a Gated Gai in CQC again, game over [ ]-[ ]-[ ]
- As far as your "it'd be too late" proposition... really? Gai was shown to open the 6th gate instantly [ ], despite him being already trapped in one of Kisame's water formations.

Talk about selective reading.

I mentioned the buddy method in the case of Itachi's lower Genjutsu's; why you're mentioning Tsukuyomi despite me suggesting another route in overcoming it is beyond me. Using the buddy method will waste their time in their favour? Vice versa my friend, it's Itachi who's going to be wasting not only his time, but his chakra. He can try and use weaker Genjutsu's all day long; not only are they futile, but he's progressively depleting his stamina. As far as it allowing Itachi to create openings, you couldn't be any wronger. Itachi being a single being can only trap a single person in a Genjutsu at a time [ ]. That is of course, if he chooses not to use clones -- pretty pointless, as he'd only be dividing his chakra in half, and even then it can still be broken by people like Kakashi with courtesy of the Sharingan, and Hiashi being able to fight with his eyes closed [ ]. So regardless of the alternative routes Itachi takes to place them in smaller Genjutsu, the Konoha Jounin will always have someone to not only break them out of it, but protect them. Konoha Jounin, possessing the overwhelming numbers, need only one person disturb their chakra, and thus the Genjutsu is broken. During this time, I fail to see how Itachi can launch an attack when you've got 4 more Jounin standing vigilantly. Any blindsiding attacks are automatically negated by the Byakugan.

And no, having knowledge will help you. Same knowledge which helped Kakashi avoid being placed in a Genjutsu in their second altercation[ ]. Same knowledge which helped Gai formulate a counter strategy [ ]. Passing on this knowledge means Hiashi can fight with his eyes closed, Gai can fight focusing on the feet (when he's done pummeling Kisame U_U), Kakashi can use various clone feints, and he's also mastered Gai's technique, Yamato through the use of long range Mokuton attacks and Wood bunshins with telepathic communication [ ] etc.. I won't deny someone ought to get caught in Tsukuyomi, but it won't be easy.

Itachi is a resourceful person. If something doesn't work the first time, he isn't using it again. Using Amaterasu during the perfect time won't stop Hiashi from seeing through it. He can see the build up of chakra in the eye, step 1. Then, the all obvious bleeding eye comes, step 2. This is more than enough time for Yamato to erect massive Mokuton constructs [ ], hindering Itachi's line of sight. From there, other measures can be taken to ensure they escape the flames entirely.

No, just no. In a nutshell, the way Shinra Tensei Amaterasu, is the same way Kaiten will. Kaiten expels chakra in an outward force, repelling either the attack, or the person [ ]. `Burn the chakra? Oh, just like it burned the Samrai's Or perhaps Gaara's ? Nah. It's just going to get repelled.

Then he simply gets outlasted. He can't hide in his Susano'o forever. And actually, should Gai return after beating up Kisame, Hirudora turns his Ribcage into dust.

The Jonin team takes this.

Guy has already been shown to be able to defeat kisame in any situation, so he isnt a factor. Itachi will be a challenge but with kakashi + Asuma + Yamato it shouldnt be that difficult.

The Jounin manage to take this with perhaps one or two survivors in the end.

Team itachi shits. Manga canon made base itachi shit on 2 konoha jounin with the lowest of difficulty. Only challenge is kakashi and hiashi but kisame could shit on those while itachi shits on the rest.
