Konoha can beat Pain w/o Naruto

The main problem here could be Deva Path, Asura Path, and Animal Path. The other Path could get killed easily i think. Even if they can share vision with Rinnengan, they must still have to avoid attacks, and against a lot of elite ninjas and Anbus, i see them being killed easily. But for the 3 i mentionned earlier, if Kakashi has support of some medical ninjas or katsuyu(who could heal him), Kakashi will possibily use kamui directly to kill Deva path( now that he knows his power, he won't hold back). Asura Path could get kill by Gai, and for Animal Path the only problem could be his summons and particularly the dogs, but either Sakura or Tsunade could handle them, when Animal Path get finished later.

Well Idk, but more than half of the village would've die for sure, and Konoha would've been over, even if they could've beat Pain.

Everyone who says Shikamaru can one-shot with stitching or that unlimited shadows gives him the win, you forget that Shikamaru can only hold people according to his and their strength-- Tayuya was able to break his shadow smothering because he wasn't strong enough to hold her, while Hidan was able to break shadow possession in a second. Deva path easily defeats Shikamaru, even if Shika catches him, but probably before then.

Good points about intelligence, but it can only go so far. I think Shikamaru and especially Kakashi can go quite far with their brains but not forever... Madara and Nagato are among those I think are too strong to be beaten by only smarts. In this battle I don't think Shikamaru can separate the Pains with shadow possession or that he and Kakashi could figure out a plan to win considering the abilities before them.

In a way power in a DBZ sort of way is too much... big ST, CT, and GM are just too much for a clever strategy imo, but maybe that's just me...

If they knew where all the paths were they would have beat them but the fact that the paths are scattered put them in a difficult position.

We aren't going on this soley by brains of course. Like I said earlier, with the the matchups, they could do someting similar to that.

Hmph who knows. Plot no jutsu maybe because he had to be introduced before he dies against Sasuke. If Danzo was there then HA! It'll be too easy. Remember Danzo loved and wanted to protect the Leaf although he was twisted

If things got too heavy all Nagato would have to do is evacuate, they may kill a few bodies of Pain but they wouldn't be able to truly win.

I agree they could've beaten Pain without Naruto if they actually worked together. Kakashi would've beaten Deva Path if he had used Kamui instead of Chidori, Tsunade didn't even get a chance to fight Pain, Guy could've killed one of the paths, Danzo would've been able to help out if he wasn't such an *******, etc.

But the only problem would be that there would be a lot more main characters dieing, and Naruto wouldn't have been able to talk Nagato into reviving them. So it's a good thing they didn't fight on their own

you say they win easily? no, nagato/pain decided to attack konoha alone which means he was sure of his power, and what would happen if pein decided to throw every single summon against them, if that doesn't work he always has that huge st, then he could even make ct to trap them all and if he become desperate he would use gedo mazo and still a lot in his arsenal. having said this maybe konoha could've win but not easily, that's just underestimating nagato/pain.

Having those extra ninja there would free up the groups... You could have the Ino Shika Cho triox 2 fighting.

Kakashi+Guy alone could stand a decent chance at defeating Pein (they were confident they could take out Tobi's rinneigan powers) with knowledge.

Guy in 7th gate moves at least as fast, if not faster than Nartuo and Jiraya in SM, and his Taijutsu will be stronger and we saw how effective that was against Pein.

Agreed except for the bolded part. He's wayyyyyy faster than SM Naruto and SM Jiraiya in his 7th Gate

They could if Kakashi knew about Pain ahead of time, of course they would have to spit all the Pains up to disrupt there field of vision. So yes it could be done.
