[Discussion] Kizaru is stronger than Akainu

Akainu was shown the strongest admiral but he could be defeated by other admirals maybe.

Portrayal wise: Akainu>Kizaru>Aokiji.

We haven't seen Kizaru fight as hard as Akainu and go all out so all we have to go off with gauging his strength is hype and portrayal.

Not off of his ice, but you have the right track. Kuzan's ice has been transparent, which means light can pass through. As shown with Whitebeard, being frozen doesn't stop you from using your DF powers. Kizaru could transform into light and pass through the ice if he is frozen.

Kizaru's Magatama also broke through the frozen bay and continued on through the water,so Kuzan's attacks like Partisan or Pheasant Beak can be countered by it.

Akainu's portrayal is superior. Apparently Kizaru is reserved for Sanji since their fighting styles are similar so I guess we can safely say that Akainu is stronger as he's assumed to be Luffy's opponent.

Ya I know that but Zoro's opponent'll most probably be Fujitora as he's more of a SM than Kizaru and Zoro VS Fuji was already hinted at Dressrosa. Besides Kizaru is well know for his light speed kicks.

Kizaru used his sword once. Even against Z, he used it far less than his beams and kicks. It's far from appearing to be his main combat style, especially considering he didn't use it once in the war.

If it were Devil Fruits alone I'd say Kizaru's better than Akainu, but I think Akainu's got stronger haki, which would give him a definite edge in a fight. I also don't think we can make a linear definition of who is stronger than who. It all comes down to how each DF measures up against each other, e.g. Gomu Gomu vs Goro Goro, and how much of a role Haki will play.

It doesn't work like that, WB couldn't freeze the vibrations yes you are still conscious but it's not like you're free to do what ever. While magmata could break Partisan but not Pheasant Beak.

Uhm, yes it does. Kizaru just turns into light and phases out. He just has to consciously activate his powers, turn into light and reflect out.
